I found this thread, it is related to the Honor10 but i don't hope it will be extended to all Huawei products

IT will extend. As I read that's the deal Huawei had to take to launch devices in the US. No more unlocking, rooting and so on. All pages will go down soon.

Damn. I really wanted the M5 with LTE. I have the M3 and the only thing I don't like about it is no LTE. I know that one of the models has all AT&T bands except for band 2, but in my area I've only seen band 2 except for a few instances of band 12 and it was only 2 bars.

Just saw that today. I was really disappointed
And there is an additional requirement for requesting unlock from Huawei:
2. 用户必须在申请解锁的设备上登录华为云帐号并使用超过两周;

That is not written in the English version. It means:
The device MUST log on to Huawei Cloud account for over 2 weeks.

I just started my Huawei Cloud account (I feel using China's service is not right and disabled them on my first run). Hope I cloud pass through their requirement within the last 60 days ?
Otherwise I must pay for unlock, which does not seems right to me

Got mine now in case it's needed at some point in the future.. Thanks for letting us know.

OK, I'm new to this concept. So if I ever want to unlock the bootloader, I need to get a code now before the service is discontinued? But that code will be good forever, for repeated unlockings if needed?
And in order to get that code, I need to use Huawei cloud service for two weeks?

@Obveron: Yes, yes and no. I have not used the cloud thingy.

Device stolen still appears, with the name of the new carrier!

I noticed that my Nexus One (stolen the 8th of July) still appears on my devices lists on Google Play, with some interesting informations
I want to clarify that this happens with the Google Account password changed (because I did it after the theft)!

My carrier wasn't Wind but H3G.
I assume there is nothing I can do, because I've changed the password of the Google Account (for security reasons), but I'm curious if there is some different way to find the new SIM number.
The IMEI would be blocked on the entire territory from tomorrow, so this as***** will be able to use it with no phone functions.
Thanks

If it shows up on your market account you could log in to play store and push a tracking app to it.
You could then locate who has it as well as tell the police and or the thiefs carrier.

The last version of Android where you could remotely change the device password if you got locked out of your phone was Kit Kat.
The only time I've heard of an update making the device stop recognizing the correct password is when a custom recovery is being used that can't properly decrypt data in which case the owner could boot back into TWRP and reformat the device memory.
In this case it sounds much more like somebody with a stolen phone trying to bypass the security set up by the legitimate owner.
As far as I know helping somebody do that still gets you banned from XDA.
If the OP here is the legitimate owner then there is probably a hardware problem with that phone and he should get it serviced under the warranty.
It's probably a script that's poorly written. Not necessarily the update.

Once the phone is paid off, sprint will give you an unlock code.
As far as root goes, the US versions of Samsung phones will not be rootable.

Question 10T 5G Chinese OS to International

Hello!
I'm honestly very green when it comes to flashing of any sorts and never paid attention to the XDA Forums. I've been using Samsung devices purchased on the international market and decided it was enough when I dropped my zFlip 3 and the capacitive touch stopped working.
I'm currently residing in China and plan on purchasing a 10T 5G locally.
Since Chinese devices don't come with Google services out the box, how would I go about flashing a custom ROM or even an official release ROM onto the phone to use it as if it was an International device? Buying a phone and not being able to use Google services is a no go for me.
If not the 10T, is there any other devices that I could purchase in China that would allow me to flash an international ROM to enable Google services?
Any help/explanation would be greatly appreciated!
My Ace Pro is a China release of 10t, when I purchased it online, the seller flashed 10T India Rom. Works here in the Philippines.
see https://www.oneplusbbs.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=6370880

Cool! So apart from a different name and OS there doesn't seem to be a vast difference between whats released internationally and in China. Thanks for the info!
