IMEI null/Baseband unknown - Asus Zenfone 4 (2017) Questions & Answers

After flashing firmware with QFIL I have this issue. I have no IMEI and no baseband installed. I don't know why. Maybe there were some problems during flashing or there were an erasing of the EFS partition with modem files. It is not possible to use the SIM card because it isn't recognized from the phone. Please help, I followed each guide on this forum, but nothing worked for me.

Unless you have an efs backup, or flashing an EMG modem enables your efs partition to be read again, then you are basically screwed and need a service centre.

Baseband: unkown and unable to retrive iMEi

I tried unlocking my bootloader unofficially and bricked it, then trying to fix it I may have accidentally wiped all my partitions.
Luckily I followed the guide and unbricked it via the 'teardown' method, flashed V7.2.3.0.LHOCNDA with MI flash and it is now up and running again.
The issue now is I cannot turn on Wi-Fi and the phone cannot detect my sim card. Baseband is unknown and i have no iemi.
I have flashed several different versions and it is still the same.
I am now rooted and have twrp recovery
Could wiping all the partitions do this, is it reversible?
BTW: it a 16gb Pro from china if that helps

Help! My IMEI was set to default of 0049xx and I can't connect to my network carrier.

After having my phone in a bootloop, i figured that my /efs folder was corrupted as it won't mount, so I tried the fix in a website that used adb with mk2fs command thing (I don't know what it is so I just followed the instructions). and I don't have any backups of the /efs folder. I know my IMEI code from the back of the battery in my phone. I've tried most solutions here including QPST, reverting to stock, and using root explorer to transfer the nv_data (I don't have the .nv_data file with the .). I'm currently running Paranoid Android ROM of android 6.0.1.
Did you try flashing a stock rom to see if that solves the problem?
Flash Modem DDEMG2.zip to get your imei. Then flash Patched_XXUGMK6_modem.zip to get mobile signal

Unknown BaseBand (No IMEI, No Device ID)

Hello,
After a fail flash custom rom, my phone got bricked. Somehow, i recovered it.
But now, i'm facing two major issues : No IMEI, No BaseBand (Wi-Fi is still working.)
I've tried every single post concerning : Restoring Imei and Restoring EFS partition.
(When i tried to restore the EFS partition following this guide : https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/how-to/flash-recover-efs-snapdragon-t3406789 . It requested me a password after booting)
Please help me, it'll save my life :crying:
