oppo r11 tempered glass for op5 - OnePlus 5 Accessories

Hello did anyone have tried before? Ist working or just my imagination :silly:

I should maybe have dug a bit further before starting my own thread about Oppo R11 cases. I believe the screen protector should work, but I can't confirm. Several reviewers noticed that OP5 cases fit the Oppo R11 quite well.

Are there any glass screen protectors that work with the otterbox defender?

I have an otterbox defender case on my phone, but the glass screen protector I had didn't fit with the case. It's a tad too wide up and down to fit in the opening. I'm looking for one that fits within the opening and does not need to be squeezed underneath the plastic lip. This won't work well anyways because it's such a tight fit.
Does anyone have an otterbox with a glass screen that fits?
I think one from Tolifeel will work, it was the smallest TG i found so far,
It has less edge cover

I'm having the same problem. I'm about to return a glass protector that did not work at all. I searched for the vendor Tolifele but couldn't find anything. Is there a website I can purchase from?

Sadly I looked up close at the picture that shows it close, and looks the same as the one I had. Won't fit the defender sadly. I found some dry install one, we'll see how it goes. Really wanted glass for screen protection though from a drop. Maybe I can dremel down the edges of a glass one sometime and see if it works

Think I've got one of these in my collection (got so many now, one day I'll find one that I like)!
Fairly sure it's the same as the other cheap ones, most of them on Amazon appear to be identical with different prints on the box.
Still searching..
Obviously let us know what you think when it arrives.

I applied it, perfect (I thought) made the error of using a spray of water (usually helps with movement ) but I ended up with a halo just over the screen, good job there's a second, doesn't appear to be any or much glue on the screen part itself, with the screen on its not noticeable, it's possible there's some moisture left, I'll leave it for a day.
Touches are a little hard to register but that'll be moisture also, I'll see how it goes, if it stays like that then I'll do the second one dry.

After the day, what I initially wanted to happen, has happened and the water has receded to the side after a little pushing, no bubbles, no hair's / marks / dust.
Protector seems quite thick, this will live with a case with a lip i have no doubt about it. I have several cases I could try, the protector is really stuck down and with the right amount of leverage you could get it covered by the case.
At the moment i have the karbon from 1+ which i prefer to use as i don't drop my phone very often and it's very slim.
Will see how it goes.

Didn't see my colleague yesterday, there is a way you can usually lift the inward lip on a case to clear the TGSP, I've always managed to get them on, Tech 21 have some of the strongest lips around and yet i've alway managed it.
Haven't heard anyone talk about them for the +5, will have a look, I'll enquire too, they make great cases.
Will let you know what one my colleague has tomorrow and i'll try it out, if i get it on i'll let you know the method i used
Fingers crossed (have a spare lol)
That screen protector went on perfect but I have to say in sunlight it's completely crap, seems to have a matte like haze over it, makes viewing the screen quite hard, can turn up brightness but that'll impact battery, guess I'll be looking for another.
Shame as it does allow any case, tested with several hard to fit cases, seems tough as old boots and in lower light it's really good but in day light it just makes the screen look dull.

Realme X2 Pro Screen Protectors

It’s great to see that realme has stepped up and made a flagship which is power packed and low priced at the same time. The back design and the realme branding looks cool on the device. So, should I go with the back protector to protect the back glass from scratches or only with the front one. Here are some of the screen protector options available for the X2Pro.

I beg to differ.
I have the European version (I don't know if it matters) and the bundled case and screen protector are actually just fine.
I have no issue with it. And no fingerprints on it.
I feel to see where the issue is.
I'd say your best bet is to try out the default screen protector and see if it fits you. No need to buy another one straight away.

Oneplus 7T is almost 1mm more narrow... Do they really fit? If they do I'll order this one:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07ZTPXLVQ/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=A279LIVC2BRR8I&psc=1
Also, does the fingerprint scanner still work after applying the screen protector?

That's what I used it fit good enough for me. I didn't try the fingerprint on my x2 pro (didn't use the phone enough) but on my Moto one zoom the in display reader works fine with the super sheildz on (and I'm sure the x2 pro has a better scanner)
Does a tempered glass protector work with the fingerprint scanner?
Anyone tried Official OnePlus 7T 3D Tempered Glass Screen Protector Black? Is it good fit?
Anyone could please recommend an official version of tempered glass protector to buy from Amazon? by ''official'' I mean an item done for this phone only. Or maybe one from another phone that can fit perfectly always from Amazon? Thanks everybody

EDIT: It arrived, but it is not even glass, its plastic
I bought this from Amazon:
ivoler 3 Pezzi Pellicola Vetro Temperato per Oppo Realme X2 PRO [Garanzia a Vita], Pellicola Protettiva Protezione per Schermo per Oppo Realme X2 PRO
It looks like is working good so far and covers almost the whole screen a part for some space left on the notch and the obvious curved sides. Overall a nice one made for this phone and you'll find 3 in the pack as well I can't say anything about durability so far because I never dropped the phone yet and I've been using it for few days only. I'll keep you update on this though if you like. Can't post links yet but I can send it privately. Cheers

Bought it too: https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B08197RFPG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Overall I'm quite satisfied with that even though the notch is not tailored perfectly on the x2 pro. The visible screen is covered decently and that leaves room for eventual backcovers with borders. The price is adeguate, probably there are better products out there but considering the phone is a new release in Italy and there are not that much screen protectors on Amazon.... so far, so good. Applied 2+ weeks ago and it's still ok.
Using hydrogel protector on front and back...
Did someone try a camera lens protector?
Which one can be recommended?

1st Screen and phone protector combo

Picked up the McClaren 5g version from T-Mobile yesterday, and I'm in love with the phone, throughout. Beautiful design, hardware, software. Everything.
I wanted a protective case however did not want to cover the beautiful back.
I figure the combo is cheap enough that I can get something else if this doesn't fit my needs.
Anyone else tried either of the two products?

What combo are you referring to? (No link or images provided.)
RhinoShield has the Crash Guard bumper & a clear skin for the backside (screen protector also available).
This combo definitely fits what you're looking for.
As with all of the Crash Guard bumpers, it adds quite a bit of an increase to the overall width of the phone. If that isn't a factor one way or the other, I'd say you need to look no further.
I'm sure there's some aluminum bumpers available from eBay & the like, but, they offer little to no protection & likely have an even more uncomfortable grip vs the included case or, the RhinoShield Bumper.

THX for posting the pix. :good:
There's several different mfgs with this design to be found on Amazon/e-Bay/Ali Express, etc......
I like the idea of clear cases in general, but, most seem to have some nagging traits....
The rainbow effect comes to mind right off the bat, as well as being a fingerprint magnet.
Most don't wear well after a few weeks of use, with scuffs/scratches.
A matte clear case may negate most of the above, but, likely will obscure the true appearance of the decorative backside.
I've seen some all-glass cases, encasing the entire phone, front & back, might not be a bad way to go.

I've had luck with uag clear cases, however, as you know they aren't truly 100% transparent and clear due to their honey comb pattern design.
That all glass case is a pretty interesting design, never seen it before. I wouldn't imagine it would look as good after 3,4 drops compared to a plastic /poly case.
I'm definitely not opposed to trying a different combo if this one doesn't work, as it was less than 20 dollars. I did look into the dome whitestone glass sp, however I'm opposed to applying an actual adhesive to my screen.
Any other decent glass sp that doesn't require adhesive?
Here's the case. After closely examining the edges of the phone and case, I am not sure this screen protector will be compatible as I will interfere at edges and pull up.
The screen protector and case fit perfectly. A bit different installation method then what I'm usually used to, but got it perfect on the second try. Very pleased.

Your case isn't even compatible with the phone. You are covering the laser autofocus area on the back. The 7 Pro cases don't have the necessary cutout. You need a 7T Pro case.
I know this was already addressed in a different thread. No longer using that case. Now using the one that came with the mclaren.

My McLaren (TMobile) did not come with a screen protector on it, not even the plastic type that all my other 1+ devices came preinstalled with. I thought this was odd but some folks around confirmed this device does not come with one preinstalled

You are correct. The T-Mobile version of the OnePlus 7 Pro and the OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren Edition do not come with a screen protector pre-installed which I find odd as even the Samsung Galaxy S10/S10+ come with a screen protector ND they have curved screens just like the 7 Pro and 7T Pro. The only OnePlus phones from T-Mobile that had them were the 6T and the 7T.
I have bought one in Middle East area and it has a plastic screen protector.
T-Mobile version definitely did not come pre-installed with one. DO NOT buy the one they sell in the T-Mobile store, it's garbage especially for $50 and they would not let me return it. I'm pretty angry. Tempered glass but it's not full adhesive, you see a line around the edge of the screen and it slides around/lifts extremely easily.
Now I have an iQ Shield one I bought on Amazon.
I was skeptical because it's one of those softer plastic screen protectors that you install with a solution spray and a squeegee, which I've always struggled with.
This one seems to be fine though, and it isn't too tacky like others I've used! Crystal clear, no bubbles, and no haziness even after only a couple hours from install.
T-Mobile mclaren USA. No screen protector. Check my other thread for an awesome one.
I went with the OUNIER tempered glass from Amazon and I'm not happy with it. It's impossible to get the fingerprint scanner to recognize your print and the dot matrix pattern can be seen in all lighting and all angles. I made my decision based on price, won't be buying it again.
Get the Whitestone and call it a day.

How do I check if it has factory screen protector? I can't see it and I don't really want to use fingernail to check Is it visible straight away? Anyone have some close-up picture?
@flither I don't have a picture but it was cleary visible that a screen protector was pre-installed (on my 7T Pro McLaren).
With a case it might be a bit more difficult to see the plastic screen protector right away, but if you hold the phone in your hands with no case applied, you should be able to see the edge screen protector/display.
thanks for help @stetre76, I thought it's the phone's design because the screen protector is perfectly applied

Big facts. **** just came off.
What i DID get to replace (with prime delivery) was ailun screen protector. The liquid glass adhesive plus screen protector.
Absolutely recommend. Do follow video instructions. It was kinda confusing. Also to note, when it says 2 minutes uv curing for the sides and edges (for anyone potentially getting this, perhaps similar)
What it MEANS is 2 minutes per side/edge. Learned that the hard way after liquid kept coming out thinking I was done.
