Stock ROM impressions (Oreo) - BQ Aquaris X Pro Questions & Answers

Hello everyone,
I'm interested in buying the Aquaris X Pro.
The X2 looks a bit better, but I don't like the 18:9 screen ratio and the hardware differences apart from a different camera and SOC are not quite there.
I read about some issues with the stock Oreo ROM provided by BQ.
Can you give me some feedback to this?
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards,
André

[Q] Is a One X ROM applicable ?

Hi,
as hardware are really similar, you guys think it is allowed to install a HTC One X rom on the XS ?
Cheers
Not similar at all so no.

LOLing at the OP.
The OneX is a QUAD CORE and the XS is a dual core just for starters. All the hardware is completely different. Had a few joints before you came on XDA did you?
And what !
PC have many different hardware configs, but all can run i.e. Windows

Custom Rom for E1003 Ceramic Edition

Hi
This might be a stupid question, but non the less I would like to verify first xD
I am loving this device. The form factor the build quality and the performance with a custom ROM is absolutely top notch. So I am planning to get me a second one, the ceramic version, cause I like the appearance of that one.
Before i purchase one here is my question:
I found a ceramic one model no E1003. The model no is the only thing relevant for installing custom Roms? So with E1003 I am able to flash every popular ROM on it? I am just wondering as I read something about the ceramic version not being compatible with most of the Roms out here.
Thanks in advance, and sorry if this is a stupid question
You can install the current ROMs on the Ceramic variant with no issues whatsoever, the devs put "onyx" in the names because it is the Device Name for the OnePlus X.
The ceramic on the other variant is just an aesthetic change, the internal hardware remains the same. So Flash away
Thanks mate, then I can purchase without a problem ????

Sure ! Honestly, if the price difference wasn't so vast at launch, I'd have gotten the Ceramic one myself.
I could get a brand new one for 265 € which is an awesome deal. Will give the black one to my girlfriend ^^

Huawei ascend xt(same specs as 5x)

OK guys I have a question and can see if any dev can help with root, twrp, and maybe custom Roms for this phone. Was able to get it for 49.00 during black Friday. I was able to unlock the bootloader and enable OEM bootloader unlock.
Here are the specs:
Snapdragon 616
2gbs of ram
Emui 4.1
6.0.1
6in 720hd screen
3000mah battery
I think the roms can be ported to the device since it has the same chipset, maybe someone will do it, or learn to do so yourself I don't think porting is that complicated, there tutorials that you should check.
Well I would but I don't have a good enough computer for that.

Yes I do

though this has same chipset, porting is practicalli impossible as the resolution is 720..
and resolution and screensize are important for a ported rom to work..

lol! congrats on the mp4. im currently using ArrowOS. its my second favorite ROM behind AOSP-Extended. it has some good customizations and runs great. just do a full backup before testing and if you dont like it you could test others or just flash the stock backup. good luck, cheers!
