You should update your firmware to Oreo base, so you can't flash this Rom via TWRP if you don't convert your device to Asia TW and flash 2.31.709.1 firmware, you know that it's not possible to convert it to any variant in case of S-ON.

With s-on you can only flash original signed firmware, such as the firmware.zip extracted from the OTA package.
After flashing signed firmware you will need to reflash the custom recovery and rom zip to restore the kernel.

pre rooted deodexed base BOC6

Just releasing a pre rooted deodexed BOC6 base for the N910G. It has busybox and init.d support plus secure storage set to false.
You will need the modem and probably the bootloader from the boc6 base, I'll probably upload them later. Anyone is welcome to use it as a base, just dropping it as there isn't one yet

never flash BL with TWRP always prefer Odin flash, Flashing BL via TWRP can hardbrick your device.
May I request somebody to upload the odin flashable bootloader... I have no idea how to flash aboot.mbn provided in oyher thread.
Thanks in advance.
Hey guys!
OK, I've been waiting for this.
So if I grab the India firmware, flash with Odin, flash this all good?
I have the Australian G version.
Technically, if I flash the India firmware, I should be able to use the F custom roms with the other custom kernels?
All we needed was the bootloader right? World's our oyster Yeah? Haha.
Thanks guys.
Can I use with my 910F? Thanks.

If you want just a stock prerooted boc3 base for the n910f I can upload one but there are plenty of custom roms out there for the n910f. I just dropped this base for other devs to use as there wasn't a lollipop zips for the n910g. I think Dr ketan has released one now

Not sure exactly what Sammy have done but on lollipop if the modem and base don't match the rom won't boot. This means for the time being you cant flash lollipop n910f roms on the n910g and vice versa. Hopefully someone will fix it soon

I didn't intend supporting the rom as I don't have the device it's just a base for other devs to use. If no one makes a custom rom for you guys I'll add a few mods to it

I just flashed the sammobile stock firmware and rooted but I can't get 3minit to work. I see you have to decompile etc. Anyway to zip align and deox stock rom semi easily? Haha.

COH3 Modem & sBoot combo Link G920I (5.1.1)

OF8 Bootloader G920I (5.1.1)
ROMS
XtreStoLite 2.0 (5.1.1) install guide here: (link to the OP guide) Flash the modems I uploaded here as they are the latest, and are 100% compatible with the ROM the OP not updated the thread with the latest yet.
G920IDVU2COF8 India 5.1.1 100% STOCK ROM If you flash via odin, it will be unrooted, and have 5.1.1 Bootloader + modem, and make all previous 5.0.2 Roms unbootable. Do not flash unless this is your intent. If somebody can mirror from Sammobile it would be greatly appreciated. My upload is too slow and unstable on ADSL2.

5.1.1 Bootloader: Does NOT boot XtreStoLite 1.5 or any other 5.0.2 ROM. Boots XtreStoLite 2.0 with full functionality.
IF YOU FLASH 5.1.1 BOOTLOADER YOU CANNOT EVER FLASH ANY 5.0.2 ROM AGAIN OR GO BACK TO OLD BOOTLOADER.If you want to "test" the new ROM, flash it without the fingerprint function first before updating bootloader.

True, I am going to add the bootloader shortly. Then you should be able to use the fingerprint feature without an issue.

At first when it was released it didn't. Then a few people discovered removing the fingerprint functionality allowed it to boot on G920I on old bootloader. Just this week the official bootloader/modem was released for the G920I making it fully compatible.
I have the 920I, and I want to install XtreStoLite Odex Pure Edition 2.0, I'm on Indian 5.1.1. How should I do it? First, install UniKernel (Flashing the tar file on AP/PDA), then flashing the TWRP, and then flashing the rom in recovery? When should I install the modem and bootloader if I already flashed the 5.1.1 full fw? Will the rom fully work on 920I? Thanks in advance
To flash modem and bootloader only need folllw edgarf28 guide? I already in 5.1.1 with old bootloader
Would these work on 920F?

The modem is. Bin format u can flash it without the cm file. Yes u need to update to the latest version of twrp to run 5.1.1. Before flashing the bootloader.

Hello. I have a G920F with the poor signal issue. Im wondering if it will be ok to flash this new modem as it uses the same basebands as the ones I use on my G920F. 4G 1800/2300, 3G 2100, 2G 900/1800. I cant see any problems but thought I would just check.
Can I flash latest 0f8 modem on the old boot loader?
Sent from my SM-G920I using XDA Premium HD app
Repacked in .tar.md5 format (thanks @solrazr)
bootloader.tar.md5 http://d-h.st/xkNu
modem.tar.md5 http://d-h.st/EwqK
My installation method:
1. flash rom (I use XtreStoLite Odex Pure Edition 2.0 with keep app and data settings i.e. no data wiping)
2. flash rom addon (if any)
3. flash custom kernel (if any)
3. reboot to bootloader/download mode
4. flash bootloader and modem
5. reboot
So I'm on 5.0.2 at the moment. No matter what bootloader & modem I flash nothing seems to flash successfully. If I flash 5.1.1 ROM first, will that allow me to flash via Odin?
Gosh I'm having all sorts of annoying issues with Odin not working at the moment! Thanks.
Hello i have 920I with android 5.0.2 rooted with pingpong root and knox not tripped.
Im thinking to update to 5.1.1 using smartswitch, and then rooting the stock rom.
Is there a procedure on how to do this as i have been confused because each thread gives a different method.
Also would i need to flash bootloaders modems etc... after the update.
Thank you

Questions and answers:
Q: Should i install latest bootloader/modem? Why?
A: Yes, bootloader and modem usually can contain security patches, hotfixes, modem improvements and even more, so it should bring general improvement
Q: What to do if odin refuses to flash the files?
A: Check if you downloaded proper package for your phone variant, check if downloaded files have tar.md5 extension, check if the phone is detected by Odin, check if you have the specific Odin package from the Mega folder, it has support for new lz4 format included by Samsung.
Q: New bootloader and modem caused me x issue(s), how can i fix it?
A: You can always flash older/newer bootloader and modem and see if the issue is fixed.
Q: My phone doesn't recognise the sim inserted, i have no baseband in settings and no imei, what to do?
A: Make sure the bootloader/modem installed is the proper one according to android version of firmware installed on the phone. (Nougat bl and cp for nougat roms / Oreo bl and cp for Oreo roms)

As i said in Q/A, you should update them, this can only bring general improvement, usually they contain hotfixes, security patches, nothing that can harm your device.

You need oreo files and sadly, samsung didn't released yet that for Canada users. I will try today some things, maybe i can make the rom work with nougat files. Regards

Can you make files with Android 6.0.1 bootloaders and modems for A520F for TWRP to be able to return from OREO 8.0 to Marshmallow 6.0.1. if it possible?
Added new/updated bootloaders and modems:
A520F - BL_A520FXXU4CREF - this can be flashed with any oreo modem, latest release is CP_A520FXXU4CRE6
A720S - BL_A720SKSU2BRE1 and CP_A720NKOU2BRE1
Downloads:
MEGA

You can't use oreo modem and bootloader on nougat. Flash them only if you'll update to any oreo rom.

firstly i have to say nice job and many thanks:good:
i have a question too.
i am in Oreo and i have a major battery drain from cell stand by.
so i m thinking to downgrade modem and use Nougat one(and stay in Oreo).
do you think is possible?
do i have to flash both bootloader and modem or just modem or it s impossible?

You won't have imei/baseband/cell connection in oreo with nougat bootloader/modem.
Cell standby drain is there in more devices, just search on google "oreo cell standby drain" and you'll see that even op has that. It's not related to modem/bootloader as i ported oreo to J5 2017 which still has nougat modem and bootloader, cell standby drain is there too. So it must be build related, reports are all over, people wrote to samsung, hopefully they'll patch that in the future, for us only left to test every oreo fw release to see if that fixes.
Personal advice, use more wifi, data will disconnect and won't drain while on wifi.

@corsicanu bro, maybe I didn't flash this before that's why I'm having some problems in my cellular data. Need to test this first. I forgot to check my previous bootloader and modem before. But it came from the stock rom of oreo (Samsung A720F) I'll give you updates. Asap.

Still the same as stock BL & CP. Cellular data suddenly turns off. Any way to fix this? BTW, flashed this via TWRP. The flashable zip.
