install of linage os 13 through CWM - Xiaomi Mi Pad Questions & Answers

First of all search
Repartition_MI_Pad_1_2GB_zardMi3.Zip
And download it
And then download
CWM RECOVERY 6.0
OR OTHER VERSION you want
Of CWM
And install cwm by just going into
Update software of xiaomi pad
And on upright corner click on icon
And then select install zip
Select CWM RECOVERYzip and afterword reboot it and it will again open as usual
Now power off it
Now press volume up and power button simultaneously
Wait for few seconds it will open CWM RECOVERY. And then go to system 1 and backup your current ROM (I insist not necessary) and then Wipe data ,cache, system
,Dalvik cache,
After wiping system 1 go to system 2 again wipe
System cache, data , system and then go back to system 1 and select install zip and select Repartition_MI_Pad_1_2GB_zardMi3.zip
And afterword again select install.zip
And then select linage os 13.zip placed in your sd card
And flash it up
After finishing it install gapps and
Hurry it's all done okey
But these all should be done through system 1 only and it should be active shown
Thank you
For those on whom TWRP didn't worked okey
As I have used both but TWRP DIDNOT WORKED FOR ME
NO BLAME CAN BE PUT ON ME IF SOMETHING WENT WRONG ON YOUR XIAOMI PAD OK
THANKS AGAIN

[Q] How to flash a ROM steps for TB

I am new to rooting and I wanted to flash another ROM other than the stock one after rooting. I followed the steps given to root my TB and that was cake. Thanks for the simplicity. I am now looking to add the Virus ROM but not 100% confident in how to do this. There are several steps given for other devices but I have yet to see one for the TB. If someone could point me in the right direction or link me to the actual steps that would be appreciated.
Install Clockwork Recovery
Boot into CWR
Select "wipe data/factory reset"
Select "yes -- delete all data"
Go back using the softkey
Select "install zip from sdcard"
Select "choose zip from sdcard"
Find and select your desired ROM
Reboot
Download the rom you want which will be store on your phones SD Card in Downloads then make a Backup of the rom you have now . Go into Rom Manager and select backup current Rom , you'll get a pop up were you can name the rom whatever you want , let it do it's thing , it will backup then restart the phone. When the phone restarts go into rom manager again and select Install Rom From SD Card , it will take you to your SD Card where you'll go into Download where the rom is stored , select the rom you downloaded you'll get a pop up which will ask if you want to wipe , check wipe and then ok . Let it do it's thing again when it down it will restart and ask you to set up you accounts just follow the steps . When everything is set up go in to the market and select My Apps you should see all your application downloading give them some time to download. Then it's all up to you to set up your home screens .
Don't forget to wipe the cache partition , and also select advanced and wipe dalvik cache. I would do all the steps listed above and these 2x, just to be on the safe side.
Where can I find those options?
Sent from my rooted Thunderbolt with VirusROM AirborneTB. Xda premium
wish i would have found this like 4months ago...when i rooted my first phone.

I'm new to Android but have some experience with rooting on other types of devices. I'm looking at flashing this ROM with ROM Manager and the process above: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1041514
I think I understand what's happening on the phone when I do this but wanted to make sure. Other than the usual disclaimers about risk of bricking, is there anything else I need to know?
just in case you didn't know how you hold volume down and the power button to get to hboot and then pick recovery from there. otherwise if you just want easy download rom manager from the market

Where can I find these options, and in what part of the flashing process should I do them?
Just a quick question, its really not necessary to wipe data and cache very time is it?

Did you follow the all of the instructions when you installed CM 7 since are coming from FR008?
Format the system, data & cache partitions of your device.
Perform a factory reset.
Flash CyanogenMod.
Optional: Install the Google Apps addon package.
yeah i did that but i didnt see market or anything..

Sounds like you may have a bad download of the Google Apps. Try using this link:
http://android.d3xt3r01.tk/cyanogen/gapps/gapps-gb-20110307-signed.zip
Try downloading straight to your phone and then flash from ClockworkMod.

I think you are confused on how to install the Google apps properly.
At step 4, you should choose install zip from SD card, then select the Cyanogenmod zip file and let it install it. Once it has finished, you should then choose install zip from SD card again and then choose the gapps zip file and let it install that. You should reboot the phone only after installing both zip files, one after the other.
You can also save yourself a lot of potential headaches by formatting the system partition before installing. You also didn't mention the dalvik cache but I'm assuming you did that as well. If it's still unclear, here's the whole process you should be following for a clean install:
1) Boot into Clockworkmod
2) Wipe data/factory reset
3) Wipe cache partition
4) Advanced > Wipe dalvik cache
5) Partitions menu > format system
6) Install zip from sdcard, select Cyanogenmod zip file
7) Install zip from sdcard, select gapps zip file
8) Reboot

Make sure you got the correct version of gapps for cm7. It should read something like: gapps-gb-20110503.zip.
Sent from my cm7 Aria.

HALP!

Ok. i followed the guide at the top of this forum to root my device. Everything seemed to work peachy. No errors, no nothing. I then attempted to use CWR to install Cyanogenmod 7.1. I used the guide on the Cyanogenmod wiki ***Link removed because of posting rules***
Because I rooted from here and installed CWR, I started at the part near the bottom.
Download the latest version of CyanogenMod.
Optional: Download the Google Apps for the device.
Place the CyanogenMod update.zip file on the root of the SD card.
Optional: Place the Google Apps .zip on the root of the SD card also.
Boot into the ClockworkMod Recovery.
Once the device boots into the ClockworkMod Recovery, use the side volume buttons to move around, and either the power button or the trackball to select.
Optional: Select backup and restore to create a backup of current installation on the Samsung Galaxy S II (AT&T).
Select the option to Wipe data/factory reset.
Then select the option to Wipe cache partition.
Select Install zip from sdcard.
Select Choose zip from sdcard.
Select the CyanogenMod update.zip.
Optional: Install the Google Apps by performing steps 7 - 9 again and choosing the Google Apps update.zip.
Once the installation has finished, select +++++Go Back+++++ to get back to the main menu, and select the Reboot system now option. The Samsung Galaxy S II (AT&T) should now boot into CyanogenMod.
Click to collapse
The problem i have though is that when my device boots, it goes to the Samsung Splash screen and sits there with a yellow exclamation point. Does nothing else.
i did boot back into CWR and run my backup, so my phone is back, but I'm still clueless as to what would cause this. Any help please.
you need to go into CWM...format system and cashe, factory reset/data wipe....then install CM7, try it like that it should work.....some people have said to flash the CM7zip twice!
I did just notice something. The Zip for Cyan is titled "Update-cm-7.1.0-Galaxys2ATT-signed.zip". Does that mean it's an update and not the full install?

LG p500 How to install Android Icecream Step By Step

These are the steps I followed yesterdat night to update my Lg optimus p500 to Android 4. I have collected all these from different posts & Sites, So thanks to them who really made this possible. After reading lot of posts you might be confused about the steps & Base band. I m telling you a simple way-
STEP 1- Attach your phone to LG pc suit & update phone software so that by default your phone base band will be updated to 20_ . You can see it from settings > About Phone.
Step - 2 Root Your Phone.
1. First of all, grab root package from the link ( http://depositfiles.com/files/lou8ae8uh )
2. And download needed driver pack , and install on pc then reboot pc (http://depositfiles.com/files/a45wh9f07 )
3. Enable usb debugging mode by going to settings>applications>developer on phone.
4. Extract root.rar to safe place like desktop.
5. Go to ADB folder , if you are on window 7 run cmd7.exe OR if you are using Windows xp then run cmdXP.exe .
6. After starting cmd7 or cmdXP, type following commands in Red Color
adb devices
then
adb shell
(symbol will change to $ or #)
echo 1 > /data/local/lge_adb.conf
7. After doing this, Reboot your phone
8. Now go to root folder on desktop again, and start SuperOneClick.exe
9. Select GingerBreak method and press root button
10. Wait few seconds and its done.
STEP- 3
1. Install Rom Manager from market on phone.
2. In rom manager application Click on install clockworkmod..
3. Boot Your Phone in Recovery Mode (Volume Down + Home + power Key)
4. Go to the main recovery menu and follow the below steps one after another to wipe data, cache and system.
‘Wipe Data/Factory Reset’ –> Yes
Mounts and Storage’ –> Format /system –> Yes.
‘Mounts and Storage’ –> Format /boot–> Yes.
‘Advanced’ –> Wipe Dalvik cache –> Yes
5. Switch off Phone & Remove memory card.
Now You are going to install rom-
6. Put the Rom & Gapp files (You can download from Here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1614420 ) on your SD Card’s main folder (With help of card Reader) for easy navigation since the recovery mode is tough to navigate with hard keys.
7. Put memory card back to phone & Reboot the phone in recovery mode again, After this choose install zip from sdcard option
8. Select the ROM (the same file that you just downloaded, beta_testing.zip) to install – your ROM will begin to install.
9. Once installed press the back button few times to go back to the main screen of Clockwork Recovery.
10. Choose reboot system now
11. Reboot Phone in Recovery mode & again install Gaapp app from sd card similarly & Reboot phone again.
People who wants exter like SD partition
WARNING!
THIS WILL DELETE EVERYTHING!
(SD CARD AND YOUR CURRENT ROM)
I am going to explain how to partition your sdcard for more user app memory..
This will give you about 1GB of storage to store more apps on!
1. Backup everything from your sd card and apps
(this will format your sd card and apps)
2. Boot into clockworkmod
3. Go to advance
4. - Partition SD Card
5. - 1024M (1GB)
(recommended for smaller sd cards)
6. - 0M
After this step the phone will just sit there for a while just leave it alone and it will say done when it's done!
Important!
- Wipe Dalvik Cache
- wipe data/factory reset
- wipe cache partition
Reboot your phone/ or install a custom rom (your choice as described above)
Download Link2SD from the market
Run Link2SD and a thing should pop and click on ext2 then reboot the phone..
First step can be simplified.
I used Unlock Root tool to root my phone 2nd time after i unbrick it.
And it works!
http://www.unlockroot.com/index.htm
The phone must be in debuging mode.
There are tons of guides already...and u must mention about wiping before flashing the zip! Otherwise this guide is wrong!

Are you sure you followed the steps exactly as you have written?
Coz i think without boot partition, the device would not be able to boot unless you install a new rom(which has boot partition) before switching off or rebooting.

I've tried that already, you can boot into recovery, but not start the OS. Then the Fastboot Mode appears.

Our phone doesn't have official ICS.Only custom made ICS is there. Therefore u need a rooted phone to flash it.Just like flashing custom ROMs.
It wont unroot ur device.
OP: I think u should edit ur post and put a proper guide.Otherwise people will be mislead.

Yep it'll unroot ur device. If ur on a custom rom, u have to flash official firmware (either froyo or GB).
Eitherway it unroots ur device. But now rooting is just a minutes work so better to update the baseband and root again.
P.S. I think u can update the baseband without flashing original firmware, but I am not sure about it.May be u could search for it.
This might help u : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=15250036

[Q] flashing cfw on sd with cwm the same steps or different?

hi i have used mindcr 2.9 rom i like it but wanted ro try different rom. well i have flashed mindcr many times cause i deleted something i need. so i toght i should try ankther rom in this case i chose simplicity v4 . but i cold not go into download mode only recovery so i wanted to flash back stock rom but i coldnt tried everything epcept the usb jig .. anyways i sent it to repair.. ill be getting it tomorrow. it was working only thing download mode did not work i tried all methods no luck . so here is my question... can you install another rom over mindcr with cwm? i search and many people said yes. so i did an phone got hard brick. if it dont matter then the procedure that i followes was wronf. are all roms installed trhu cwm in sd ca rd always the same dprocedure??? if so should i used the mindcr that i been using. any link for simplicity v4 ultimate i dont want v5 procedure from mind ans simplicity were almost the same are roms always installed the same procedure? i think if u can install a rom over anoher rom installed procedure from place i followed bricked my phone... thanks
It is best to install a Rom over stock. Even flashing over a Rom works sometimes. And yes every Rom is installed through cwm or e3 recovery. Simplicity v4 should be flashed the same way as mindcr Rom.

i aint staying stock hahah just want tobmake sure i dobit the rifht way... thanks guys
When you go into CWM recovery, there should be a section called Backup/Restore. Back up here, it Will take about 150mb-350mb of your sd card depending on what you have. So if flashing your Rom goes wrong you can go back to CWM and restore.
Then follow the procedure which is
- Root
- CWM
- Mount everything (it should look like unmount/system, unmount/data etc)
- wipe data and cache
- Advanced » wipe dalvik cache
- Mount everything again
- Install .zip from sd. Find the Rom and flash it.
This procedure will definitely work. If it doesn't just restore and try again.
Also, don't say thanks, but press it if I helped you
