Mi5s Plus Rooting with locked bootloader may be possible[TESTING] - Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus Guides, News, & Discussion

I dont know yet, I will do further tests, but as I see, using a DFC cable, can manage the device entering to EDL MODE, in that mode you can flash the rom with a modified recovery, and you can have root, encriptation and locked bootloader.
Anyone will help me testing?

[Q] Xperia U won't go in recovery mode

Hello,
I have a Xperia U, and I found a nice ROM for it, MIUI. The problem is, that it needs to be in recovery mode. I tried all the ways to get there, but it keeps failing. I did it with ROM Manager, Quickboot and just via the buttons, but it keeps just booting normally. I know that my bootloader is not unlocked. Is it nessecary that it is unlocked, for it to go in recovery mode?

Usually these roms require unlocked bootloader. But sometimes developers manage making these roms for lock bootloader also
I just found the thread for miui based on locked and unlocked bootloader.

Okay, but now I have another problem... If I want to unlock its bootloader, it needs to be in fastboot mode or something. It will only turn the left led blue. Then I should install drivers. The problem is, that it won't stay in fastboot mode long enough for me to install the drivers. Am I doing something wrong??
Pls help me.

No mate. you are not doing something wrong. You have to be really fast. You can try another method too. Right click on computer and click properties. Open device manager. Now connect your phone on fastboot and when you see your device on device manager screen do the magic and install drivers.
This is the tutorial on how exactly unblock bootloader. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1527159.
Remember that unblocked bootloader means void warranty!

need help Nexus 6 on Bootloop, bootloader locked, unlock oem off, debug usb off

Hello im new here and i need help, my nexus 6 is on a bootloop after i tried to get it back to stock kernel, rom, and recovery mode. ive tried factory reset, and also deleting the cache but nothing, i've tried looking for instructions on how to flash the rom back in the nexus but all of them says to turn on usb debug and to also turn on unlock oem but i cant since its on a bootloop . i took it to att but they said they couldn't do anything and that their is possible aways to unlock bootloader without having to turn on usb debug and unlock oem
can someone please help me thank you in advance
Unfortunately, you appear to be out of luck. There isn't any way posted that would allow for unlocking of the bootloader to allow you to flash the factory img files without enabling it in the Developer Settings. Without that, you're stuck.
isn't there like a back door system where i can just throw in a recovery img or a rom so it can install it, or is it done as in impossible to do anything with it
Not without the bootloader being unlocked.
and there is no way to get bootloader unlock without debug usb so it completely impossible to fix it
well i'm done for , but thank you for the help

Mi A3 stuck on Fastboot and lost unlock bootloader after MiFlash's flash attempt

I have been experiencing MIUI on MI A3 for a long time, and I tried to go back to Android One because of drain battery. I attempted to flash in MiFlash. Obviously it succeed, it took about 700 seconds, and I obviously unlocked the device, but unfortunately, F*#k Xiaomi, when it rebooted, it went back to Fastboot logo, and it was even more confused when the device was LOCKED again. The unlock icon disappeared in Android One logo, when I checked on fastboot getvar all command, it said that the device wasnt unlocked. IT COMPLETELY LOST UNLOCK, AND I CANT DO ANYTHING. I CAN NOT BOOT TO THE ROM TO ENABLE OEM UNLOCK CUZ IT IS BRICK. I CAN NOT FLASH NEITHER TWRP NOR MIUI ROM NOR EVERYTHING CUZ BOOTLOADER IS GONE, THE PHONE CAN NOT REACH ANY COMMAND AND I CAN NOT FLASH THROUGH MIFLASH ANYMORE . Is there any solution for it, do I need to sell Mi A3 to exchange to iPhone 6s? SCREW MiFlash, everytime I flashed, it always gives a nightmare, rather than giving a hope. . Now I just need a solution to flash any possible rom without unlock bootloader, ANYTHING. Thank you, I will be appreciated.

I think that your current slot is b
Same situation here.
My fault reflashing stock android and locked in partition B.
Now only have a fastboot mode, but with locked bootloader i´m lost.
EDL mode bloqued by Xiaomi (Only verified account)
Xiaomi Flash tool formats your device & locks the bootloader by default (yeah, Xiaomi is stupid). You have to manually change this before you flash your device (the option is located at bottom-right side of the program). Since your device got locked, I'm afraid you won't be able to flash stock ROM with this tool anymore. And custom ROMs/TWRP won't work with locked bootloader. I think EDL is the only solution now.

NEED HELP: How to unbrick Meizu M8 (M813H) with condition locked bootloader + can't access recovery mode + can access fastboot only

My phone is Meizu M8 (M813H), I can't find it in this forum.
Currently is hard-brick, can only access the fastboot, the bootloader is locked, and can't access the recovery mode.
I've already trying to flash with SP Flash Tool and with python to bypass the bootloader protection with the firmware from https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...WMAB6BAgCEAI&usg=AOvVaw2jmJ0arcWHKicbU1rIyHdQ.
But the file image custom and devinfo is not verified, so the flash process stopped.
If I untick the custom and devinfo, flash process run smooth, but the issue persist, only can go-to fastboot mode.
Perhaps members of this forum can help me (or anyone else that facing same issue) to find a way to unbrick the phone.
Thanks in advance

PLEASE HELP! Phone stuck in bootloop, no usb debugging, not oem unlocked.

I have a redmi note 4 or 4x cant remember which exactly and its stuck in a bootloop. I open the phone in fastboot mode but my pc doesnt recognize it i think. The phone hasnt been oem unlocked and usb debugging isnt enabled from what i remember.
I would like to recover the photos that are inside the phone and dont really care about the other stuff. Preferably if i can recover the photos id flash a custom rom.
What are my options?
If your device doesn't have bootloader unlocked then I would recommend to go straight to the Xiaomi service. I don't remember how about older devices like Redmi Note 4, but usually unlocking bootloader results in wiping data
Use Mi Flash Pro - https://miflashpro.com/. And do the flash on the "Recovery" tab. All you will need is to download the ROM for "Recovery", not for OTA or Fastboot!
