Oh yeah I can understand not trading in those phones, but I have the V20 and they can gladly have it for $425 off since I was going to sell it anyway and could only get about $200 for it.

From the very vague description of the deal, you probably could! I assumed they will give you more or less money depending on the value of your trade in. If it was just a straight $425 off then why do they said "UP TO $425 off"???

I found out you can upgrade from a Note I to a Note II for $299 with AT&T and then submit the old Note I to Samsung for a upgrade rebate of up to $200. So essentially you upgrade from a Note I to a Note II for $99.
Of course with a two year leash.

How are you able to upgrade early from Note 1 to Note 2 for $299? I got my Note in February and they said I'd have to pay full no commitment pricing.

I remember when the original note came out, people were saying that AT&T was allowing them to preorder it and renew their contract at the lower price even if they just did it a month previously. Doesn't look like we can do it this time around. It was either a bug in their system or they were trying to boost the note's popularity.
Early upgrades are allowed 6 months into your current contract for an additional $250. Unfortunately, every store in my area won't allow the early upgrade unless its for an iPhone.

Note 2 by far. I've owned note and the s3, but not Iphone but I could not do a 4 inch screen. Also depends were to get it I paid 550 new on Craig locally locally, it was sold by a local phone shop though. From Verizon it week be 699

I've had my Note 2 since Dec and even though it's been great I really hate the design of the phone. I'm wondering how much the values of the devices will differ at the time of the HTC One's release on T-Mobile USA and if I can do a trade with someone without adding any extra $$$ because they are comparable phones. Well I was mostly asking in terms of values for both devices. I definitely would like an HTC One over my Note 2, no doubt about that. I was just wondering what the value of the Note 2 compared to the One would be. I can't find any sort of indication of whether or not I could do a direct trade with someone without me adding any cash.

Or instead of trying to find someone to trade you an HTC One for a Note 2 you could sell your Note 2 and use that money to buy an HTC One? :victory:
I would just buy the One and compare the 2 phones side by side and decide which one to keep.

and I freakin love this mega 6.3! Was waiting and looking forward to the Note 3, but when I was at ATT testing the Note, I found myself drawn to the Mega. $98 at Walmart, I couldn't pass it up. I really liked the S4, but anything smaller than the Note 1 wasn't an option.
I see some fellow Note 1 converts on here so I'm sure we'll get some dev support in due time. I'm happy with the phone out of the box really!
First thing is to go into apps and disable all the crap apps. I also run Apex Launcher.
I came from the note 1 and the mega was an awesome upgrade.

I'm another convert from the Note 1. So far I'm very happy with the Mega, and I got it new for only just over half the price of the smaller Note 3
It fits in my hand and in my pockets, the 720p screen is easily sharp enough for me, I very rarely used the stylus and it has all the power I need. Why would I want anything smaller?

I thought I would start this thread to give Note 7 users living in the middle east (like myself currently residing in Riyadh, KSA) the opportunity to exchange information, share findings, experiences, news and latest developments on the Note 7 availability ETAs, prices, sales points, offers, problems, ban news, ROM updates.... etc and any good info to share.
Here in KSA ministry of commerce issued a recall forcing all distributers to a full refund to around 6200 units and advised all users to respond to the recall campaign with a deadline of 26th of September.
On the other hand no fixed date has been promised to relaunch the modified Note 7 in the markets, only responce from Samsung KSA is October.
Looking forward to hearing your POVs and your comments.

Egypt's current situation about Note 7
Here in Egypt, Sammy told me that my Note 7 ( Which I bought from Qatar ) is going to be replaced/exchanged with the new one as soon as possible. They asked me if I want to swap it with S7 Edge and take a voucher with the price difference or swap it with Note 4 until the new one (fixed one) released. I recommended Note 4 option but I'm waiting for them to call me to pick it up. Btw it is currently (since 1-9) in bootloop problem and overheating so I'm not using it anymore.
I know that I should hate Samsung for this but I like my Note 7 actually.
My model is SM-N930FD (Dual Sim).

Here in Beirut, Lebanon the official release date was on the 2nd of September. The recall was announced on the 1st of Sept. Thus the release was postponed. And I couldn't receive my Note 7 back then
Samsung contacted me and asked me whether I want a full refund, get an S7 Edge instead, or wait for the N7 and receive more gifts with the package. The initial package was a Note 7 + Gear Fit 2 + Media Subscription. The new package is all the mentioned in addition to a Free Wireless Charging Stand + 1.2 m cable + official S-View Standing Cover + an extra USB connector. Of course I have decided to get this additional package and keep my pre-order. The problem is that there is no specific dates for the new release. All what they mention is that it should be available in mid/end of October and days are passing very slowly.. until then...!
I have used the N7 for 10 days and it was flawless in all measures and dragged myself to the store to the handover, I cannot find a good substitute to the N7 and thus looking forward to repurchase it.

That's why I want a new Note 7 .. I'll never accept anything else.
By the way, today Samsung Egypt announced the recall on their official website (delayed as usual).
Samsung has already began exchanging the defected phones in the US.. And their response in the Middle East for releasing the phone again is in October. I am afraid that we receive now refurbished phones so that they profit as much as possible since they lost billions of dollars. I hope this won't be the case and that we receive brand new phones!

Did they set a date for the relaunch in Egypt.
They didn't specify one. He told me it'll arrive here in 15 October and he wasn't sure about it.

I contacted samsung and they told me that the replacement Note7 will arrive in the 3 first weeks of October and i couldn't receive the note 4 as i is available in only 3 stores and all of them are far away from where i live ,do you have any other updates regarding this matter .
