OpenGL ES 3.1 and Vulkan support - Huawei Mate 10 Questions & Answers

Interested in purchasing Mate 10 Pro also for AR development using Unreal Engine 4, that needs these two APIs.
From Mali G72 MP12 specs appear they are supported, but anyone know if Huawei does releases the correct drivers with Oreo?

P20 lite AI

Does P20 lite have Machine learning system?
Nope, it lacksMAchine learning, Maybe the culprit is a processor, our processor does not support it. Maybe it can be added via SW update but again my knowledge is limited some expert can comment and correct me.
On Huawei AI is supported by the hardware - NPU.

Is this real???!! ?

Hello everyone...
I saw an article on google feed it says that:-
'' The Huawei*Mate 10*series will be the first to receive the GPU Turbo update. Huawei’s GPU Turbo increases the processing power of the GPU by up to 60% while reducing power consumption by 30%.
Since most of*Huawei’s devices use in-house chipsets, they have found a way to push the feature to its other phones via a software update. The update will arrive on the Mate 10 by the end of this month.''
'' Huawei also announced some new features coming to the Mate 10. First, the Mate 10 series will support cloud computing starting June 26. It will then receive the EMUI 8.1 update in mid-July which will bring 960fps slow-motion recording.''

I saw that too but im checking firmware finder and there is no any firmware that included those yet. I hope we get it as soon as possible
I believe its true as seen it in more than one place

Well for slowmo i dont really care. Il probably use it once and forget about it. As for gpu boost, they were looking for testers for mate 10 pro on chineese forum the other day. Im fine with the phone the way it is, but its always nice to be surprised like this.
I would like to have fixed current issues and hope it will with 8.1 (Stereo inverted bug on record / Rotation of home screen / Video Quality from camera)
They want to concentrate on fixing all the things that are broken or currently missing from our mate 10 and also meet there current missed promises about updates rather than promise more
So looks like we will get the GPU Booster, additional AI Camera scenes, Nightime steady shot, we just got face unlock, all we need now is the new portrait lighting mode and the AR avatars from P20 Pro and we should be on par with the P20 Pro.
Meh.

MediaTek or Snapdragon?

As we are in the 21st century, there is no limitation of technology and one of the most famous examples of emerging technology is our smartphone. Day by day they are getting more and more ripped as well as more powerful. When we talk about the performance of the smartphone, everyone knows that on which factor the performance depends, the hardware offered by the brand and the optimization done by the developers/engineers. And one of the best examples of correct optimization and hardware is the iPhone, but as more than 70% market share is for Android so in this article we will be focusing on Android only. When we think about the processors powering Android devices, the two most popular names which come to our minds are Qualcomm and MediaTek. So in this post, we are comparing the two processor makers MediaTek VS Snapdragon by 2018-2019.

I personally prefer SD then MTK.
MTK device is not really good for development. For example, Redmi Note 4 mtk is die in MM, they have Nougat (unofficial), but a lot of serious bug can't be fixed. Meanwhile the Redmi Note 4 SD still alive and going to Android Q with GSI and Treble.
And I don't see any Flagship using MTK, and I think SD is better for performance so
SD = Performance
MTK = Lower Price

Emulation Broken after Android 12 update

DEVICE: S21 (Exynos 2100)
So after updating to android 12(one ui 4.0) the emulators(Dolphin , AetherSX2 etc.)that use OpenGL are broken, all kinds of graphical glitches are prelavent and the system ui hangs and crashes, Its already 3 updates but Samsung hasn't fixed this, ive posted this on Samsung Members, sent a mail to them, still no reply. Already the driver support for the Mali GPU is sparse, now if the manufacturer itself isn't interested in making them for a flagship, its kinda saddening. Also if i remember they released something called galaxy game drivers for the s20 and n20 which really provided a much needed boost, hopefully they do the same for the s21 lineup too.....
Same issue bro. Ever since android 12. The games have not been emulating. Opengl used to work best for me but now its all crappy

Yea, Vulkan is not even supported for Mali GPU, while adreno supports and runs both very well... I really hope Samsung resolves this ASAP
Also confirming that I can't get any virtual environments to work after updating to Android 12.

Environments tested:
Vmos
Vmos Pro
GSpace
F1 VM
VirtualXposed
ParallelSpace
Anyone hear of any news on this yet? Any workarounds?

None yet, but Vulkan has been fixed for AetherSX2, tested it, it runs decently and is playable but it's not as smooth as OpenGL and it's not running at fullspeed

Hello Friend, It is was possible? because I've the same need
.

General Port-Windows-11-Xiaomi-Pad-5-Pro-12.4 and Support for Xiaomi-Pad-6-Pro

The performance improvements on (SD870 SoC) is up 20% and it is about as fast as Surface Pro X (SQ1 SoC) that cost significantly more at a price of $999.
Now they are people asking for a lower price that cost $500 less can buy Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4(SD870 SoC) or Xiaomi Pad 6(SD870 SoC) if it can offer same Windows 11 support from the older model of Xiaomi Pad 5.

there isn't even an edk2 uefi image for this device yet
so no matter what most stuff like ufs, wifi, bluetooth, touchscreen, usb and more that requires drivers will not work (yet)
if someone ports it I will be the first one to try it but for now it won't work
