Proper Issue Reporting
Make sure you are seeing the issue on a CLEAN install! If the problem pops up after a dirty flash, wipe data/factory reset and see if it still happens before reporting it
Make sure you have not flashed anything extra, such as 3rd party kernels, SuperSU, Magisk, Xposed, etc. These extra packages can cause their own issues. As above, try a full wipe and then only flash the ROM package and Gapps package, and see if the issue persists before reporting
In your report please include the following:
Issue you are seeing, and how to recreate it
Logcat/kmesg from right after the issue if possible
Build date of ROM you are running
Gapps package you have installed

As far as an update schedule goes, I will TRY to do weekly builds with the latest commits. I will also TRY to pull in pending commits when possible, assuming I can get them to build.

this is pretty good news I will try to get this installed this weekend thanks for keeping this phone alive

I also installed this ROM and will do some testing. So far what I have tried, voice, data, GPS have worked as expected. It also connects with my Asus smart watch. I will continue to test things out and provide feedback as appropriate. BTW BT phone audio is not working as noted on OP. If that is corrected this would be my daily driver. Thanks to the dev for the work on this Note 3 ROM!

I've tried two BT headsets the 6xxPlantronics and Motorola H19txt. They both work fine on Nougat ROM including AOKP and they also work with LineageOS 15.1 on the Note 4. I have also paired it with my car's BT Hands Free system with the same results. In all cases BT is seen and used for phone audio however, there is initially some white noise followed (after about 5 seconds) with silence.

Alright,I'll do some testing this weekend. I have a Plantronics Legend headset. It works perfect with AOKP Oreo on my LG g3. I'll test on my wife's Note 3 this weekend and see what I get.

Decided to make the jump!
Hooray for O.R.E.O.!
I was able to do an easy upgrade and so far its running along but had a few observations...
1. Do we not have to "allow instillation from unknown sources" under 'security' anymore?
2. GPS, DATA, CELL all working well. Will test bluetooth with my fitbit and speakers later today.
3. I am using Nova Launcher. I would like to put in a calendar widget, but it says "problems loading widget" no matter what widget I use. Google Calendar, Calendar Widget, and Chronos all not working. Chronos says it does not have OREO support anymore. Can anyone recommend a nice transparent calendar widget?
4. Hotspot Works... YAY!!
5. When trying to select my quick setting tiles, I can of course edit what I want to have appear. However, when I select to edit additional choices, the additional options are white on a white background so kinda hard to see.
I will be happy to provide logcats anyone is interested. But be advised. I am still unable to update my baseband from NC5 to PL1. But I dont think that has anything to do with the minor errors I am getting.
My thanks to all! And I will be happy to help further test this ROM if there is anything I can do, just ask!

1. Installation from unknown sources is now handled like Nougat/Oreo permissions: on an app-by-app basis as each app tries to install an app from unknown sources. You will be prompted to give permission for it. For example, my Amazon app had an update yesterday, and when I hit install it prompted me to give Amazon permission to install from unknown sources.
2. Awesome to hear. Let me know how bt goes.
3. That must be a Nova issue. I run Apex, and I was able to add a calendar widget (from Google Calendar), with no issue. To be fair, I am also using an LG G3 right now, though I can't imagine that would make a difference, since I built the hlte and d855 builds back to back.
4. Good to hear. I haven't tested hotspot.
5. We are still ironing out some issues!

So... more good news! Paired with my Fitbit just fine, also paired with my stereo and speaker

I also tried the Trebouchet launcher that came with the ROM and it was acting weird too. Seems to be that the Analogue clock will post but not the digital one. Also size changes seem to prevent the digital clock from working
The voice input doesn't seem to be working as part of the keyboard. It does work for Google Assistant though...

Not at all. I need someone to find all these little bugs, lol. I haven't tried voice input, I don't have much use for it, tbh. I'll do some digging this weekend, and see what I find in testing.

Dig away! So I decided to load the Nugat ROM on my phone and I see that the Clock/Calendar applications work fine with Nova Launcher. As to the voice issue I think it is my fault. I need to "enable voice typing" on the system. I did so with Nougat and it works just fine.
I would love to play a deeper role with compiling and code writing but I am still way too much of a noob but happy to do my part. I am a fairly heavy "power user" of almost all the systems so I give this GREAT phone a good workout.
I even use the infra red. Peel remote seems to be working......
Dave

Alright guys, I have been doing some digging into @trader418 and I can't find anything in particular that helps the rotation bug. In his unofficial Lineage 14 thread, he mentions some cm/los updates that fixed the rotation issues, but doesn't mention the exact commit. Also, it sounds like those changes should already be in these builds, since AOKP's hlte device trees, and kernel source, are forked from LineageOS trees. And I do make sure to pull in the latest LOS changes. So I am still stumped on the rotation bug. On to better news. I have just finished a new build, with the latest AOKP changes synced in. I also pulled in some open commits that add customizable header image support. Along with a few open commits from LOS, mostly to do with phone call audio, so hopefully that may help with BT issues. I am going to do some personal testing before I upload, so be patient, new goodies are on their way!

New Release!
Alright guys, I have a new build up at the download link in the OP. For this build, I pulled in some LOS changes that deal with phone call audio routing, which could help with bt phone audio issues, and I also enabled an overlay that may help with the rotation bug. The overlay was discovered by @stonedead so a HUGE thanks to him! I may have never discovered the overlay on my own. I also have included pending AOKP commits to add customizable header images. This build also includes all of the latest AOKP commits that have been merged, including fixes and some tweaked features. As always, I upload a changelog with all of the commits pulled in since the last build, so detailed information on the changes between the 4/23 build and todays build can be found there.
I HAVE NOT had a chance to personally test this build! As I have mentioned before, my only test phone is my wife's daily driver, and if she is busy using it, not much of a chance for me to test lol. With that being said, there shouldn't be any major bugs introduced in this build.
Changelog:
Changes to phone call audio routing, may help BT phone audio issues
New overlay that may help with auto-rotation bug
Customizable header images
Full changelog available at download link

Thank you for your ongoing efforts but unfortunately the BT phone audio on my n900p has not changed. The BT headphone is seen by the system and pairs just fine. In phone app the BT headphone is also seen. However, when making a call the earpiece only produces white noise slowly decreasing in volume to silence. The person on the other end of the connection hears nothing...

[SOLVED] Control Backlighting.
I seem to recall someone having problems with their backlights on the menu and 'back' button. I had it too until i went to SETTINGS> BUTTONS>HARDWARE KEYS...
Just toggle them off and back on then the buttons should respond to your desired preference...
As a side note... I wrote earler about using Clock and Calendar displays in NOVA launcher and they just don't seem to work... but they work fine in Apex Launcher which is free and very similar to NOVA..
Keep up the GREAT ROM! Thank you for the snack jump from KitKat to Oreo!

New Release!
Hey guys, new builds are up. Nothing major with these builds, some minor changes to QS Header image support, and scrollable QS Tiles. The big news with this release is
Wait for it...
Wait some more...
Builds for hltechn/hltekor/hltetmo!!!
I have NOT tested these builds! I don't have access to anything other than hlte, so PLEASE test these builds if you have the device! And let me know what you find!
The info and download links for the new builds can be found on my main thread

I will give the new build a try tonight!
Unfortunately I had the hotspot function working, and then it stopped. I will get the nerve to Odin the PL1 update and then see if that fixes the problem...
Can we just dirty flash the new builds? Do we need to re flash GAPPS as well? I tired doing that and it would crash out so I had just dirty flashed the new build without GAPPS and without wipe of cache which seems to work better for me..
Thank you for keeping this build alive!!

Dirty flashing is ok. The only caveat with dirty flashing is, if you run into issues, wipe and clean flash to see if that fixes the issue BEFORE reporting the problem.
As far as GApps, you don't need to reflash GApps on a dirty flash. In theory, reflashing GApps shouldn't hurt, since it should remove existing GApps before installing. However, if you have updated any of the GApps through the playstore, and you flash and older GApps build, you will downgrade the app in question, which may cause issues.
I hope that makes things clear as mud!
TL;DR:
Dirty flashing is ok, as long as you clean flash BEFORE reporting issues.
On a dirty flash, no need to flash GApps again.

Known Issues:
SDCard/Fuse Daemon issues (aka "Music Playback Bug"). On extended music play it can suddenly happen that the playback stops.
Camcorder - Zoom on 1080p mode is buggy see below for "workaround"
Notes:
If you are running on ART, and you're having issues with an app... check this list to see whether app is known to have issues with ART.
Zoom on 1080p mode "sometimes" works... if you set camcorder to 1080p, switch to camera, change res so zoom starts working again, and then switch back to camcorder... zoom will work on 1080p :silly: However, if you turn the screen off, or close and re-open the camera, the zoom will be broken again Also, once it stops working on camcorder, it'll probably stop working on camera as well until you change the resolution/picture size
4.4 mini-FAQ
Q) My recovery won't flash the 4.4 zip... aka "Status 7 error"... what do I do?
A) Get the i9100_SlimKat_4.4.2_compat_recovery zip from this post... flash it... reboot to recovery... be amazed by new TWRP recovery... then:
Wipe - Advanced - Select cache, dalvik, system (and Data if you want FULL wipe)
Install Slim ROM + Slim Gapps
Reboot
Profit!
Q) Root doesn't work!
A) From a clean build you need to enable root access for Superuser itself. This is different from some earlier versions of android (4.2 and below) in which Superuser by default had root access on a new install. To do this, go to Settings -> Developer options -> Root access. If an app attempts to request root access before Superuser itself has access, it may cause problems with that app in the future where root requests are silently denied.
Q) Developer Options? What Developer Options? I don't see that in Settings??!?
A) By default, this is conveniently hidden from view... as it does contain settings and options that can (and will) break stuff if you don't know what you're doing. If you require access to this, Settings -> About Phone... Then tap on the Build Number 7 times.
Q) How to change DPI?
A) Currently, this feature hasn't been ported... so either change ro.sf.lcd_density to the desired value in /system/build.prop, or you'll need to install Texdroider DPI from the playstore.
Q) I upgraded and lost my sim unlock, none of the unlock tools are working?
A) Unfortunately, I have nothing but Bad News™ for you Seems Samsung locked everything down and Google played along... Get a "proper" (aka carrier) unlock... or use older versions of Android... There is nothing we can do
Q) Music just randomly stops playing... and then won't work properly until reboot and/or drains battery?
A) Unfortunately, there isn't a whole lot we can do. Due to new SDCard handling and issues with FUSE, there is a strange quirk with Exynos4 devices like i9100 and n7000 where the system freaks out and dies... users have had various levels of success trying some of the following workarounds: 1. format sdcards with ExFAT (apparently can cause issues with backups and/or GPS apps??)... 2. Put all your music on internal SD...

Built from Slim Source, no changes whatsoever.
I, Cyril, am not a developer or maintainer of any sort
These are UNOFFICIAL builds, this device is no longer supported by the Slim-team.
The goal is to provide yet another Android 4.4 option for the SGH-i777.
I plan to build as time permits; no sooner than weeklies, and I'll be sure to capture stable releases.
Massive thanks to the @SteveMurphy, @RenderBroken, @razen_kain, @creepyncrawly, @4-2ndtwin, @nimper (and all of the i777 community) for the continued encouragement and support.
Speaking of community support, if the builds develop issues I will need your help finding and ironing out solutions. The biggest tip will be to see whether it's affecting the i9100 or n7000, and what they're doing about it.
If the builds start crashing, well that may be the end of SlimKat on the i777.
Happy Flashing
-Cyril

Yes, a very proud day!!!
Awesome! A new ROM to add to my collection. Thanks Cyril :thumbup:
Sent out from my RR Kit Kat Phone
Thanks for doing this. I will have to try it out in a few days. I just installed SOKP. Gonna give that a few days.
Anything not working that is easy to see such as GPS, etc. I was on PACROM for a long time and it seems to be killing my battery not to mention the GPS doesn't work on it.
Another new play toy. Awesome! Does this come with the correct modem, kernel, etc? Or do we need to flash them separate? I have all those if needed, just curious. Downloaded the ROM and Slim Minimal GAPPS to have something to play with while the kids are at school tomorrow.
Thanks for the port! Looking forward to trying it out!

Just flashed this a little while ago. Had a few issues with root permissions to begin with, even after going to Settings>Developer Options>Root access, but it's fixed now. Install SuperSU and selected to update the binaries, after reboot all was well and was able to uninstall SuperSU to use the built in superuser. Not sure what happened that caused all that, but it's whatever at this point :silly:
So far, I haven't noticed and issues. Even the APN settings for ST worked right out of the box. All my apps are restored and seem to be playing nicely. There were a few (Fast Burst Camera comes to mind) that didn't want to work even with Dalvic on other KK builds for the triple7 but it's all working here. Great job on this build sir. If I notice any bugs or anything that sticks out I'll let you know, but so far this is great. Keep up the good work!
an extra shout out...
I also owe @nimper thanks for quietly nudging me in the right directions several times, even beyond xda, when it's apparent that I'm operating at or beyond the capacity of my Android knowlege base.

I don't have it installed now and it's working fine. I've had this happen in other roms too dating back to 4.2.2. Must be something I'm doing with wipes or other things I flash with roms. Either way, it's resolved and working great. Good on the battery life so far too. I usually notice immediate huge drain when first installing a KK rom. This one is remarkably better IMO.
Now to get down to it and put it through the ringer :highfive:

Happy to help! I probably don't know any more than you do other than what I pick up from reading the forums and posts from the developers, but every little bit helps.
I ran the build, but I'm still just a messenger.
I certainly can't take any credit for how fluidly this firmware works. The Slim team is definitely crossing t's and dotting i's. There are several apps, (AOSP and third-party) that haven't worked correctly on other KK builds, that work flawlessly on SLIM.

Omni 6 Nightlies for Nexus 4 / Mako
You MUST DO A FULL WIPE before flashing nightlies, whether you are coming from homemade builds (aka my builds), or a previous version of OmniROM. Be certain to do a full backup of your data, apps, call logs, sms/text and so on before flashing. If you were to flash nightlies over my own builds or your custom made builds, or any other ROM, you would end in a bootloop
GAPPS must be flashed BEFORE initial boot, they will NOT work properly if you flash them afterwards !!!
Don't update gapps on nightlies update, only initial flash requires it. Updating gapps on next nightly would break those, and ROM would become unusable.
You MUST use this version of supersu, latest beta system less
Supersu beta System less

Hi! Wow, Marshmallow includes a ton of features, do you want me to make you a list of them? I don´t think so.
Whatever, features in 6.0 are practically the same than the Omni 5.1.1 ones, just some of them are disabled temporaly.
Wanna know what are the features in 5.1.1? Flash the OmniRom nightly for 5.1.1, or, if you want to make the process faster, directly flash this 6.0 build.
Enjoy!

I simply asked. All the other ROMs have a list with the basic features in the description, so it was a matter of time before someone came here and asked you for one. Also, flashing a ROM in order to find out what features it has, it's counterproductive. I've got free time when I come home from work, and the last thing I want to do is experiment with ROMs that I have no idea what features include and what don't. I usually read the description of a new ROM, see if it has what I'm interested in, and then decide if I feel like flashing it or not.

Actually I said him to write that, just is some kind of advice for all the users.
Backing up current ROM, and testing this ROM is something that could take you just 5 minutes.
Sometimes is really tiring to get messages from hundred of users asking about features, when they can be seen on our OmniRom github or by testing it. We don't provide a feature list as almost all ROMs do, we see that unnecesary, but we asure that the experience with our ROM is going to be great.
Actually the features included for Omni are the next ones:
We are not and probably we never were a feature bloated ROM, as other ROMs do as DU or CM does. Our ROM is just a clean AOSP one with minimal but nice features and with an optimized performance.
We, and also me, will be adding some features to it recently, I just finished yesterday on solving issues for my device, now is time for features.
Anyway sorry if reply was some kind of "unrespecful" but this way I wanted to prevent 50 posts asking for the same think.
I wish you to enjoy the ROM and tell us your feedback
Cheers!

As mentioned in the main thread, everything is on OmniROM's github or OmniROM's gerrit (in case it's not merged yet).
I try myself to publish non-official builds with available source for everything.
There is one (very tiny) difference between device_lge_mako used in this build and the one present in the non merged commit though, i've added "selinux=permissive" to make your life easier with root process while supersu is still not possible with selinux enabled, but this will never get merged, OmniROM intend to provide a secure ROM.
Here is again the link to OmniROM's github (copy of main thread link with url to kernel repo):
https://github.com/omnirom/android_kernel_lge_mako/tree/android-6.0
Have fun !
EDIT: In case the question rise, kernel is based on the work of Dmitry Ginsberg, except that I did track all the commits in his patch and cherry-picked all of them from google's git, only defconfig was taken from his patch. I removed the cpufreq_stats which is supposedly not implemented in Qualcomm S4 pro, even though some devs are trying to make an implementation, I won't probably include any of this in OmniROM's kernel, this for a few reasons, the first one being that I don't have the C/CPP knowledge to fully understand kernel's changes that "might" break things, second one being that I truly wish Nexus 4 kernel to stay as close as possible to AOSP, which is OmniROM's policy anyway
If one would want to submit patches to support some new features in the kernel, they are more than welcome to do so, patches will be reviewed by people with required experience and knowledge

As mentioned by @herna, he actually told me to write this answer. I am myself not rude by any mean, and try to give my users as much support as I can. I do work on OmniROM as a hobby, as I'm not even an IT professionally speaking. Currently chain testing gapps packages to be able to recommand one that works perfectly on Omni 6 for Nexus 4.
I am truly sorry if the tone of the message actually did offend people, doing so was not my intention. I published this homemade build to show people progress was being done on OmniROM 6 and let people play a bit with it, but since I knew it was a very early build not meant to be used as a daily driver, that's why I did tag the thread with experimental status, to avoid people with very few free time to actually try to use this ROM as a daily driver, or even features, as many things are yet to be fixed, and that's the reason why @herna actually told me to write this, to avoid the need to give support for bugs that are being solved and need time to be fixed. Because we are all doing this in our free time, none of us is getting paid to do this, we do that by passion for Android and its community.
I once again perfectly understand the message was rude, and I'm sorry if this offended people, I, in future, will avoid to answer with such a tone, and give more complete explanations why some questions can't get straight answers.
In the meantime, I really advise people who don't have much free time to spend on ROM flashing to stay away from this build for now, as it's really intended for people with knowledge and free time to get it running well. Rest assured I'll publish new builds as bugs are being solved in order to improve your experience
Have fun with OmniROM !

You actually need this unmerged commit to be able to boot:
https://gerrit.omnirom.org/#/c/15224/
I didn't merge it yet to allow modifications and keep things clean in the meanwhile, stlport is actually needed, that's the main modification to allow boot if you set selinux to permissive, if you want selinux enforced (no root at the moment), you'll also need the selinux policy changes.
This commit doesn't include permissive selinux, because it's not needed for boot, but if you need it, and don't know how to set it, let me know, i'll give you where and how to set it up.
Hope that solve your boot issue If you still have troubles booting despite that commit, please provide some logs so I can see what's wrong
Have fun
for those who might have issues with Google Keep force closing, I discovered that last version from play store actually doesn't work, you need to install an older one:
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/keep/keep-3-2-435-0-android-apk-download/
I've just uploaded 2 screenshots, don't be alarmed by the "!" next to my wifi icon, I'm in China, google services are blocked, that's also the reason why there's a key, vpn ...
Google keep, Gmail and maps didn't work as expected. As you mentioned Keep kept force closing. Maps and Gmail refused to accept sign in. I downloaded the apks from apkmirror. They work fine now.
The rom is awesome as usual. Thanks kldoc. One feature missing or is a new marshmallow feature is that the phone doesn't unlock after entering just the pin. You have to tap enter.

Thank you for your feedback ! Really happy to see it went rather well for you
Pin code auto-unlock was an option in Lollipop, have to admit I don't like this security wise. Just checked, and yes, Google removed the option.
I had less issue than you with Gapps, I used banks gapps, that I modified to include Google Now launcher, apart from keep, everything ran well from play store, but I use inbox, not gmail, might be the difference here.
Actually making a new build as I write this mail to verify the update process, will post it here once I'm done verifying that nothing is broken.
I managed to trick location, even if it was much more difficult to accomplish than on Lollipop, allowed me to be located in US and enable google now. Google now on tap also works from what i can see.

You can flash the recovery.img from TWRP itself. Go to the directory and tap 'Install Image' button. Select the recovery partition and flash.
ROM has been pretty stable for me, good amount of customization without overkill.
Performance is snappy, about equal to Hashbang's LOS that this is based on but with similar bugs, I'm guessing likely kernel & modem related:
• Wifi-Calling being on still causes silence when a call connects (Simple Mobile). Also makes me think that having it off is causing a lot of calls to go straight to voicemail instead of ringing.. could be coincidence
• Had the no notification/ringers/alarms bug initially but swapping my own sound files in, giving them the proper permissions, reboot with a dalvik & cache clear and it worked again (before on LOS and I think RR I had to replace audio xml files for it to work which i think caused new different audio related issues)
• Usual slow camera, flashlight bugs, no big deal
Really interested in the MicroG features and curios whether something has to be done in the ROM specifically to set it up. Would it improve battery life enough to go through the trouble?

I dont have this issue on NR. Funny enough. I did om rest.
I see no real hickups. All working here. Full pulldown on notifacation/ followed by edit, will freeze a sec, and go back to home screen, but just once each time - no biggie. Just a edit problem, once set up np.
But would like to see an option to see ram usage in recent, not just omni, no fan of omni Lol personal prefference. Absolut not a must, just so used to have it there.
Other than this GJ, new dayly driver. Ty. :highfive:
If my help can be used for some, just throw a holla OP :good:

Thank for the feedback.
Link me your audio files, I'll take a look and compare if anything is missing.
ROM boot and works without GApps. I have been installing test builds without GApps. You just have to manually install each apk and restore contacts.
Only thing that affects battery when using ROM with GApps is Location History, you can turn it off. Also you can disable Google Assistant so it won't run background processes to detect OK Google. It would get you almost similar battery life, as using without it.
As for WiFi-Calling, I don't think so we have that in India, so I can't test or even try to debug.

Ty. :highfive:

Sure, Thanks. I just started getting into this stuff, so I'll try to get as much as help from the community itself.
Umm.. RAM usage in Recent? Have you seen any other ROM with that feature? It will be good for some reference, if am attempting to do that.

RR have this feature m8. Likewise CR. So my guess is most los. But cant seem to find it anywhere here. Went it all through step by step.
But its not a must in any kind.
Ill go look for the settings in RR also if you need med to?
I have no device with RR atm, but an s5 with CR nougat. I guess its maybe an aosp recents? Says so in CR recent screen settings, if any help. Have no SD card back before tomorow, and ill then reflash RR and screen the settings. Ill add two of CR settings. Its on Sgs5 though, but they look the same, and had the same on the xt1572 RR/CR
Im no developer my self.
But done some dif testing back in the days with insanity and slim. those days. So by me saying holla if need help, is could you test this for me, then OFC!

Thanks for your work on this and reply. What audio files are you referring to? I just have my own ogg & wav files which i put into the subdirectories in /system/meda/audio and delete the stock ones, change permissions and go from there.
Regarding the MicroG, my most recent knowledge is from here: https://lineage.microg.org/#instructions which mentions a MicroG settings app that masks itself sets up "google" services for the apps that require it. GCM etc. That's what I was looking for but didn't find here so was just wondering It's open-source as far as I know, would it be possible to include in some future version of the ROM?
Another bug I've had recently is phone calls not waking the screen.
I am absolutely happy with the ROM. Not finding anything wrong. Being a moderate user I feel Nuclea works perfectly. A small glitch while opening camera. It takes a bit more time than usual. Otherwise no issues.

[ROM][OFFICIAL][9.0.0_r47][INACTIVE FOR PIE] Renouveau v9.0 (N920*/G92**)

This project is currently on pause and will not resume for Android 9. Active development is taking place for Exynos7420 devices on Android 10, and Renouveau v10 will pick up once these developments are finalized and ready for testing. Renouveau also will no longer be based on ResurrectionRemix, as they are no longer continuing with Android 10. If a moderator sees this, I ask that they close this thread. No further help will be provided for Renouveau v9. Thank you!

Introduction
Renouveau is an aftermarket Android firmware designed to renew your Android experience, with popular bases driving it all for customization, performance, and stability.
AOSP
↓
LineageOS
↓
ResurrectionRemix
↓
Renouveau
Renouveau has only existed for a few months now, so please be patient as the kinks get worked out and everything you could ever want and more is brought to the surface for your eyes to see (on your phone anyway).
Source Code
All the source code for Renouveau is available from the Renouveau GitHub organization. Any changes made from the original ResurrectionRemix and LineageOS bases can be found here.
Additionally, the source code for the prebuilt kernel (soon to be included as part of Renouveau) can be found here.
Known Issues:
In-call audio on US-variant devices (see Patches down below)
MTP May be fixed now according to some users, needs testing and feedback
GateKeeperService (currently cannot be acquired by LockSettingsService, which prevents users from using security methods such as PINs and therefore prevents users from enrolling biometrics such as fingerprints) May be fixed now according to some users, needs testing and feedback
If you install a recent OpenGApps build, Google's Setup Wizard may crash while adding the finishing touches
Pre-installed Firefox will always crash (due to a bug Mozilla has yet to fix when the context of the app is in /system/priv-app until you update the app via a more recent APK or the Play Store)
F-Droid still exists (oops)
ViperFX will still want to install its driver despite the driver shipping with Renouveau, just give it root access to reinstall the driver and then you can revoke root access again if you wish
Working:
Audio
Bluetooth
Camcorder
Camera
Capacitive Buttons
Data
Fingerprint (only if you have previously-enrolled biometrics from before the GateKeeperService bug was introduced) (see above)
GPS
HWC
Microphone
Notification LED
Rotation
S-Pen
Sensors
Torch
Video Playback
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi Hotspot (both 2.4GHz and 5GHz)
Supported Models:
SM-G920F
SM-G928X
SM-N920T/W8/P
SM-N920X
SM-N9208
Experimental: G92XUS devices
Experimental: G92X devices
If your model is not listed as being supported above but the ROM works for your variant of the SM-N920* series or the SM-G92** series, please tell me! I'll be happy to support it.
Install Instructions:
NOTE: Before downloading Renouveau, please check to make sure your device is an SM-N920T. If it is not, you will have to follow an additional set of steps in order to be able to flash the downloaded ZIP. Otherwise, you will receive an error about this ROM not being for your device.
The additional steps, to be done after downloading the latest version of Renouveau:
Open the downloaded ZIP file in your favorite archive software (such as 7-Zip, WinRAR, or good ol' File Explorer)
Inside of the ZIP, navigate to /META-INF/com/google/android
Drag the updater-script file to someplace you can access easily (such as your desktop)
Open the extracted updater-script file with your favorite text editor (such as Notepad, Notepad++, Sublime Text 3, etc)
On the very first line, you should see some text that looks like this:
Code:
assert(getprop("ro.product.device") == "nobleltetmo" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "nobleltetmo" || abort("E3004: This package is for device: nobleltetmo; this device is " + getprop("ro.product.device") + "."););
Remove this line such that the first line instead says this:
Code:
ui_print("Target: Samsung/nobleltetmo/nobleltetmo:9/PQ3A.190801.002/eng.joshua.20190914.154326:userdebug/test-keys");
Save the file
Drag the edited file back into the same location inside of the ZIP, and overwrite the changes if it asks you to
Use this edited ZIP to finish the installation/update instructions
Download the latest version of Renouveau v9.0 from the given releases page
Download the latest version of the Helios for AOSP 9.0 kernel from the given releases page
Download the latest version of OpenGApps (ARM64/9.0/nano) or a synonymous microG package (optional)
Download the latest version of Magisk (optional)
Reboot into recovery mode (support for recovery issues will only be provided for TWRP)
Flash Renouveau
Flash OpenGApps/microG (optional)
Flash the prebuilt kernel (if you're not using SM-G920F)
Reboot into Renouveau and set up your device
Reboot back into recovery mode, flash Magisk, and then reboot back into Renouveau (optional, but recommended for additional functionality not available without Magisk)

It may be possible that it already works for you! The only way to find out is to attempt to follow the install instructions and see if it boots. Before doing so, make sure to back up your device and then wipe data, system, cache, and dalvik/art cache. If you get a stable install running and can do your usual daily tasks, I'll make sure to add the N920W8 to the list of supported devices.
Good luck!
Quick boot and smooth home launcher. But My device cant find the sim (Note 5 N920T - sim VIETNAMESE)
The Bluetooth works very well on the N920G in both Floyd V2 and my builds of crDroid and Resurrection Remix, I do not know why not on the N920T.
Btw, Enes bringed up AOSP 9 for the Galaxy S6, not the Edge+ version & Khoailang2005 was the first to bring AOSP 9 kernel for N5, so, JijonHyuni take his idea an continue with it.

Hi,
It boots up when i flash the hyper kernel after flashing the rom.
bugs:
- In call audio is not working, when i call someone and its just blank no sound and hang up the Dialer with a beep and same with incoming call!
whats working:
-Bluetooth work fine on N920W8 and everything works fine except in-call audio.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To do:
-I think the main culprit is with the kernel it is not designed for our mobiles but instead it is made for all other samsung note 5 models.
-Please make some changes or build kernel and add support for N920W8 & N920T.

Thank you for the feedback!
Unfortunately I haven't self-developed any piece of the kernel behind this, but maybe I can try and work some things out, but who knows. I have some ideas I can experiment with, however I don't personally have service on my N920T for testing. I see you've joined the Discord server, so hopefully we can stay in contact on this issue and figure something out!

Hoping wifi tethering gets fixed. It's the only thing holding me back since I use that feature all the time.
@JoshuaDoes first of all thanks man for your great work your ROM working absolutely fine on s6 edge+ G928G with hyper kernal 2.6 no problem so far I m testing it right now but only one thing recent and back button are not working every thing else is working fine but I m still testing
I know you didn't support s6 edge+ but can you help me in regarding to back and recent keys
And thanks again for great

Just so you know, WiFi tethering *appears* to be working fine for me on my SM-N920T. I can create the hotspot on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. I can also connect to it from my laptop just fine. The only thing I am not sure about at the moment is whether or not internet connectivity will work as I don't currently have service on my phone to test.

Thank you for the kind words!
I'm afraid I wouldn't know where to start with getting the back and recents keys working, however should you decide to stay on Renouveau (or any other ROM that uses the Hyper Kernel), your best bet would be to enable the navigation bar and treat your phone like a soft navigation phone. In Renouveau you can find this under Settings > Renouveau Tools > NAVIGATION.
Best of luck!

What is LineageOS:
LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.
Instructions:
- Download the latest build and gapps/root and place them in your phones storage
- Reboot to twrp
- Wipe system, data, cache and dalvik
- Flash it all
- Reboot to system
- SUCCESS!
Known issues:
- You tell me
Please note:
- DO NOT report bugs if you have xposed or other than the rom original kernel
- This build is almost fully stable and its stable enough for daily use
- I recommend using opengapps (link: LINK )
- if the rom doesnt pass safetynet WITH magisk installed, go to the magisk manager settings and re-enable magisk hide (turn it off and turn it on)

Nice, report what you think
I will install this on my dead touch screen bacon
Edit: flashing is so fast, even faster than pie
Edit2: Except battery percentage can't be shown, back swipe not working in trebuchet launcher, digital wellbeing is stopping working; rest is fine, feel smooth and better than Android pie. I believe lineage source is bug because pe is running fine for most phones on Android 10. Hope lineage can fix all their bug and remove some duplicate stuff, which already supports on Android 10 such as theme

Wellbeing is crashing on pie too so idk about that,
But thanks for saying and testing :good:
Just like to say.....did a thorough test yesterday on GPS,as I was out around town and it performed well....
cool! nice to see the continued lineage support!! Almost felt nostalgic while browsing the ringtone and notification sounds. Some of those tunes are there since android 1.5 or 2.1!
Otherwise seems ok. There is some (micro)stutter when scrolling or expanding the notification bar. Also traffic indicators are in the middle instead of lined up to the right. Not many settings but that was never the point of lineage. for an early build it looks pretty good!
Also a tip for the rest: (as of the time of posting) you can flash android 10 open gapps. since it greyed out on their mainpage you have to go to their sourceforge and then the beta folder where android 10 beta gapps can be found. works for me and could log in. No issues so far. flashed magisk too but both safety net checks didn't pass.

cool! nice to see the continued lineage support!!
No issues so far. flashed magisk too but both safety net checks didn't pass.

try magisk props config module or whatever it was called and change fingerprint to onyx, it might do something, the slutter when scrolling should be fixed in the next build i think and thanks for using it :highfive:
Edit: ok you don't actually have to use the magisk props config module, just turn magisk hide off and on and it will fix safetynet
Hello,
Thanks for the rom, it is super smooth and fast.
Some issues:
Quick charge doesn't work (origninal and aftermaket chargers)
customization doesn't work (black dark theme crashes)
override force-dark autodisables after reboot
battery life seems worse than LOS 16
Regards
For me black theme work.
Magisk and yt vanced working.
Led notification not working.
Swipe lock screen is not accurate. Sometimes I have to slide my finger a few times before unlock.
Long loading photos on galery. On Los16 works fine with the same number of pictures.
Battery profiles are removed? Or moved somewhere else?
Customize navigation buttons?
Besides that, great rom. I love bacon.
I had troubles with gestures (back gesture do not work). Also pill home button is not working (nothing happens when I choose this type of buttons), and I could not find setting to disable hardware buttons under the screen. Besides that it works ok. Google pay is not working and it said that I have rooted Phone (netflix is also not visible on Google play), but safetynet is passed
