Google Pixel WiFi Chip [ 0760RA G915A6 ] Needed Help. - Google Pixel Accessories

Dear Respected Members,
I am in a huge problem so I got myself Google Pixel 128GB Phone. After the use of 1 Month the WiFi Dropped. I wonder what happened. The Bluetooth was working fine. The wifi toggle went off completely. Try to slide it to the ON position it slides back to the OFF. Obviously, the phone was out of warranty and I got very much concerned. So ultimately I went to my trusted Phone Repair guy who has professionally opened the phone carefully and applied the heat to the wifi chip so that re-balling happens. Once it was done the WiFi worked but only for 10 - 20 minutes. After so many tries and with no success it was mutually decided to lift the chip and this was happening because the resistor next to the chip was shorting to the ground. It was mutual understanding the WiFi Chip is short. Once the chip was lifted the short was resolved automatically.
THE PROBLEM :
I was unable to find the replacement Chip for the WiFi and now the phone is without Bluetooth and WiFi. I have tried to check AliExpress and even US / UK based websites but couldn't find any solution. If any respected member can help me or sell the chip or find the chip I shall be very thankful. I need guidance in this regard. This is the first phone I am so much messed up in finding the replacement CHIP.

Much Appreciated your help.

did you find this chip?

No still haven't found it. It's been 2 months now.

Maybe try getting a water damaged or physically damaged one off ebay and try a chip swap, might be hard to do a reball with it though since there clearly aren't going to be stencils and the smd components on the bottom side seem to be right in the line of heat fire. Would love to see progress if you move forward

Same Issue with My Pixel.
Both WiFi and Bluetooth is not turning on. Any solutions?

Buy a used pixel with a cracked screen and use screen from your phone and the rest from the other phone.

Wifi marking
Someone can indicate the marking of the chip is not the one that is on top, but the one inside?

The problem with wifi was solved by replacing the chip with a non-working motherboard. The chip itself consists of two chips, you can not buy separately. The Chinese write that they can make from 100 pieces. Now google pixel xl is under repair with the same problem, I'll sort it out what's wrong with it.

[Q] GT P7100 (aka 10.1V) Screen issue

Hell-o all..
Sometime ago my 10.1v (P3 or GT-P7100) started making some weird screen vibrations. Something that looked like fuzziness, distortion, something difficult to explain but it happened when using it a lot.

Suddenly it started making the thing more often. I tried different ROM's and kernels but the fuzziness get to an "impossible to read" level.
One day I noticed that it was showing the screen noise also while booting
And so I decided to take the device to samsung for assistance. 3 weeks later they told me that there was a problem with the board and there was nothing they can do about it. So, I got home and dismantled it to find what it seems to me to be the issue:
this is a the magnified section of the wires that connect the board to the lcd screen
I tried to find the same wire on the internet but I failed, so I decided to share my experience so maybe someone got a better idea or know where to find this replacement.
Thanks in advance and any idea is welcome
So sad to hear that they sended your tablet back telling you that they cannot do anything about it, once again, great support samsung... I hope you can fix it :/

very disappointing indeed.. also because this is not my first time having issues with samsung support. (a bit off topic), last year I sent my galaxy nexus for servicing because, being stock, it entered a bootloop it never recovered. As it was on warranty i sent it directly to samsung service, 2 months later it was back with a "firmware update", i tried to turn it on and again bootloop. I refused to take it with me and asked for a replacement. They told me that in order to have it replaced, the device have to be returned for support 3 TIMES for THE SAME REASON.. THEN and only THEN they would give me a replacement.. Well, that second time they LOST my device, so the store gave me gift card with the amount i payed when i bought it and obviously I bought another brand this time..
thanks for the wishes

Dude... Seriously... Samsung never had a great support according to other brands. i bought a nokia lumia 900 a month ago and after 3 weeks my 3G didn't launch anymore (something software related, but just saying..) so i went back to the local nokia store and they reflashed windows 7.8 in the store with everything working and some free microsoft apps for apologize, had my phone back like 15 minutes later, now that's what i call support..
Someone that has opened a P7510 (the 10.1 without the V) and remember or have pictures of the tablet dismantled can please tell me if this wire is the same?

[Q] Missing part | whats it called?

Hey everyone
Just got a second hand i9100. Everything working except i have a part missing in the main board.
It seems to be some kind of black metal protector for the main board
My board looks like this:

And a normal board (from a YouTube disassemble video) looks like this:
I have both pictures in good quality but i can't post them....I'm a new member
Please help me, copy paste the links and you would see what I'm talking about
Can someone help me with the missing part? I can't find if in eBay cause i don't really now what to search for....
Search my posts from the past couple of weeks, I've attached the service manuals in a zip file to one of them, might help you identify the part (Has a full parts list down to the last tiny screw).
hey
Hey,
Found it. Very nice one! But, the metal mainboard protectors are not detailed there.
Searched the whole 6 PDFs but didn't find their name
I guess somehow a cheap local phone lab took it out deliberately because it an expensive parts (all 3 protectors gone (
What to do next?
Thanks!
You actually searched & found it ?! Well done (Most people would whine & say 'Give it to me now') Gold star for you
Not much of a hardware expert personally, I tend to leave that stuff to the experts. Perhaps KeithRoss or TheUnderling might read your thread soon & be able to help.

Hi Dude, and welcome to XDA.I disassembled my phone yesterday(unmounted mainboard and everything, till the last screw, not for the first time)and I have to say that I don't have these protectors, and I've never seen them.So I don't know, but I think this makes nothing. My phone never had these protectors, but it worked fine everytime. No problems at all
Just read this thread and I can't see the photos......
I have disassembled an S2 recently and replaced parts, so if there's someway you can put the images into (for example) dropbox and provide the link, I can dl and take a look....

Ok....had a look at some pictures of motherboards on google and some video teardowns........
I am assuming those black plates are some sort of RF (radio frequency) shielding. I don't think they perform any critical electrical function. I did some part searches too.....without success.
My advice would be to re assemble the phone and use it as normal. If you notice any interference or static or any other "unusual" behaviour during use, then you will need to maybe contact Samsung to get those parts.....otherwise I wouldn't worry about it......
Edit.....I assume the picture below is what you're describing....

Hey
Yes you all right, I think that the exact description is RF shields… So it means the phone can destroyed perhaps a magnetic rail like on a credit card and so?
Besides that i hope i wouldn't be harmful to the phone overtime..
Also yes these parts are unobtainable, maybe you need to buy the whole motherboard to get those RF shields back....
It won't harm the phone if you put a credit card next to it as the card is "passive". You might have an issue if the phone is placed next to the credit card reader....or if the phone gets anywhere near something that uses NFC (near field communication) technology. But otherwise it *should* be ok.....

Where do you live mate..?
Are you sure its that expensive cos Ive changed a few S3,S2,Note2 and iphone screens with new ones that I buy on ebay and I can get them brand new for the S3 for around $145.You just need to look around mate. They are not second hand or generic ones either but good S3 screens and Ive never paid more than $160 for an S3 screen depending on whats available at the time.
If u connect it to the computer
And use moborobo to install vncserver
And start vnc server
And know the android IP using advance IP scanner
And connect using any vnc
So you can use it and enable what ever you want like Maas storage
..
U know what I mean?
That is for recovery

Yeah it varies, in australia to buy it from china is $250, realing being is you cannot remove the oled display from the digitizer (almost impossible)
So you have to buy both! Your literally buying half of the phone again! Still cheaper the n a shop!

lol i using my work phone for the time being.
back on my htc one as my personal.
so i filed a claim through assurant. ehh. not looking good. they dont have the lg g2 in the system. the rep was trying to give me the lg g2x. lol. i explained to him the lg g2 is a new phone that just was released. he said it wasnt showing up in the system. i was like its probably cuz the phone doesnt official, release until this wednesday.
i checked my claim today online to see whats up. (had to fax in a document also). they revived the document. so that was good. but the device being claimed was the lg g2x. i was like wtf. called them asap. talk to a rep. explained th phone situation. she made sure that they had to call me before processing the claim to make sure i get the phone that i am supposed to get. she said to call back in 3 days.
dont like this process. why offer insurance if they dont have anything. gonna talk to tmobile in a few days
2 weeks later with the insurance (huge headache i might add), i finally got a replacement yesterday. looked brand new in box. except the stickers were cut, so dunno.

Question is ;
There really was no reason to make this thread. If the stickers were cut get another replacement and cut them yourself or it it works leave it? Simple as right? Wow your phone smashed, like many other people... The G2 has so many useless threads its UNREAL

I guess dead eMMC. If you can find a reflow station, just buy a new eMMC and replace it. Repartition and then you're done.

Hi thanks for the answer.
So it's not the display but the missing of an OS due to the broken eMMC? mhm interesting.
But isn't the eMMC soldered to the MoBo? How difficult is it replace it?

Of course it is slodered to the MB, but if you have a reflow gun, some spare balls and an eMMC laying around, it takes about an hour or so. If not, see your local repair shop. It may as well be a bad connection, so best get it reflowed.

Okay, as I thought. I'm not as comfy with soldering stuff myself. I did not get into it and I don't plan on doing so on a friends device.
I will propably take it to a store then. How much would you pay for a job like that? The most shops in germany are overpriced as ****, so would be nice to have a reference.

How much would I pay? Well, the eMMC is about 24 euro on Ebay, and I'd say probably 30-40 euro for the labor. It's very complicated and the risk of doing something wrong is higher than average. Plus the software on it, your guess is as good as mine. The total should be right about 70-85 euro. That's how much I'd charge for the swap if i ran a shop with the tools.
