Custom Rom to Stock Rom for Honor View 10 C675 (Indian Build) - Honor View 10 ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Other D

Many of the Indian Users of Honor View 10 C675 are stuck with custom roms and cannot quite find ways to get back to stock. For them, @oreopie wrote a thread to get back to original which was tested by both of us. Strangely, it worked for us the first time and the second time I tried it got it me into a bootloop. The method still works for @oreopie, but has stopped working for me. PLEASE BACKUP YOUR DATA BEFOREHAND TO AVERT ANY SERIOUS LOSSES OF ANY KIND, MONETARY OR EMOTIONAL.
This thread is meant to get done with the bootloop and get back to stock.
Please try the method mentioned below by @oreopie initially,
Guide to return back to Indian Stock (C675) on V10 from any Custom ROM
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-view-10/how-to/guide-to-return-to-indian-stock-c675-t3800588
If this gives you a bootloop (which is unlikely), follow the below method.
PS- As much as this method is tested, We're not to take blames for any untoward happenings whatsoever. Please try this at your own risk.:fingers-crossed:
Prerequisites-
*Bootloader unlock code
*Fastboot and ADB drivers
*Some patience
@luckykhera2 's Rom backup (https://drive.google.com/uc?id=14XmgXGR2s1iBPixUh8rTMK0HcoGEuHmO&export=download)
*Huawei Extractor Tool (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2433454) - Thanks to @worstenbrood
*TWRP- Preferably unofficial all thanks to @Pretorian80 (https://www.google.co.in/amp/s/foru...velopment/recovery-twrp-3-2-1-0-t3769917/amp/)
The Method-
*Assuming, you're in a bootloop, please download Lucky Khera's rom backup. Extract it using 7zip or RAR, to find Update.APP in it.
*Create a folder, dload in the root of your SD card, and paste Update.APP in it.
*Use the combination of Volume down+Power (on plugging phone via USB) to enter fastboot mode.
*Hover to the ADB folder, and right click to find 'Open Command Window'.
*Type the commands- Fastboot OEM relock *Your Unlock Code*. This will lock your Bootloader.
Also, be warned that this will lead to loss of data, this is where a data backup will help you out.
*Do check if your bootloader is locked by turning on the device and rebooting it to fastboot mode. You'll see Phone-locked. Don't worry about FRP, we need that unlocked for now.
*Now that your bootloader is relocked, put in your sd card, and hold a combination of Volume Up+Volume Down+Power, until the phone goes to Honor bootsplash screen, to enter software downloading mode.
Here, I'm assuming you've Dload folder placed in your SD Root.
*If you've done everything properly, the software update procedure will start and you'll be greeted with a stock rom quite soon.
Unlocking your bootloader remains a choice to you, do shall you please. For me, I wanted an unlocked BL thereafter.
Enjoy Stock! Repeat the same method once Honor pushes a worthy, comprehensive OTA update.
Big thanks to @luckykhera2 and @oreopie for his rom backup and for an intensive research alongside, respectively.

@ankan1993 Thanks a lot for sharing the stock rom and helping me out. And this is what i did.
1. Extract the shared zip and put the dload folder in root of sd card.
2. Switch to fastboot mode.
3. Flash stock recovery.
4. Switch off the mobile.
5. Press vol up + down and power button for the update to start.
And voila it worked. The bootloader and frp got locked automatically after the update.

Pleasure! Goodluck with Honor View 10!??

im currently running custom rom, phone in working condition,if i place the file in internal storage instead of SD card, will it work?

Dload file bigger than 4gb so problem copying on fat32 SD card, can the phone read NTFS format SD card?

Since, relocking the bootloader erases everything inclusive of the internal memory, it is advisable to place it in your SD card. Some people tried with an unlocked bootloader and it worked for them, however, I'd advice otherwise, as Huawei somehow took away my version when I tried it on an unlocked bootloader.

Since yours is a FAT32 partitioned SD, you won't be able to move the file. Yes, in such cases, NTFS comes to our rescue. Format it in NTFS partition and were good to go. Goodluck!

Well FYI...
You were in bootloop cause your cache/internal was corrupt and when u relocked the bootloader it formatted it to fix it...
You would have been fine with a internal format, but anyway glad u got the device working
This should work even with unlocked bootloader

No need to relock bootloader. Dload will take care if that and lock it along with frp.
Op can update instruction.

Dload is meant for sd card only. Although, i was able to get it work on my 5C but no other Huawei/honor phone and only sd card worked for dload.

So my phone is still in bootloop.
I`ve tried everything i could thing of. I1ve had TWRP installed, sideloaded custom roms, several official ones. Erased system, dalvik, cache and data through recovery and also ADB commands.
I tried it with official bootloaders, locked an unlocked. I`ve tried the Update.app on external SD card method (several versions).
Nothing get`s my phone out of bootloop. I`m at the end of my options really. Anyone has any new idea?

Have you tried erecovery option? Boot to erecovery, download and install stock full firmware.
Else try once the guide i posted yesterday via fastboot.

erecovery gives me the "Getting package info failed" error and i did the fastboot method.

[ROM][Official Beta][7D-503L & 7D-501u][Lollipop 5.1.1][EMUI 3.1][C208B011SP05/SP06]
Huawei has officially started its lollipop upgrade program for MediaPad X1 (7D-503L & 7D-501u) by pushing the first OTA updates to beta testers.
If you are not one of them but would still like to give it a swirl, ROM files and update instructions as below.
Flashing method is standard huawei procedures other than u will need to flash 2 files this time round, the first serves to re-partition the internal memory to accommodate lollipop.
The usual 'be careful, do it at your own risks' caveats apply, do take note that everything on the phone's internal memory (the 16GB part) will be wiped, your microSD card will not be affected though.
Have fun!
Not working:
1) Please note MHL (HDMI) function is not available in this ROM, if you require this function, do not update.
2) Xposed Framework is also a no go on EMUI 3.1 without modding, if u really must try, remember to have the uninstaller (flashable zip) ready in your microSD card, u will need that when you run into a X1 that fails to boot
(Huawei's default per app 320/400 dpi setting is working fine, thus non working Xposed is non consequential if u only need it for this purpose)
Steps:
1) Ensure your X1 (501u and 503L) is on the latest official (non-rooted) EMUI 3.0 B011 ROM, if not, kindly update to it
7D-501u - http://emuirom123.dbankcloud.com/7D-501u_EMUI3.0_Android4.4_V100R002C208B011.zip?rid=1141
7D-503L - http://emuirom123.dbankcloud.com/7D-503L_EMUI3.0_Android4.4_V100R002C208B011.zip?rid=1142
Clear cache and reset to factory settings before you flash the Beta 5.1.1 below.
2) Download the 2 necessary ROM files (the smaller 30+MB one is an update for modem / radio / kernel and also for re-partitioning etc; the larger near 1GB file is the ROM proper)
7D-503L
http://www.mediafire.com/download/9ea7yb206d869ya/7D-503LV100R002C208B011SP05.zip
http://www.mediafire.com/download/7o9g94z8c756ijs/7D-503LV100R002C208B011SP05_Main.zip
7D-501u
http://www.mediafire.com/download/pfp85guitv71745/7D-501uV100R002C208B011SP06.zip
http://www.mediafire.com/download/dld8lxrewj288tm/7D-501uV100R002C208B011SP06_Main.zip
3) At the root of your microSD card, create a folder and name it 'dload', rename the 30+MB file to 'update.zip' and copy that into 'dload' folder
4) Go to 'Settings', 'Updater', 'Menu' and 'Local update'. Choose the (only) update available and perform the update.
5) Phone will reboot and update will run, when you see a big tick, eject the microSD card and the phone will reboot again (if it doesn't, simply long press the power button to force shut and restart it).
6) After the phone has rebooted, re-insert the microSD, navigate to 'dload' folder and erase the update.zip file
7) Unzip the near 1GB ROM file and copy the update.app file into 'dload' folder
8) Download unlmt.rar file below and copy the 0 byte cfg file into the dload folder
9) repeat above steps 4) to 6) (delete update.app instead at step 6)**
** If you are prompted for a PIN code when the phone reboots after a flash, fret not, simply force shut it by long pressing the power button, then enter Recovery by pressing the vol+ & power button simultaneously, and choose to clear cache. The PIN code request will be gone when the phone reboots
Google Play Store and Calendar / Contacts Sync
10) Your X1 should now be on 5.1.1, download and install the 3 google apk files below to get Play Store and Calendar / Contacts Sync.
(Good news here is the whole google framework already exists in the ROM, therefore there is no need to mess with root to do that)
Root
To obtain root access on this ROM, use the latest Wondershare MobileGo one click root (Win) program - thanks to jonjong http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63397619&postcount=34 - to root it.
There is also another 'cleaner' method of flashing custom CWM recovery and then chainfire's update.zip, but this will involve unlocked bootloader and some knowledge or ability to read chinese, will find some time to include a detailed write-up if there is demand for it. For now, you can download the necessary below:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/i564vr6587r2ma8/X1_5.1.1_Root.rar
Both methods need an unlocked bootloader AFAIK. If u come from B011, the bootloader should already have been unlocked.
If your X1 is 501L, you can unlock your bootloader by flashing the latest B102 ROM (EMUI3.0 / KK 4.4.2 / International / GAPPS) released by Huawei Germany - thanks to super_sonic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63420650&postcount=50
B102 download: http://www.mediafire.com/download/i...iaPad_X1_SDCard_Update_Android_4.4.2_B102.zip
Do note that if you do a factory reset after updating to 5.1.1 or re-flash 5.1.1 within 5.1.1, there is a chance that the bootloader will be re-locked.
Your mileage may vary.
Good luck
what about 501u ??
Great! Finally! Waiting for 501U
How is the performance guys. Is it snappier or the same lags?
Thank you very much, have been waiting for this since August as promised by Huawei. I don't want to stuck at kitkat (B011).

With my 2 cents, you can use this rom on 501u with 4G switch off.
I dont understand,i have done everything right, but still its 4.4.2 and not 5.1.1.
And it doesnt recognize which version i have!!
When it boots it says android, and it doesnt have the Honor X1 logo.

if still not working, download and unzip the attached file, put the unzipped 0 byte cfg file together with update.app in dload folder, reboot the phone and see if it auto flashes, if it does, hope it flashes as per normal.
if it doesn't, restart in recovery and tried flashing it again.

No storage after installing ROM

Goodafternoon,
I tried to root my Honor 7, but failed, don't know why, was stuck in a bootloop. Then I unfortunately deleted the whole system with TWRP recovery..
Then I downloaded the current ROM from a forum called modaco which seemed to be trustworthy and extracted it with HuaweiUpdateExtractor to then install the data with fastboot. I installed everything like system, boot, data etc. and everything works fine, except for the internal storage. Normally it should have about 13 GBs, but now has less than 3. When I go to Storage in the settings, it tells me I only have 3 GB internal storage in total.
As I don't exactly know how to describe this problem and therefore don't know how to google it, I ask you. If you need some more information let me know.
Would be very kind if anybody could help me or have some advices as I am not a real genius in doing such things.
Thanks!!
Hi,
First of all, is the custom rom deodexed ?
because on stock rom ( emui ) , you juste have to go into recovery, then factory reset, with a Custom, idk
I can only tell you before trying factory reset, make a full backup, then you could try

After manually flashing all the .img files you should perform a force update aka three button update, by putting the same version of UPDATE.APP from which you extracted those .img files.

So you mean, I have to flash the phone with bootloader with the extracted files from update.app and then put it on my SD card and manually update my phone with exactly that update.app file? or am I wrong? I already tried something similar, but couldn't find the option in my honor 7 in the update settings, to manually update (I have put the update.app on my sd card).
I tried to install another ROM (MoDaCo - ROM) with hard resets etc. but didn't solve the problem.
I do exactly have 3.87 GBs of internal storage after flashing the new ROMs or update.app files. I found somebody else with the exact same problem. He solved it by hard resetting his phone with the TWRP recovery, but didn't work for me. In that forum they told him, he has some "ghost ROMs" on his phone, from flashing his phone before.
If you do have any ideas or clues for me, don't hesitate to tell me. And thanks for your help!!

Yes, you have to do exactly that, flash files like cust.img, system.img, recovery.img, userdata.img(DELETES YOUR DATA), boot.img after extracting them using Huawei Extractor tool from UPDATE.APP.
After you do that follow below steps:
Put that UPDATE.APP in dload folder in your External SDCARD.
Switch off your phone.
Press the three button combo (Vol UP + Vol DOWN + Power).
After this your whole device will get flashed with that UPDATE.APP file you put in dload folder.
Try these steps, then tell me if the problem still persisits. I hope this solves it.

@Maxdr13 I can't confirm about userdata, as once I did a three button update my data was intact, but some people also reported that data gets wiped, and after the three button update you will get OTAs.

In RR's honor thread, it's at least stated that you'll need to flashback stock vendor partition if you want to come back to stock EMUI.
Stock Recovery and stock boot partitions may also be needed to be flashed back.
Thanks for all your relies. I used dload method now end everything went well without any problems. (firmware, then the vendor)

I used the guide and links provided on this post:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/firmware-huawei-honor-9-stf-l09-stock-t3696892
I copied the dload/update.app into the root of my sd card and then rebooted my phone into dload (volume up + volume down + power). After it finished installing I interrupted the startup and rebooted into recovery where I did a factory reset and wiped cache. Then I removed the update.app from the dload folder, renamed the other .app file into update.app and did the same dload process again.
* Sorry for the bit complicated explanation; I meant copying the folder dload including the update.app into the root of the sd card. So was update.app not directly in the root but in dload folder.

Yes, already successfully updated EMUI 5 to 8 and eventually flashed Project Treble.
It's really working great so far, the only issue is the slow homebutton which I also mentioned in the thread.
Edit - Also, for those who are wondering because of my status bar:
Xposed Beta for Oreo as well as GravityBox [O] are working fine on this Rom.

[SOLVED] Nothing works to go back to emui 8

Hello (i'm french, excuse my english)
I tried to install a custom rom two weeks ago and it worked perfectly but i wanted to go back to emui 8.0 (i was in this version before installing a new rom). BUT I can't..... I tried to do the three finger way without success... i tried too to install the stock rom with twrp and it failed. I tried saturday to wipe data and factory reset to reinstall something but i wipe also the product and the version... Since this mistake nothing works. I really need your help guys...
Thanks a lot
@leocap33 tried kindly to help me but his method did'nt work (we made a HWOTA8 file and tried to flash it with twrp). If someone has an idea i'm interested !
Maybe could i use a backup if someone has it ?

System doesn't start but yes i can go in fastboot mod. I have a recovery stock i found on internet but it doesnt work perfectly. But i can reinstall twrp. I used A LOT of files with dload or HWOTA8 and it failed everytime.
So:
download this:
https://mega.nz/#F!Yt8EDQ6S!6vl70iHvwCf4QlPbrN3cTQ
this is valid stock recovery oreo
put in "HWOTA8" directory in ext SD those files and those files too:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1AUCN8e1gE6TIvem69YAy_sTGFsvoLorT
important: sd card have to fomrmatted in exFAT mode!!!!!
install a TWRP on phone
2 On the phone, hold down togheter the +volume key and the power key
3 The phone will reboot into the TWRP recovery
4 In TWRP, find the hwota8 folder on the SD card and flash the "hwota8_update.zip"
5 The phone will reboot into the stock recovery and it will install the firmware
++++++ IMPORTANT ! !! !!++++++
After installing the firmware you need to boot into the recovery and make a full wipe!
let me know what happening
I have already tried the HWOTA8 way but maybe it was bad files, i will retry with those files ! Thanks

Flashed BLK firmware instead of BLA

I've managed to flash (using the guide here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-10/how-to/guide-mate-10-flash-oreo-update-package-t3716814) the incorrect firmware to my phone. I used the 8.0.0.140 firmware for the BKL-L09 to my BLA-L09. Now, it reports as having no IMEI number and I have no SIM car recognised.
I've tried using the guide above, but it reports as BKL not supported.
How screwed am I? Would something like FunkyHuawei Unbrick Flash Tool work (although the download keeps being reported as having a virus). Has anyone got any ideas?
Thanks.

See if you can flash TWRP: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-10/development/huawei-mate-10-pro-twrp-3-2-1-0-t3769904
If it works, you can re-flash BLA using: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/tool-flash-official-firmware-recovery-t3769279
If you don't get FBE working you should be able to just Wipe -> Format Data -> 'yes' and use Reboot -> Recovery. This will remove encryption.
After this transfer the HuRUpdater script and firmware zips to internal sdcard.
Be sure to backup internal sdcard before Format Data as this will wipe it.
I'm amazed your phone even boots

You and me both!
I've got TWRP on, but so far it's just showing me the TWRP splash screen and not actually loading into it.

Boot looping with TWRP. Only shows the splash page for a bit then reboots to the eRecovery.
Evening my brother,
Please relax and don't panic, as you are not alone and by the look of things you won't be the last one. I also did the same thing by rebranding my mate 10 pro to porsche design and flashed the porsche firmware to my 10 pro. After all that my device booted and it was rebranded to porsche design, but without imei, not detecting sim and all I had to do was to rebrand it back to BLA-L29 and flashed the BLA-L29 firmware. All is back to normal working order. I just hope your bootloader is still unlocked.
The bootloader is unlocked, I just can't get into TWRP at the moment.
You don't need TWRP and all you need is to follow the guide in this forum about rebranding. You also don't need FH paying method. Just follow that guide and it is straightforward.

I've tried following that method but I get an error message saying "No support BKL".
Ok I see. Please download the firmware package of the exact original model of your mate 10 and try and flash it using the same guide, but of course without rebranding and see if it will take it.

Tried that as well. Still says "No support device BKL"
Ok, I'm in to TWRP. However, it will not let me mount the phone as storage. Nor does it have an SD Card slot that I can put the files on to. Ideas?

Open TWRP terminal OR adb shell:
mount -r /vendor
mount -o rw,remount /vendor
See if it want to flash now.
Which TWRP are you using BTW? (post link to thread)
I've tried a few versions - one starts the install but reboots randomly and then others that bomb out straight away.

Still bombs out using this one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-10/development/huawei-mate-10-pro-twrp-3-2-1-0-t3769904
I've tried 0.4 (reboots), 0.5 and 0.6.
I've also tried this one (random reboots) https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-10/development/recovery-twrp-3-2-1-0-touch-recovery-t3752399
And I've tried this one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/oreo-t3754483 (same - bombs out)
Is there a way to recover this installing the Huawei zips through ADB or something?

Actually, have you tried TWRP for V10?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-view-10/development/recovery-twrp-3-2-1-0-t3769917
Else you can try NoCheck, it will let you flash firmware using stock recovery (patched to not do verification).
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ho.../recovery-bkl-nocheck-recovery-flash-t3778085
(It has only been tested on L04, but I guess it's worth a shot)
You'd just need to get Magisk, which should be easy as you'd only need to patch ramdisk or if you already have it installed.
