I noticed the Note 7 Pro has no available custom kernels at the moment. The Note 7 though, has lots. Hope someone here could port them for our devices!
First of all, this subforum is for kernels and ROMs MADE for our device. You shouldn't post requests here.
Second, there ARE custom kernels made for violet but unfortunately they only share their works on Telegram.
Here is one of Telegram channels that provide infomation about ROMs and kernels:

I'm sad that they don't post their works here. I don't have a Telegram account and don't want to register one.

You should, not many people want to share their work on xda because of how slow and cluttered it is.

I'm a Chinese and Telegram is blocked here. I do have proxies but that makes it slower for me to use Telegram than xda

Thanks for your great work for our device but I would appriciate more if you can kindly provide a mirror for us who don't use Telegram. Google Drive or Mega are just fine for me, but places like GitHub releases, SourceForge or AndroidFileHost are just better.

I've just read on one of the MIUI dev's weibo page (kind of Facebook for chinese people, for those who do not know it), that they started working on the Nexus 5 port, and expect maybe 2 month of work to get it stable.

I should have thought if that. Someone beat me to it. On another post I saw that are saying a month to release. With the removal of the update from their site. I assume they are tweaking it. Good idea I guess. So Tom gets a good working start. Thanks for pointing that out. Next time I will be sure to post the needed info.

For Project Treble to work on our device Xioami has to make the device compliant by rewriting the code completely by separating the framework and the hardware code.
And it will never happen for our device as it's too old already, it might not even receive Oreo which is needed for Project Treble to even work.
And Oreo is not guarantee that Project Treble will work, for example One Plus 5T received Oreo update and is not compliant with Project Treble.
So before you post crap learn about the subject first because obviously you dont understand what Project Treble is if you want to "port" it. *insert random facepalm*
only happens if xiaomi releases ota with partitions...that is never going to happen.....
