I desperately needed L1 support bro stream on Netflix. I was in Ressurection Remix . I flashed MiUI beta ROM successfully and I installed the L1 certificate , now Netflix is incompatible and Hotstar can't stream Premium content . What to do ?
Netflix doesn't stream HD currently and since I see that bootloader is unlocked, neither will amazon prime.
L1 requires a locked bootloader, and yes, even though the certificate is of L1, locked bootloader is needed to read the DRM keys.

Yes it's required on op6/6t and poco AFAIK. I've read people with pixel say that it works with unlocked bootloader for them but that's not the case with our phone.

Use a magisk module liboencrypto disabler and magisk hide for hotstar , it will stream premium content .

For running Gcam, the camera2api must be enabled. To do that, you need a rooted device. To root your device, you have to have your bootloader unlocked.
Right now, there's no support from Oppo/Realme regarding unlocking of bootloader.

I just flashed OxygenOS beta 10 + 9.5.23 vendor + vendor patch + magisk 19.2 on my Poco F1. Then it was surprising for me to see that Netflix was able to achieve 720p resolution on the Test Pattern video. Magisk Hide is not enabled for Netflix and the bootloader is still unlocked with Widevine L1 remaining intact.
Is there anyway to transfer this to MIUI by making Netflix recognize the phone as OnePlus 6T with modified build.prop or any other way?
I am reflashing MIUI back to the phone so I cannot provide any photo as proof right now.

Um I'm not sure what you asking but xiaomi released widevine l1 since 3 months ago.

Yeah, they released but Netflix has still not certified poco f1. So in their app, you will still see poco f1 as widevine l3 certified.

I know that. With Widevine L1 we can watch Amazon Prime Video in HD; however, since Netflix does not approve/whitelist our device as it already on the market, we can only watch NF in 540p. We used to be able to bypass that with a modded version of the app, but I tried and it no longer works now.
This was news for me
I thought since xiaomi did the update it would work but yeah I checked my Netflix and yupp L3 it says in app.

Hi, I'm currently using a poco f1 and having trouble playing Netflix HD since mine is using stock with Widevine L1. Can you tell me more about the flashing process to get that sinky smooth 720p like your?

You can find the rom in Telegram group @oos_beryllium.
With MIUI you can also try using Build Prop Editor (requires root) change values of 2 props as following so Netflix will recognize the phone as OnePlus 7 and enable HD:
ro.product.manufacturer=OnePlus
ro.product.model=GM1905
I'm not sure but doing this may affects camera app.

I tried the to use build prop editor with MIUI, rooted but it still gives error. so I flashed the newest oxygen 10.3.7 vendor + system... still only get 540p in netflix do you have any advises?

Try OP7 or OP7T port instead of OP6 port, I guess.

Ah my bad, I just checked again and even though NF show HD or even HDR is supported, it actually only streams at 540p.
It should be because the Widevine DRM for F1 was expired and Poco didn't bother to renew it. You can read about it in Telegram Official group for the phone.
Don't get trap into any kind of false research.. HD content is not playing in any Rom & with any props

yes it has Widevine L1, but as of now in india we are able to stream HD content over netflix only as amazon prime video has not yet white-listed the device, so we are restricted to 540p on prime video.

Thank you! So it will stay L1 on stock after bootloader unlocking and rooting, right? On custom ROM you could try to use hide props magisk module to change device fingerprint to pixel 2 for example.

I need help. Why is my widevine L3 instead of L1? I came from Android 10 stock then unlocked reflashed stock android 9 then relocked bootloader but still my widevine is L3

I'm on miui global Q latest and even though it says L1 inside drm info app. But it's still detected as L3 from inside the Netflix app and hence the quality is restricted to SD only.
So is there any way to get L1? I'm rooted and willing to change rom but I would prefer if some solution was available for miui stable.

It's not working on this rom
I received the buggy OTA update of Android 10 on My Device... Later i Downgraded to Android 9 using Official Stock Rom Flash Image.
Since then, none of my sensors are working.. They are not even detected using the *#*#6484#*#* menu...
How can i solve this issue???

online streaming service like Netflix need L1 certification tto play video in HD if L3 you have to stick with the SD quality(below HD)
