Is EACHLINK H6 died? brick? - Android Stick & Console AllWinner based Computers

Hi,
I tried to root the device. I couldn't get past the opening screen. Digital clock and indicators in front was working. Then, I installed software that does not belong to the product and the situation has deteriorated. Now the opening screen is not coming. The digital clock or indicators in front do not work. When the device is connected to the computer, the computer is seeing the device as an unknown device. Do you think there's anything to do with this device?
I tried to install the software with the application called Phoneixusbpro. The setup is not completing, giving error after progressing up to 72%.

The device When connected to PC, device's name is "USB Device(VID_1f3a_PID_efe8)"
product features:
GPU: Mali-T720
System: Android 7.0
CPU: Allwinner H6
Core: Quad Core

So you’re saying it fails? Reboot your PC and try again. You can also try to run the Phoenix software as an administrator.

Yes .. I have manage to brick the box by installing last google play and store. On reset the box has all led up and logo on screen for indefinite time. I download image from the russian website and follow the instruction. I didn't have the usb/usb cable first, didn't know.
The box work even better now, in 4k 60k 10b is very very responsive, I did several tests and it seems that is't very sluggish if is not in native mode resolution. I install last google play and store thru luckypacker and everything works really really great after few tweaks like clean startup and cpu in performance mode.
The remote is dead on the other hand, and occasionally become unresponsive with many app working.

[Q] [Help] Bricked my ZTE V965

Bought a ZTE V965 because it was a special offer and I wanted to give android a try. Nice phone for the money, hardware wise, but software wise it needed some work. No google apps! I rooted the phone with vroot, worked fine. Installed SuperSU and CWM, seemed fine, but CWM is not fully functional. When I boot in restore mode, it doesnt mention CWM, it seems to be the native restore mode.
Tried to install google apps as APK's, but this didnt work. Play store closes instantly. Can't login chrome. Tried to install gapps.zip in recovery mode, error message, not working. I gave the phone a factory reset a few times during all this, and that worked fine.
Then I read a guide for manually installing gapps to the system app folder.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2428314
So I installed root explorer, and put several gapps files in the system app folder:
OneTime Initializer.apk
GoogleLoginService.apk
Google Services Framework.apk
Setup Wizard.apk
Gmail.apk
Still not working though, gmail app crashes.
So I wanted to factory reset again, to start with a blank canvas. Big mistake!!! After the factory reset, the google files are not removed! Now when I boot the phone the setup wizard starts and crashes. I haven't found a way to get around it. What makes things worse, the phone is no longer detected when connected to my PC. Before ADB toolkit would detect the phone, no problem. Now nothing.
Any ideas what I can do? All that is necessary (I expect) is that this setupwizard is killed/bypassed/whatever, but I can't figure out how to do it.
I can get into the emergency number dialer, maybe something is possible from there?
Well, as always, immediately after posting, I made some progress! I booted the phone, and got a low battery warning, from which I could access the settings and enable USB debugging. Now I have ADB toolkit connected again. Also, I went into application settings, to kill and disable all these gapps. I managed to do this for all but one, the biggest problem: setupwizard.apk. Maybe because it's running i can't disable it? The option is greyed out. So when I reboot, I still get the setup wizard that crashes.
However, I do have what i believe is a stock ROM (from a chinese website, hard to be sure, but the name suggests it). Might try to flash that one using adb-toolkit.
Finally managed to fix it using linux shell. Killed the setupwizard task, deleted all gapps from system/app, problem solved.
Still would very much like to have working Gapps though. Hopefully this phone will become more popular outside China, so more people will look into flashing it. I've tried, but I can't do it. No fastboot drivers, and the native flash method (putting update.zip on phoen storage) doesn't work. For now I'll stick with the stock ROM and just use it in it's very limited state.
chance you can put a link to that stock ROM you found?

Hello Byte_Me,
I've been looking for weeks how to get GApps on my ZTE V965 and tried everything I could, but each time with a different error. Today you made my day to let me know that I'm not the only one with this problem. Since no-one seems to use this device I wasn't able to find any working tutorial to fix Google Apps on this chinese android. I really hope you can tell me soon how you did this, so I can finally move on. Could you please send the link to your topic when you publish it? Thanks in advance and have a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEWYEAR!!!

sctrach that - just updated the buggy apps through the Google Play.
Woo-hoo!
Nice to hear that, it makes the phone a lot more usable, doesnt it?
Any problems? I am still not satisfied, but I guess it's a work in progress.
Annoyances:
- not recognizing callers, some incompatibilities caused by country prefixes in my address book
- no badge notifications on icons, makes it harder too see missed calls, have to look at status bar
- some other stuff i can't think of now

Tried reading through all the links, still can't get the light to turn green on mtk tools. V 965 is rooted by the Romjd app. Downloaded the rom rated 9.5. Installed the Vcom driver.
Can't load scatter files in sp flash tool..
Quite the noob at this stuff and guidance would be great. I did install ZTE driver when i connected the phone. Was that a mistake?

I never used SP flash tool.
Make sure phone is rooted.
Use MTK tools to install CWM zip package (just follow the instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44660171&postcount=417)
Boot into CWM and install google apps zip package.
I think USB debugging must be switched on in settings.

Sony C5 Ultra Firmware available 29.1.A.0.101 - Android 5.1

Just got the update from Wind in Canada. Still Android 5.1, don't know what's new.
Plzzz check any side effects on the camera quality.
most likely just the April security update
US Generic has update too.
I tried to flash the new firmware using flashtool. It gave errors and now the phone has been softbricked. I don't know what happened. Flashtool doesn't recognises the phone now and asks to install drivers for the device. I installed the drivers from sony's website but the issue persists.
Please help.

You need to press the "Vol -" on your phone before plugging it on the USB. Make sure you DIDN'T update the Flashtool to last version. You have to use the version 0.9.19.8 and before you flash, select the buffer size to 128K. I bricked my phone once and I could recover it.
I hope this revives your phone. Good luck!

Mine is rooted and update via OTA fail. Tried PC companion and updated successfully. As expected, root lost. Android security update is for Feb only. Cant tell any difference from the previous firmware.. softkey doesnt change either, annoying flicker is still there before playing a video if u had adjusted the colour manually .. Not sure if its a worthy "update".... going to try root again via kingroot.

I had to take it to sony service center, they didn't asked me many questions. I told them I was trying to update it using pc companion and it just went dead. They fixed the phone in 5 days and returned it. The funny thing is that I had unlocked its bootloader a long time ago so it should've been out of warranty, also, the IMEI numbers have changed and the drm keys and functions have been restored. Can't believe my luck...

Phone bricked without download mode

Long story short....in my efforts to flash the 10B TOT file, the flash tool got to 94% and started the phone reboot step, but the phone never rebooted thus the flash was a failure. When I tried to re-do the steps to flash the 10B TOT, I found out that I was no longer able to get into download mode. In my computer's device settings, when the phone is connected with a USB it now shows up as Qualcomm HS-USBQloader 9008. I looked up the threads about this problem and started the process of getting this fixed using the BoardDiag tool, but that process fails at the part where I attempt to run the AP and EMMC tests (gives me a message saying "Device was not found in DLOAD trying to install flasher). I have not found any practical fix for this error.
Am I completely screwed now, or is there a step somewhere I'm missing? I've been at this for 5 hours.

Just to make sure I was doing everything right, I installed the Qualcomm drivers with the test mode on for driver signing. My phone, when plugged into the computer, still shows up as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008. So it's my understanding that I don't need to do the steps which detail how I would need to break into my phone and use wires and solder. Based on everything I've read, I should be able to use the BoardDiag tool, but it keeps telling me in one fashion or another that it can't connect to the phone. Sometimes it will tell me "Check PMIC first and if still boot problem, replace AP", other times it will give me the same message I was getting originally saying "Device was not found in DLOAD trying to flash programmer".

I've attached a screenshot of what my BoardDiag screen looks like. I extracted the TOT files that the tool created to my bare C: drive because any time I tried to change the directory for the location of those files it would cause the program to crash.

Ok so when you plug in your phone to the computer does it say installing the qualcomm driver or does it just show up as the qualcomm in device manager. I had that when I bricked my phone and had to redo the wire trick. Once I did it the installing qualcomm drivers notice came up and I was able to run the boarddiag with not problem. If all else fails give the wire trick a try. Here's another similar guide that will help too. I turned off driver signing on computer bootup just for reference. http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-lg-g3/general/guide-fix-hard-brick-recovery-guide-t3132359

So the long story is that I was originally running 47A stock with root and TWRP recovery. I was having TERRIBLE battery life and it got to the point where I couldn't take it any more so I decided to flash a CM13 nightly. I was going to test the waters to see if I could use a systemless SuperSU version with CM13 so when I flashed CM13 I also flashed SuperSU 2.68 at the same time. It turns out that's a big no-no. So when I tried to reboot, I got the error message that the secure boot failed, or something to that effect. So after looking at posts on XDA I intended on doing the "revert to 10B from 47A" method with a TOT file and the flash tool. Everything with that was working great...it got to 94% complete and got the point in the process where the phone reboots, but when the phone left download mode it never came back and the flash tool never made a re-connection with the phone to complete the end of the process. From that point on, I could not even load into download mode, thus here I am.

Ok so I used the androidbrick tool in that link you sent me and the process seems to have gone through correctly. After re-installing my battery the phone booted to the LG screen, then showed the little android guy with a progress bar, but that screen didn''t last long before the phone rebooted again and this time after the LG screen I got a screen that said "miniOS" and following that came a blue screen with the words "Factory Reset Status" and a big red number 2. So that's where I'm at now and I'm going to look up info on that to see what I do next. If you have any experience with this step please let me know.
Boot into download mode Volume up and us lg flash tool and tot again. It should say 3 when successful.

Ok, this is where I was earlier today and when it got to about 94% complete and commanded the phone to reboot, the phone never came back to a state that allowed the flash tool to complete. I've seen some sites talk about having to hold the up volume button at a certain juncture around the time that it failed for me last time. Is there some trick to this?

It did it again! Phone got to 100% on the flash and the tool got to the restart command, but the phone never came back on after leaving the download mode from the reboot command. I even was holding the volume up like another website said when the reboot occurred. I also changed the setting from "Upload DL" to "Board DL" as suggested by others in various threads. The error I'm getting after the tool says it failed is "USB port open FAIL!"

Ok, we are back up and running! I went through all the steps again going all the way back to the androidbrick tool. This time when the phone boot into miniOS mode and was still on that animation, I hit the power button (something I saw on another post) and it took me to the AAT screen. I had seen a thread about this somewhere and followed those steps to have the phone reboot into the setup wizard and we are all good now! WHEW! The only thing that sucks is throughout this whole process I've lost well over 100 photos of my son . Oh well....I saved myself a few hundred bucks. Thanks for all of your help!!

I also wanted to add, I use the Mega cloud service app with 50 GB free. I have it configured to automatically back up my pictures and videos whenever I'm connected to WiFi. I save photos and videos to internal storage because it's faster and more reliable than Micro SD cards are.

JBL Link View Rom

Hi, I have one which was on Display, and is running in Full Retail mode. I have contacted JBL about doing a factory reset, but they said they come from the factory like that. I have opened it up, and it looks like a full working unit, and the board is labelled 40-SPARRO-MAD4G.
I tried holding either volume button down when starting, and when holding the right volume button down, the green android appeared with an error symbol.
Their is a Micro-USB port underneath marked service, but I have so far not been able to track any firmware updates/roms/images etc? I plugged it into a PC, and it said the driver was a
qualcomm HS-usb android diag 901d
I figure if I can't use it as a smart display, they'll make a great set of speakers.
Did you figure out how to use this in any way? I have a similar issue.

Not at all sorry. I was looking at trying to install Google Assistant on there, from scratch but it's beyond my expertise. I tried looking for a rom/firmware update, but nothing. If I had access to working one, I might be able to back up the rom onto a PC via the Micro-USB port.
Darn, alright. I ended up selling the thing. Got one from an auction, oh well, I will just buy a Nest Max
Hi. I have a same issue. It on Demo mode and I tried to factory reset but no hope. Does anyone have solution to change or flash Rom on this. Thanks
Fixed
I know how to fix this. But this requires firmware from the desktop. Need to make a backup from the desktop and download to the demo version.
And i know how to go into mode to download the firmware but i don't have it and i can't find it anywhere.

Well can you share what you have found? I too have a demo model of this display I would love to get working. If what you propose seems viable I'm willing to buy a retail model with the aim of pulling off the rom and returning it to the store later.

Just ordered one of these speakers. I will have a Brand new boxed set in about day or 2. Tell me how I can pull the rom off so I can share it on this thread.

This is the information I was sent via PM from andrukarc . No idea if it is correct or not.
here is a link on how to extract a backup
https://forum.xda-developers.com/gen...-root-t3570178
I can't do it because there is no place to buy in my country. JBL link View they are not supported in Ukraine and so they are not imported here, but I have a demo model and I would also like to revive it.
If so backup then we flash the device and it will become like a regular model.
I know how to go into firmware mode and solder for this program.
.
you made a backup?
anymore movement on this im curious how things are panning out

I tried to get dump from working device (I used metod from : -https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/rooting-roms/how-to-backup-qualcomm-phone-root-t3570178), but whithout result. Both devices are detected in the computer as HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (volume buttons + \ - when turned on). But in eMMC Software there is always error 0x80004005 when I try to switch device to download mode. If someone helps me solve this problem, I will receive the firmware and post it here.

I tried win7 and win10. No results.
Looking to help if I can, as I got this on an auction I didn't fully read. My brother does have a full retail version thou.
Today I accidentally erased the system partition via Fastboot. And now it doesn't show the demo clip. This means I need to load the system.img into it . But how to pull this partition from the working device - I don't know yet. I keep looking for a method. I think JBL use Snapdragon 625 APQ8053 and Android Things OS. If I could get developer mode I would use ADB to download system.img from working device
Thx for all your efforts so far!

Firmware for MXQ PRO 4k "H234_V2.2" "2017-04-08" S9O5X 6.0.1

Man, im pulling my hair out trying to get this box working again.
Short brief: I bricked it lol. But Ive got it to connect to the PC again via the shorting it out trick.
I've flashed a couple of different iso's to no success.
Which I mean, it completed 100%, but once disconnected, it wouldn't boot up.
I just cannot find the specific one for my MXQ Pro.
As I said, the specs are
S905X
6.0.1 Marshmallow
H234_V2.2
2017-04-08 is whats written on the mother board.
I'm trying to flash it using USB_Burning_Tool 2.0.7.2
Ive probably wasted 100gig in downloads so far trying to find firmware thats compatible. I'm just about ready to throw it in the bin.
As a last ditch effort, does anyone know where I can find compatible firmware for this thing?
cheers

well, the first link worked. It's booted up. Only problem is, the remote doesnt respond, it only allows me to push down. I installed the next one successfully too, but same problem. The remote only allows a down navigation. Pressing anything else won't work.
Keyboard and mouse respond just fine.
I've tried changing the remote files, even tried the Beelink one, but none of them are working.
I've tried two remotes, both doo the same thing.
The firmware is rooted.
One thing I'm seeing is a notification saying the SU binary needs updating. However the link I downloaded it from says not to, as it will cause a boot loop.
I'm wondering if perhaps when I opened the box and shorted it to read to usb burner, if maybe I damaged the reciever or something? However, when pressing buttons on the remote, pressing up does change the blue light to red on the box, so it is recieving something, just not doing what it should.
But pressing left or right does not change the light.
Edit. I've just discovered pressing up is actually being used as the return key, it backs out of apps.
None of the 4 files, or the Beelink file fix the issue.

Remotes still acting the same way.
Well, in one way I've resolved this, but without resolving the problem.
I can't fix the blue tooth standard remote problem. I think i may have screwed something up when I was short circuiting the mother board.
However, purchasing an android remote that uses a usb reciever does the trick. I bought one of thoseveral android keyboard remotes. It works perfectly fine, only issue is I can't power on and off with the remote. I have to pull the power out or switch it off and on by the wall.
However there is another remote with a power button, I presume it would be able to power on and off. I'll mention this incase in future anyone has this issue.

What file did you use to get your box working again? I believe I am in the same boat as you on this and could use a life raft. Trying alternate imgs for other boxes is where I am at, as all images I find for this box (aside from one labeled red and black) will not copy to the box and get stuck at 7%.
If you have any pointers at all I would love to see some life back in this box. All I wanted was to update to 7.1. Damn.....
