I dont think so because a lot of peoples cant unlock some having network error msg on the tool and some fail ro unlock even the phone restarts . I think it has some issues with asus unlock tool or servers or maybe they dont allow it for the moment even they provide the tool

Can't unlock bootloader

No Huawei site links are reachable.
DC Unlocker doesn't seem to recognise the modem/phone.
Even if it did, paying seems weird to me.
How/where did you guys unlock your bootloader?

Root done !! with DC Unlocker but you must pay 4 €.. i've rooted the P20 lite into 10 minutes
Guide: download the ultimate versione of the tool
Set Manifacturer to Huawei Phone
re detection Huawei Android phones, enable 'Manufacture' mode:
in dial pad type *#*#2846579#*#* for Qualcomm and Kirin based models and set into Background/Usb ports setting Manifacture mode
Auto detect Model ( just download drive from here : https://www.dc-unlocker.com/huawei_phones_detect_unlock_tutorials ) you need it for the ports usb check
Buy the 4 credit and login in the app with your DC user & pass. now read the bootloader code and save it... done!
Just follow the root guide in this forum to unlock the bootloader with the code.

Currently Huawei's bootloader unlock website is down.
You are able to request unlock codes via this Google Doc: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeGwoQ44zqykuTfjCQrVP07JOHBYnBcAxAbz9SAVxPTFqMh9g/viewform
More info here: https://www.xda-developers.com/honor-huawei-bootloader-unlock-page-disappears/
Hope it helps.
EDIT: it seems the Google Doc is no longer available. Let's hope they open it again, or better, get the website up and running. *bump*

Turkey is an European country my brother, so perhaps when you contact Huawei in Europe they send it to a costumer support in some country. It also happened to me once, got a reply from Huawei France (and they solved my problem)

Where did you talk to them? They rejected me.
Also, what were you waiting for? They'll always say it will void your warranty.
Unless it's not a software issue, they have to take the phone and repair without asking for money.

I've talked with Huawei Customer Service (Hungary) by phone , with their call center, they told me anything happens, even if its hardware releated, its just voids the guarantee, so only paid fixing will be avaiable ...
They gave me an e-mail address, i need to fill a form, and they gonna send me the code.

I'm currently in process of unlocking it.
EU law especially specifies it to be repaired, even the bootloader is unlocked and/or the end-user has root access.
Huawei may talk like that, but that's because they're a Chinese brand. Of course they won't want you to change the firmware.
Samsung talks like that too (when KNOX is tripped after flashing custom firmware via Odin). They repair it.

Can I Flash Z5C SO-02H with E5823 Stock ROM?

Hey guys, first of all , sorry for my bad english.
I Have a Sony Z5 Compact Japanese version (SO-02H) with Nougat 7.0 operating system
I wonder if i could flash this version with the global E5823 firmware. Is it possible?
And if i could successfully flash the firmware, what will go wrong?
really need your help..
Thanks for your concern
I haven't had much experience with the Z5 Compact, but in the past I've flashed the Japanese Z1 Compact (SO-02F) with firmwares from other regions and it worked just fine. I never got NFC working but I'm not sure if that was a firmware issues or just a problem with that phone in general.

Me too, I bought it yesterday, because in Indonesia the price is so affordable (only Rp 750.000 = USD 51,85 ). I just update it to Nougat, but wondering if I can flash it to Global rom. I have checked several source in here, but most of 'em said error.

Out of curiosity, what were the errors? Was it from newflasher at the beginning when checking that the device matched? Or was it actually during flashing one of the .sin files?
The former is possible to work around - I've seen the same thing when trying to flash E5823 <-> E5803 firmwares. The latter I'm not certain about...

I bought my Xperia Z5 Compact last year. It's one of those for which NFC cannot be turned on. It had come with an outdated E5823 firmware. After testing some custom ROMs, I ended up updating it to a stock E5823 Nougat ROM (obviously rooted through the stable Magisk v20.4). Nevertheless, after checking my Xperia account, I've found out that its IMEI number actually belongs to a SO-02H model. So, go figure!

If your bootloader is unlocked, download the stable Magisk v20.4 zip file and install it through a custom recovery (usually TWRP), either directly or via adb sideload.

Dial *#*#7378423#*#* and check under configuration if bootloader unlock allowed=yes. You can switch the firmware from Docomo to a 5823 (or 5803) variant. You need to edit an .xml file to do so prior to bundling the .ftf while xperifirm is still open after downloading it.

@gayungan
Yes, you can still change your firmware with an official generic rom from other regions (ie 5823 or 5803). You may loose functionality of NFC, but that's about it; your IMEI will not be touched (nor will your radio bands) , it will also not change your bootloader lock status.

[GUIDE] XiaoMiTool.V2 Flashing EEA/RU/CN or Global with locked Bootloader

XiaoMiTool.V2
Hi All !
I saw some posts regarding how to flash or switch to an official stock rom without being unlocked but afaik the whole procedure wasn't fully explained yet
Therefore I'll upload some self explanatory pictures but to be honest it is all fairly easy. So do follow the procedure down below.
Follow this video ( russian )
NOTE : DO USE THIS TOOL AT YOUR OWN RISK and DO MAKE A BACKUP OF ALL YOUR DATA ( because it'll be wiped ! )
1. download the Tool and go to the website thnx @franztesca - info - give this guy some credits
2. run the program and finish the installation

3. agree the disclaimer
4. choose between a normally running device or a bricked one (ouch )
5. if you see this image you'll have to enable USB debugging
6. your device is being found
7. collecting device information
8. choose the 3rd option
9. check the official xiaomi rom ( don't choose the other options because you'll need to be unlocked )
10. it will collect info again
11. choose your desired version and continue to agree on both next stages
12. enter into your MI-account (if needed again)
13. firmware is being downloaded
14. again press the 3rd option in recovery mode
15. it will push the downloaded file over adb
16. installing the rom file...
17. FINISHED !

You can use this tool as any other tool. And as any other tool there're certain risks using it. But following the automatic procedures correctly - and they're easy - it'll guide you to the roms that can be flashed on your locked/unlocked device.
Read more HERE.
Always do take a full backup of all your data. Remember/write down the version you're on before flashing, just in case.

I'm curious about that too.
My bootloader unlock period was extended by 3 days but I don't think that had anything to do with using the tool because owners on the Xiaomi site reported similar experiences.
Hi guys..
Just want to tell you about my experience with this fine tool..
BUT, beware.....
make sure that before you start tampering with your ( Chinese bought / Chinese ROM "filled" phone ) bind it with your MI account / unlock account.
at least thats how i got my soft-bricked phone back to live.
i bought a MI9 in China with the MIUI 10.2 Stable 10.2.11.0(PFACNXM)
i can flash any of the official ROMS for the device using XiaoMiTool.V2.... BUT, i can only lock the bootloader again if i use either Stable China rom or Developer China rom.
so, guys, be careful before you tamper with your Chinese bought phone ( if you want to keep bootloader locked )
Hi
Can i use the tool to change from EEA to china stable with a lock bootloader?
The option to flash a custom ROM doesn't work properly with the MI 9 if you have the stock recovery because it uses the fastboot command to reboot to recovery after flashing TWRP. That command boots the MI 9 into the stock recovery and the tool can't do anything after that.
It does work better for switching official MIUI versions while the bootloader is still locked.

No. You would need an unlocked bootloader to switch between any of the global ROMs and the China ROM or vice versa.

That's what I thought. It doesn't make sense to have two global versions (EU and Global) that the user can't change between them while their box are identical so the user wouldn't really know which version he has until he he finds the MIUI info inside the phone. My Mi9 is the EU version but the box says Global.

Important message for the owners of "Global" Redmi K20 Pro

Hey,
I noticed that a lot of people are buying a "global" version of Redmi K20 Pro from Chinese sellers. Such a device comes with pre-installed global ROM with many languages.... but ATTENTION, for now there is no such thing as Global ROM! Chinese sellers unlock the bootloader with their dev account, then they install the remade global rom (most likely coming from non-original sources). One day when the official global ROM comes out, the OTA update will make a brick from the phone (because bootloader will most likely lock or simply the software files will not match).
When the bootloader is blocked, the device must have the same software as it came out of the factory, currently only China ROM. In a few days, the Indian version of Redmi K20 Pro with a different code name - raphaelin - will have premiere. Currently, when you check the fingerprint / code name of your Redmi K20 Pro with fake Global ROM (called trashMIUI) it will turn out that it is raphaelin instead of raphael... This already shows that something is wrong because raphaelin has will be presented in India on July 17.
My advice? If you have a global rom installed on Redmi K20 Pro, first install TWRP and Xiaomi.eu ROM, then stay on it until real global rom will be available! And REMEMBER, never lock your bootloader! If you will do it, the only way to fix it will be flash China ROM using test points.
It is also unknown whether the global rom from the Indian version of the Redmi K20 Pro will be able to be installed on the current Chinese version (there will be different code names).

I've tried them all so far and imo the best features and performance are found at this website. http://portal.mi-room.ru/roms/
Those Russians really know how to fix miui. You can even disable all the remaining useless miui apps right in the apps own info settings menu, so you don't need root or ADB.

Yes, you can do it, but...
Xiaomi.eu is China ROM with installed Google services, with multi-languages and it is debloated
I bought a Global ROM k20 pro before I figuring it wasn't an official ROM
If they opened the bootloader with a dev account. Is this different methode than with the Mi- account unlocking they tell buyers to do? If it isn't would it be possible to link the device to a different account?

So in theory I could flash a Xiaomi.eu ROM and re-lock bootloader, not gonna re-lock bootloader I know it's ill adviced but it's possible with those ROMs?
If you boot up the phone, on splash screen, you see the unlock label, that's great, just install twrp and enjoy any rom that you like. Luckily, you've got a pre-unlock device.
If not, I'll be sorry for that, locked bootloader and custom rom, you just can stay with that bad rom, only the qcom 9008 way can flash with locked bootloader.
I bought the normal China version, I have a question, can I fastboot flash India version rom on my China version phone?

Actually if you get a locked you just have to go through the Xiaomi unlocking process which takes a few days to a week. The bootloader is not permanently locked.

Yes I'm aware of this but I've read instances where people their device was still linked to the retailers MI-account therefore unable to unlock their bootloader that way. Mine will be delivered in 4 days but that's what concerns me the most.

How do you know that? First, India version will be available AFTER 17 July. India version will have different code name (raphaelin) than China version (raphael). Do you install software from Mi 9 on Redmi K20 Pro? Same components, BUT a different code name.

This is a slightly different method because they do not have to wait a week as opposed to an ordinary user. Of course, you can connect your Mi account with the device, but you must allow OEM unlock in the developer settings. Locking a bootloader is not really a good idea. And no, on xiaomi.eu never lock the bootloader. For example, an unlocked bootloader is needed because OTA updates are automatically installed via TWRP. Unlocked bootloader is useful, see what happened to Mi 9SE users - their system displayed a notification that it is destroyed, but thanks to an unlocked bootloader and TWRP you can install everything you want, fix Google Pay, remove MIUI ads, remove junk from the system etc.

This is not the first time and it will not be last!
Why do you make things so hard?
Both the phone china & India have raphael code name! and there's the ability to install the Global Rom for the Chinese version
I've been using Xiaomi for over 8 years, and it's so ridiculous and funny that you've raised it!

I used MIUI before Xiaomi was created, and Android since version 1.6. Easy, I know what I'm talking about.
https://www.xda-developers.com/redmi-k20-pro-xiaomi-mi-9t-pro-india-china/
India version is raphaelin, china version is raphael and global in September will be raphael! This is the same situation like Redmi 6 Pro.
guys quick research led me to this post:

its a bit more involved flashing india rom to chinese phone. but it is possible.

There is no need for open gapps. The stock Chinese ROM has Google services already installed. Go to the Mi app store and search for Google. You'll probably not see anything straight away, but will get a pop-up message in Chinese. Click the right button and it will bring up a lot of Google apps, including the Play Store.

time to flash everything...
i just flashed twrp magisk and the rom. rebooted, it took a bit long... i thought i bricked it. but then, tada, everything the same but i had root. there was no reset involved seems the rom is a xiaomi eu rom...
And what if the ofiicial global version never comes out (wich is the most likely option)? What will then be with global ROM users. I ordered Global ROM and really would like someone to make video on youtube or explain steps for installing TWRP and Xiaomi.eu ROM, or what is the best option for us Global ROM users to get most out of phone... Thanks in advance

If you took the time to look through the K20 Pro forums, there are guides already. This is just a few threads below this one.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/k2...-xiaomi-eu-rom-fix-gpay-t3946342/post79859363
The clue is in the title.
Your phone will probably have an unlocked bootloader, so you can ignore the first part of the guide and move straight on to installing TWRP.
You haven't mentioned GPay either, so you can also ignore the last part of the guide.

P30 Pro India EMUI 10

So, its been more than a month EU devices were released with EMUI 10, in India However the situation is different. 1st of all I tried to flash EU firmware and my device got locked out saying "your device has flashed incorrect firmware" after that I have been to huawei service about 10 times and after a month, I got the device in working condition with replaced firmware. A quick question though, despite being such good phone, they are spoiling it with localization. Is there any way I can rebrand my phone from C675 to C431? It seems this is the only way. Looking forward to replies from experts. I would like to add that Huawei service have no clue when EMUI 10 will be hitting the devices in India, that's a sad state of affairs here in India.

Hi, I got it from Huawei Center in Pune, they flashed 9.1.0.118 and asked me to stay on that version for 1 month, I ignored their instruction and flashed 9.1.0.194 via the e-recovery. But then that's about it.

Downgrade is not possible, even if you downgrade it won't let the phone boot up. I am sure I am on different board.

Hey Guys, I am having similar issues.. the last update I had was 9.1.0.194 via e-recovery a couple of days ago. I had logged a ticket with Huawei support about a month ago and was constantly following up. I just got a call from one of their engineers a few min ago. He mentioned that you need to be on 9.1.0.242 before the phone updates to Android Q (Version 10.x.x.x). He advised me to check on eRecovery again.
I just checked and 9.1.0.242 (around 4.2 GB) is now available on eRecovery and is currently downloading on my phone. Will post an update after it finishes installing and if I see the update to Android Q after that..
Fingers crossed and Cheers !
As an update, no more updates after 9.1.0.242 : /
Tried System update, HiCare, HiSuite and eRecovery.
eRecovery just downloads 9.1.0.242 again..
Will post here if I get an update..
What I have observed is when I use mobile data it shows emui 10 update available. But when im on wifi which is different ISP it says emui 9 is the latest.
