I'm ok with the quality of the camera, what I cant stand is that the pictures are mirrored, and cant figure out how to disable that anywhere on the phone. I already opened a Q/A thread but it has been completely ignored. Am I the only one facing this issue?

Hmm I checked on my phone and found the option, although it doesn't say anything related to mirroring.
This is clearly a translation error on behalf of xiaomi, as my phone has Spanish set as language.
When I get home I will upload screenshots of what it shows for reference.

Basically it says
1st image: front camera
2nd image: when face detected; activated; deactivated.
Edit: I had to choose deactivated otherwise it will mirror the picture apparently, maybe later I'll test "when face is detected" option

Just a translation error. You should select activated if u want it to mirror the image captured.

switch to raw_sensor take an image
Goto /DCIM/FreeDCam/ there should be a file with .raw extension upload that file.
DNG Has two problems
bad identity matrix
black level set to high at 64 Omnivison sensors seem to max out at 16 while sony at 64
with the sample i maybe able to correct this till oppo fixes it

you are right. at least 1/3 of the picture is cut of. color reproduction is yellow tinted.

yeah yellow tint is just whitebalance issue the bigger issue is the cut part
iv'e enabled the third alternate picture format hopefully 1+2 supports this
in format check if you see raw10 if its there select shoot an image and upload resulting .raw image this should not have 1/3 missing issue .

Does it go crazy before capture or only after touching shutter ? Are you using touch to focus or just pushing shutter and letting AF do everything ?

I doubt it. I'm not sure about you but the s6/s6e are both bull**** devices that were clearly test devices to make way for the s7. The s5 had the sd card with the water resistance and dust proof that was taken away for the s6 and edge and then brought it back for the s7. Everybody who got any variant of the s6 was ripped off in my opinion

On the S6E+, with Pro mode enabled first, it's possible to manually focus using the slider

There is an app called " Cinema 4k " and you can do it while recording video, but for me it doesn't work with marshmallow...
Update to MM and pro mode has been changed a bit. You can even choose aperture time shot. The iso has lowered to 50 too.

During video recording use pinch for one time and then a bar will be there for manuel focus. Not sure if this is what you asked.

Yes there is a vertical bar (S7), or horizontal bar (S6) that enable you just to zoom, but you'll be able to focus by taping the screen with Pro mode enabled first, try this Bro....

Works on my P10 VTR-L29C432B164 but I can't find any improvements, there isn't a manual mode and the HDR mode is complicate to use.
It does work until I go into settings. After that it immediatly crashes and reboot won't help.

no, 2nd link for snapdragon is the one that works
For the peeps who are saying that it works, yes it works but there is no difference in the photo, I tried this app like five days ago and also tried with the latest release even tho I knew that it needs the snapdragon DSP to work, the app crashes if you change settings and choose limited plus the other recommendations that they give on the thread where they have the app. I tried all of the settings made several photos indoor and outdoor and it doesn't work it just takes the pictures like any other camera app would, it doesn't even have the HDR mode activated, a proof of that is that if you try to take a picture with the regular camera app on HDR and with the HDR+ activated from the app you can clearly see the difference of one that works on HDR and one that doesn't . Video recording also is broken on 60fps and slow motion as well. I uninstalled the app after a couple of days trying it out with every option possible . But the truth is "IT DOESNT PROVIDE ANY BENEFITS OVER THE REGULAR CAMERA APP" with out the HDR+ it's just as any other camera app out there. Honestly I been playing lots with the P10 camera app and have found that it truly is a great cam, I would recommend shooting in RAW mode and using Snapseed for editing. Plus Snapseed has some useful tips on how to improve your skills with photography.

It would be great to have something like hdr+, even if it's software-enabled, for our Huawei's camera. I have a P10 lite now, but my previous handset was a Nexus 5X, and hdr+ is the only thing I miss right now.
Crashes on startup on P10 Lite.
Enabling additional settings in the "standard" camera.
1. Using any file manager (for example, "Explorer"), go to the DCIM folder on the internal memory, then to the Camera folder .

it's for touch focus timeout,
some other setting details :
MFNR => Multi-frame noise reduction
SR=> automatic scene optimization
Dual SAT => camera takes picture with dual camera and then combines them in one picture (every camera shoot's in her best optical range)
Anti banding option is i believe to remove bands caused from power lines (lights) and freq. in which they operate (60 Hz, 50 Hz or auto)
Confirming that this works with the Global update to Android 10.
There is a new option at the bottom, in Chinese. Does anyone know what it is?

1)Have some issues with focus on my camera after enable and disable those features. Now when i open the camera, it needs some time to focus, or not focus at all. Dont know if it has to do with those features.
2)Any idea in simple words what those options do, cause in reality i cant understand any difference.

Has anyone managed to modify the Story shot mode for the LG G8x camera? I mean the Story mod has the potential to be something awesome, something like the LG Wing's dual video mode, where you can take video with both cameras at the same time. The hardware can do that, as the preview for this mod shows.
Instead it's a crappy uncustomizable mode that puts your face on top of half the screen, and you can't even customize where your selfie is put.
Is there any way to get the dual video mode from LG wing? (or LG V10 back in the day)

There are quite allot of dual camera apps on the store, most of them fake or not working, i have found 2 that work, but one of them does not show you a preview of the selfie picture, and the other one has a forced uneditable counter after which it will take the second shot.
Have you found any apps that actually do a good job with dual shot?

Best dual camera mod i found is Nokia camera on XDA. It's a camera app compatible with most phones, and it has PIP AND SPLIT SCREEN for BOTH PHOTO AND VIDEO!
