Yes, default CPU governor is set to Barry-Allen.
Glad you like the kernel.

New build is up!
Check changelog.

Getting error, finger print hardware not available. Also there are 4 fingerprints saved and I can't delete them. Running smooth other than that
Edit,
Not sure what happened but I can't edit fingerprints anymore, I've even re flashed my old backup and kernel and tried re flashing the rom,
Before I flashed this kernel I took off locks, backed upand the flashed kernel. Not sure what's going on

Yeah I don't know what happened but nothing could undo the issue other than a clean install. Which sucks lol cause I have to redo everything and my backup is useless

I'm sorry for this.
But it's not a kernel issue.
No one have this issue. Good luck to restore your data

I've been running 1.7 / 1.8 for a few days now using Lionfish governor and i have to say it's pretty awesome. :good:

you don't like oc or is it in coming?
For what? You have a quadcore device running at 1.7GHz.
Sent from my One using xda premium
4x 2.0 seems to work better for me.
Sure but for what exactly you need it?
I have a OC patch too and i have try it.
With it i cant feel different.
Sent from my One using xda premium
can you mail me the patch or is it in a different kernel?
Revert
Sent from my One using xda premium
your kernel is very good but without oc i have little stucks on launcher
????
Works very smooth for me.
I dont think it have to do with no overclocking.

Certainly nothing to do with overclocking
Come on, dude. It's already more powerful than you need in the real-life apps.
about this OC discussion... no launcher in the world needs 4x 2GHz to run smooth (as no app needs it). Its hotplugging what causes this stutters because mpdecison is simply adjusted that way, to run with less cores as possible.....
try it out... switch off mpdecision.. but u will notice that the cores arent unplugged as they should and tada... the ui is buttery smooth even with a hardcore live wallpaper... even on 702MHZ max... why ? simple.. because the cores arent offline. bad thing on this... deepsleep is then half of the time used as it would use it with mpdecision on.
What this phone needs is a properly handling of hotplugging... nothing else... (if u ask me, 1,7 GHZ are way to much) I run the phone the whole time on 1350MHZ max and everything is smooth with interactive governor as PowerHAL kicks in with this governor....
@pinpong
i was busy with school last 2 weeks but havent forgot about the thing u sent me.. will report asap
dont think anyone needs more than 1.7 Ghz really. its just for stats and benchmarks.
flashing now!
Keep those updates coming!!
cifs modules?
i can't seem to find the cifs modules. flashed your kernel primarily because of cifs support
I know. This should fix in v1.08.
Sent from my One using xda premium
new version for latest cm builds with cifs as module.

ill second this notion. In a perfect world, 1.7 is plenty of processor for the launcher but with the current state of CM 10.1, the 2g OC really helps smooth out the micro stutters in the launcher. Everything else on the phone is smooth and snappy but the launcher lags a bit on the stock CM kernel for me.

I made that kernel for myself, but decided to share it:maybe someone finds it useful.
Short list of features(not full,I could forgot something):
Latest source code
Patched to version 3.0.101(credits to munjeni)
Compiled with GCC 4.8.2 toolchain(self builded)
Various optimisation flags(-mtune=cortex-a9 -mfpu=vfpv3 -mfloat-abi=hard)
Huge amount of CFS patches(improved load balancing)
Memory unaligned access
ARM RWSEM optimized algorithm
Asynchronous I/O disk usage algorithm
Auto-Root
CWM Touch Recovery
Init.d support
BusyBox
ZRAM(with LZ4 compression)/ZCACHE/UKSM/CleanCache
SLUB memory allocator
Overclockable to 1.2 GHz(stable only with performance governor(for now))
Dynamic FSync Control
Exclusive Bionic libc(improved memory acces efficiency)
Adaptive readahead
RCU boost enabled
Power Saving tuned
...list will be updated, when i remember more added features
Changelog
5.3->5.5
Stabilized overclock @1.2GHz(but be aware-phone is heating very much now(in OC mode))
Dynamic & async fsync(faux123)
RWsem & mutex patches
Several changes for ext4 and mmc subsystem
Added parameter extra_free_kbytes(by default 4096)
Switched to GCC 4.9.0
Frequencies by default:200MHz-1,2GHz
About overclock: For now overclocked frequency stable only with performance governor,in other cases reboots are possible(This information actual till version 5.5). This overclock-real, not just digits in "current frequency" field. Original overclock technology made by cocafe,I am just ported his LiveOPP to our device(only core functionality).
Also, exclusive libc integrated into kernel(I was compiled it from sources and changed string routines to more optimized for armv7).
I want to say thanks to all people with public github repos:there are very little amount of my code in that kernel, most of patches I was picked up from public sources.

The WiFi kernel module should remain as kernel-separate module?
I am noticed a little bug:

Optimizing libc is a good idea. Works great!

17000+ for Sola, but laggy?
Can't say anything about this Kernel, maybe this comes from device's less RAM and/or LMK is to aggressive?
So everything must be reloaded before running? Try to make LowMemoryKiller "softer".
Play with governors - check with i.e. NoFrills.

I am still working on the kernel. So if u encounter any bugs pls report with logs.
Little info about Optimus Governor:
Optimus governor is based on conservative governor. It sets the CPU frequencies depending on the current usage.
It differs in behaviour in that it gracefully increases and decreases the CPU speed rather than jumping to max speed
the moment there is any load on the CPU. It tries to stay on minimum frequency as much as possible reducing power
consumption. I have added a tunable OPTIMAL_THRESHOLD. When the load reaches optimal threshold the cpu frequency
increases to preset optimal_freq. You can adjust these parameters using a kernel tweaker app. It also makes use of simple
display state API to query panel ON/OFF operations reducing power consumption during screen off
I recommend using EX kernel Manager or Kernel Adiutor for tweaking kernel parameters if u want to.
Yo will there. Be support for the stock rom?
Are you the same Flashhhh who used to build for Moto G 1st?
@Flashhhh nice job mate!
Amazing ?

You should try the kernel on stock. I don't see a reason why it shouldn't work. Just backup your stock boot.img. If anything goes wrong u can always restore stock boot.img

We are using anykernel method. It doesn't replace boot.img so it should work. Just give it a try. But remember to backup stock boot.img

The kernel I'm talking about used the any kernel method as well. I'm talking about extended kernel. Didn't work until I flashed the one the dev made for stock

Ok . That wasn't the case for my previous device Osprey. The kernel worked on both custom and stock. I think I'll have to make a separate zip for stock then

Can you please include Faux sound , headset high performance mode also .?
Thanks for such an awesome work , I'll try your one on stock too to see if it works .
Ohhh yeahhh Flashhhh is here too. I'm in love potter support <3 ...
Man, I tried the kernel, and it is smooth. But with optimus, interactive, conservative, ondemand governors, the frequence goes to high clock (2.0ghz) and it stuck there for hude time, even without using all power, then it goes to Min (0.6ghz) and stuck there for hude time too, even when it is necessary to use high clocks.

This kernel is developed with performance and great battery life in mind offering some goodies cherry-picked from other popular kernels such as Flash Kernel, ElementalX, blu_spark, Boeffla Kernel, Sultan Kernel and Franco Kernel.
The kernel is always up to date with mainline linux kernel and is regulary updated with the latest fixes.
The goal is to provide a butter smooth experience, simmilar to what you get with the latest Pixel devices.
Affinity Kernel is based on the official kernel source released by OnePlus.
Code:
/*
* Your warranty is not void (Thank you OnePlus!).
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this kernel
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/

Installation:
Before you install the kernel, make sure you have
a backup of boot partition in case something goes wrong!
If you are coming from stock kernel:
Reboot into TWRP
Flash the Affinity Kernel.zip
Reboot
If you are coming from another custom kernel:
Reboot into TWRP
Dirty flash your rom or restore boot backup if you have any
Reboot recovery
Flash the Affinity Kernel.zip
Reboot
Updating:
Just flash the latest Affinity Kernel build over the previous one

On ROMs like Dirty Unicorns, WLAN won't work because the wlan module is required
to load on device initcall rather than late initcall like other ROMs do. There's a workaround for it but
it breaks WLAN on all ROMs that have the module built inline or the CAF way

I'll take this one
And this one
Thanks for the work, ill give it a try.
2 thing that bugs me are:
1- isnt restoring stock boot.img removes custom recovery and replaces it with stock one?(had that problem before)
2-is the kernel(pie) eas or hmp?
finally:good:
Thank you for your working on this kernel !
I have a problem with the least one. It's an eas kernel. My oneplus 5t restart it's os staying oneplus log more than 1 minute.Using r19 kernel spends about 30 seconds.
Is thit normal?
thank you.

1. Yes but it's better to do a backup of boot that has Magisk installed so you don't have to reflash TWRP
2. Since r20 it's EAS based

Haven't seen such behaviour yet, some users reported that it works perfectly on both 5 and 5T.
If I'm coming from a kernel like bluspark, I must flash the stock boot img first, correct? Where can I find this?

Dirty flash your rom
Kernel is good. Only thing i saw was cpu clocks wouldnt go down less than 800mhz and 500mhz.
Solid, liquid smooth, clean. For me it is better than RZ kernel

Affinity Kernel r21 is up!
Since r21, Affinity Kernel is available for custom ROMs as well. Should work well with every ROM except of OmniROM and TreskMod (which is Pixel-like OmniROM)
because Omni has its own way of loading the WLAN module so WiFi might be most likely broken. Anyway, you may also notice that on some ROMs that have EAS baked in, Affinity Kernel
default settings are not getting applied. That's because the ROM has its own post boot init script that overwrites my settings, not a big deal.
Here's the changelog:
Upstreamed to Linux 4.4.176
Support for custom ROMs
Some touchups for init script
Added O3 GCC optimalization
Readahead improvements
A bunch of kgsl improvements (adreno driver)
devfreq improvements
