US997 WiFi Calling with Verizon- (LG response)- only works on T-Mobile - LG G6 Guides, News, & Discussion

My wife's VS988 (verizon branded LG G6) has all the wifi calling features available but my US997 model does not and that pissed me off since I know that the phone has the capability. The service menu has a ton of wifi calling parameters and I can access the toggle via QuickShortcutMaker app. I contacted LG and here is their response:

TLDR- US997 wifi calling only works on T-Mobile. I'm not sold that it can't work on Verizon, more that LG just didn't do it for some business decision, partnership agreement or whatever. Anyone know of a workaround to get working with Verizon?

For the one month that I was a verizon customer, I had to enable something through verizon's website to get wifi calling on my Nexus 6p. Did you enable it from your verizon account?
Wifi calling even works on my t-mobile sim through straight talk, but no chance with the straight talk verizon sim.

It is HD calling that you enable via your Verizon account on their website. I have already enabled that.

[Q] Which APN to use? Pay Per Use Issue????

I just got the HTC One AT&T version a couple days ago. It was stock for about 30minutes, then I unlocked and put CM10.1 on it.
My question is this. I checked my data usage and it's showing I'm using PAY PER USE DATA!
I have DataPro 5GB for Smartphone 4G LTE plan.
Which APN am I suppose to use? My phone has a bunch of them automatically.
ATT LTE is the default with the apn: pta
I'm seeing people here are saying to use the apn: phone (named ATT Phone on my phone).
Here's a screenshot of my data usage:

Is it charging me $0.00 per KB then?
Why isn't it showing under the 5120MB section that I will be paying monthly?
When I click View Details it shows this:
It shows the phone was using apn PHONE for 39 minutes, then I think after I put CM10.1 on it, it uses the APN PTA.
I added it up and it is about 33megs.
So is AT&T charging me for these?
Any insights before I call them up?
So which APN should I be using?
Thanks!
Just got off the phone with AT&T, the CSR and his Manager couldn't figure it out so they're putting a case for it to have higher people to look into it.

[FIXED] T-Mobile My Account App on WiFi

Has anyone else encountered a problem using the T-Mobile My Account app while connected to Wi-Fi? If I go into the app and tap on "Account Info", this is the screen I get. Any thoughts?

yep i get that too, turning off my wifi and exclusively using data connection works
I fixed it. Go into Settings - More Networks - Access Point Names. Create a new one called "T-Mobile", then use all the same settings as the default APN (the one called T-Mobile US LTE) , except change APN Protocol from "IPV6" to "IPV4/IPV6". Save it, then select it as the active APN, and reboot. At that point, My Account will work over wifi.

That fixed worked for me, thanks!
Also, just as a point of interest, I called T-Mobile about this yesterday, and they are aware of the limitation. They claim that it's deliberate, because "connecting from their network is more secure" or something like that. They said that they're working on a new version of the app which will allow connectivity over wifi, too, but this works for me

what 3g (not 4g) bands does Verizon LG G3 support

What 3G bands does Verizon LG G3 support? I am interested in UMTS band 1 (2100MHz) but it is unclear from the spec weather it is supported or not. Can someone help figure out? Also is there an option in hidden menu to open more 3G bands like the one for 4G (LTE)?
If you search the Verizon G3 section for "band" you should find all the information you need.
Ignore me if that info only covered 4G. ?
Despite its name, LTE Discovery in the Play Store might give you some of the info you need.
Thank you for the advice. I've tried but I didn't find any info on 3G. All discussions are about LTE (4G). I am going to try their customer support when they open tomorrow.
I am trying to decide between Verizon and t-mobile version of LG G3. Verizon version comes unlocked but it is unclear wether it supports UMTS band 1. According to LG site T-mobile version appears to support band 1 for roaming.
Good luck! FYI, questions go in Q&A, not General.

LG V10 Not For Sale - Network Unlocked

Hi,
Please help me to unlock My LG V10. I already try using some 3rd party sites to unlock my phone but still they cannot calculate the unlock code for me. I just also wondering why my unit has engraved word to bottom right part saying "Not for Sale H960A Rev 1.0". I also contacted T-Mobile US to help me but they cannot perform the calculation of my unlock codes unless I subscribe to one of the Plans they offer. I don't know if this is a demo unit. I'm from the Philippines and I just really want to use my Phone to our Local Network Carrier.
I already don't know what to do now. Hope someone can really help me. Thank you.

impossible to unlock because the IMEI is not in T-mobile's database and can never be added to the database even if purchase one of their plans. IMEI must be in T-mobile's database for the unlock app to work.
Plus... H960A is the European model, not the T-Mobile one... (H901).

VoLTE problem

Hi there! I intentionally bought Moto G9 Power from eBay to be used here in the Philippines for a network that requires VoLTE. Upon checking the phone's description, it says it supports VoLTE. But I am having a hard time to find it in settings. Please help me open/activate this function. Thank you very much.
Go to Settings>Network&Internet>Mobile network.
There should be a toggle for VoLTE there.
Stating the obvious here, it will only appear if you have a 4G SIM and a 4G plan, and if the network supports VoLTE.
Here's a screenshot of the menu on my phone:

If you have purchased a model which was not specifically manufactured for PH then you may not get Volte features eventhough your data would work. Like for IND a device purchased from US will not have Volte enabled but data services do work
