Bootloader doesn't change even after unlock - Redmi Note 9S / Note 9 Pro (Indian Model) Question

I am on Joyeuse (Redmi Pro 9 Global latest version).
I waited 7 days and unlocked the bootloader.
I then updated the rom to the latest version V11.0.2.0.QJZMIXM, as mine was V11.0.1.0.QJZMIXM. I performed this via fastboot https://c.mi.com/oc/miuidownload/detail?guide=2
This came up as successful through the MiFlash.
I started the device and went into settings. Developer settings indicates Unlocked, and the bootup screen shows the unlocked logo at the top. Therefore, it must still be unlocked.
However, when I attempt to enter Bootloader (Volume up + Power on), it enters the default Recovery Mode indicating 3 options: Reboot, Erase Data, Connect with Mi Assistant.
I am not sure if I missed a step or something went wrong when updating via MiFlash.
- EDIT: fixed. mods can delete this post

Redmi note 3 snapdragon bricked

Hello,
i have redmi note 3 snapdragon variant. i had installed cyanogen mod 13 kenzo in my phone. for some reason i wnanted to get back to the stock version. so i flashed stock rom from twrp which resulted in boot loop.
i tried flashing rom again from mi flash in edl mode. but it still wont boot. mi logo comes and then power off. what can i do? please help.
I did the same thing I flashed MIUI from TWRP when using cyanogen mod ROM. But when I clicked on reboot to system after flashing the ROM which showed "done" it warned saying there is no OS to boot to and stayed at Mi logo. Thankfully I backed up the previous ROM before starting the procedure so, I went to recovery(TWRP) vol up+ pwr and had reset the phone and flashed that backed up file. It worked. So, my advise is try to go in to recovery re-flash any backed up file or any custom ROM.
check ur bl status bro
It's happened with me many times ...there is a no big issue I guess , just check if ur bl status is unlock or not ..I guess ur bootloader must be locked that's why this is happening to check just put ur phn is fastboot mode connect usb cable n type in adb n fastboot command
Fastboot devices
Then
Fastboot device oem-info
. If locked unlock it using mi unlock tool

Help rooting ASUS Zenfone Selfie 2

Hello guys.
I need help on rooting my Asus Zenfone Selfie (ZD551KL). I have followed this tutorial:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/root-asus-zenfone-selfie-zd551kl-z00t-t3443595
I came across 2 problems. First problem is regarding the oficial ASUS bootloader unlocker tool. My phone came with Android 6 installed. I first tried to install the app on Android 6 and the app crashed. So after searching I discovered this tool is for Android 5.
So I downgraded to Firmware UL-Z00T-WW-51.15.40.1582-user (Android 5). Then I installed the unlocker app (UnlockApp_1211_ZD551KL), now the app did not crash. It did open, i clicked on agree, then I pressed the blue button to unlock device.
It asked me something about device PIN (you did not insert PIN to verify device, are you sure want to unlock).
I click ok then it reboots. However the ASUS logo screen did not change to white. I have adb installed (and fastboot tools), so whenever i check fastboot oem device-info it shows that my phone is still locked. It`s like the unlocker tool does not work.
Second problem is when flashing TWRP Recovery. I downloaded the last twrp from official site (https://dl.twrp.me/Z00T/), and I was able to successfully flash it:
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
According to twrp site, I typed fastboot reboot but before clicking on enter it says you need to hold the key combo to enter recovery mode (which in my phone is volume down + power). So I do this, however, it keeps looping and blinking on ASUS logo, I stay more then 15 minutes but it does not do nothing. I then released the power and kept holding only volume down. Same thing, just stuck on ASUS Logo.
So then I release all and it boots normal to Android.
So my 2 problems are: unlocker tool is not working and I can`t enter twrp recovery even after successfully flashed it.
Please help me guys!!!
No one has any ideas? I tried this method:
asus-zenfone.com 2015 05 one-click-root-for-zenfone-series.html
But this did not work. My phone continues as it is, no root access no bootloader unlocked.
Please anyone can help me?

Hardbricked while trying to relock bootloader

Since i was recieving less SOT (4-3 hours on light usage) on my mido even after flashing the stock rom (xiaomi.eu rom), i decided to replace the battery at an authorised mi service centre. They said they wont accept unlocked mi devices. So i decided to relock the bootloader. Heres what i did, (im using orange fox recovery)
1 . wiped system, data, cache, dalvik cache
2. formatted internal storage
3.flashed stock rom (from the official site stable version)
4.flashed the lazyflasher zip
then after finishing the initial setup of rom, i went to recovery and flashed the stock recovery.
then in fastboot mode I ran the script " fastboot oem lock" to lock the bootloader. But after rebooting, mi logo blinks for a second or two and shows a black screen.
I checked the bootloader status and it says locked (device unlocked : false). I tried the testpoint method and the DFC method but pc dont detect my device and i cant find the qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008 in device manager. No matter how hard i try i cant get my pc to detect my phone in both the methods. Also when i try to get into edl mode (by shotting the first and 4th contact points located above the battery) i can hear windows 10 sound of detecting a device but nothing appears in the device manager. Im sure i have all the drivers installed and i really dont know what im doing wrong here. Is there any other way to unbrick my device?
Try detect your phone by using latest mi flasher. (Download and install it first). If your device's blink red, i sign if it in EDL mode. I dont know what happen to your device actually, because i never try to relock my mi phones using ''fastboot oem lock". I use mi flasher to relock my phone by clicking ''flash and relock" on Mi flasher. Try mi flash first, then comment here again if it fails.
aah i didnt know testpoint method requires battery plugged in, silly me. This time pc detected my phone (testpoint) and as per your suggestion i tried miflasher and it worked (yaay). thanks for helping me out here...
didnt xiaomi removed edl mode from RN4 due to security reasons??
Can anyone help me with this???
My OEM unlocking option gets unselected on its own even after my phone is unlocked. I have rn4 SD variant.

Mi Unlock status stuck, keeps saying "Connect to network and try again" while net is

Mi Unlock status stuck, keeps saying "Connect to network and try again" while net is
I'm trying to activate Mi unlock status on my old redmi3 so I can unlock the bootloader using their tool, but every time I press the button it 1st says "Preparing to add account and device.." then near instantly " Connect to network and try again" (and if I try with no net then the 1st message doesn't show). The phone is tied to the Mi account, I know for sure since now every time I reinstall the ROMs it tells me is tied and I need to enter the Mi account password, its only Mi unlock status the doesn't and keeps the Mi unlocker from unlocking my bootloader.
Backstory:
So I have a redmi3 (ido) with android 5.1.1 bought in 2016, finally decided to try and update my phone from the ****ty vendor ROM (MIUI 6.9...smt) that had the updater bugged (the app couldn't also connect to net to check) and Mi unlock status missing, flashed MIUI 9.6.2.0 from the official site using their tool which fixed the updater (but now I can't downgrade) and now has Mi unlock but as I said it doesn't work.
What I tried so far:
-Log off Mi account and log in through the Mi unlock status (also tried using phone number as id)
-Change location to China or Indonesia then try again (tried both)
-Make sure the phone is the only device tied to the Mi account
-Enable "Find device" then use it to locate the phone (it was very accurate)
-try while having only Wi-fi or while having only mobile data on (tried both)
Here is some more info of the phone:
MIUI version: MIUI Global | Stable 9.6.2.0(LAIMIFD) (can also flash 9.6.1.0)
Android version: 5.1.1 LMY47V
Android security patch level: 2017-01-01
Baseband version: FAAANUZM-1.56482.1.63385.1_V013
Kernel version: 3.10.49.perf-g13b30f1
It also lets me enter in fastboot and EDL mode.
I had the same problem recently, after many tries I succeeded unlock bootloader.
Step by step guide:
1. Download xiaomitool and install.
2. Reboot phone to recovery.
3. In recovery menu choose Mi assistant, and connect to PC through USB.
4. Run xiaomitool and choose "My device is bricked and i want to unbrick it" and continue.
5. Xiaomitool will download chinese rom, this may take a while.
6. When its finish, in xiaomitool you can see message to set usb debugging, NOW you must power off phone, and enter to recovery again and select Mi assistant, like in step 2, and connect phone to pc throught USB, if you dont see this message xiaomitool should run next step.
7. Now Xiaomitool install chines rom, after reboot log into you account, unblock developer mode and click on mi unlock status when your wi fi is disable and mobile data is on.
9. Now unlock phone with mi Unlock.
10. AND DONE!!!!!

Buddy I'm the one you talked with on the Mi community forum so you already helped me : D
Only reason these are still up is that I couldn't find a delete button here : )) . Appreciate trying to help others in our similar situation tho
I am facing the same issue. The version of the ROM is exactly the same as the InowHateXiaomi's.
However, the method above doesn't seem to work. The XiaoMiTool V2 doesn't download the Chinese ROM.
I tried whatnot but cannot add the device to my account so that I can unlock it.
have tried this method..it tries to download the ROM but failed. dunno what wrong with my devices anymore.
Have you tried to
- install adb and fastboot;
- enter fastboot mode and fastboot oem unlock to unlock bootloader first?
it is not working, toker error or something...

Same here, where to report this problem?
change Your region to asia close to china or china, and then register once again using vpn set as You were in asia - then it should be ok, no waiting for old phones, I noticed they are blocking central EU or even west but asia is treated differently
i use this method but still dont solve anything, its say missing coockies or anything

Unavailable Phone calls and Wi-fi after failed flashing and multiple factory resets

Info:
Xiaomi Redmi 9 Pro EEA (I think)
Model: M2003J6A1G
MIUI version: MIUI Global 12.5.4.0 (RJWMIXM) Stable
Android version: 11 RKQ.200826.002
I used the command line while trying to flash my ROMs.
Attached the last ROM I flashed.
First I tried to root my xiaomi, enabled debug usb, unblocked OEM and put phone in fastboot, connected the phone to the pc and unlocked it with the official program, downloaded some random sdk tools, picked a ROM "Redmi 9 S Global" and tried to modify it with magisk, then I flashed my phone with the modified ROM, I noticed it was the wrong ROM only after a fastboot bootloop, so I flashed the correct Redmi 9 Pro EEA ROM and used recovery mode to do a factory reset "Wipe Data", it entered a screen that stated "Your device is locked" followed by two buttons, one for putting my mi account password, the other for connecting to wi-fi, but it was set to airplane mode and I couldn't press anything other that the switch to activate wi-fi that didn't work, I then did a second factory reset and 4G started working, so i could unlock my phone, after booting everything up I see that every time I attempt to do a phonecall my phone immediatly terminates it, and my wi-fi doesn't activate, not recognizing any network and shutting itself off when exiting the Wi-fi setting screen.
I did a third factory reset but not from recovery mode, from the settings menu, it didn't change anything.
My phone is now unlocked but not working properly.
What can I do to fix this issues and possibly root my phone more safely without transforming it into a brick?
