just tried it. You CAN install PU version on European phone but the option to update to beta software is NOT THERE

How can I update my Huawei honor 5X to the latest software (marshmallow). Usually I went to setting and open updater but when I tap "Check for updates" it says "No updates" though I have old an version.
Here are a few details which I found in "About phone" in settings menu.

The method to do a forced manual update has been posted many times on this site. Please do a search of this site first. Download the APP from Honor website, create a folder named dload on your sdcard. Rename the downloaded APP file to update. app and place it in the dload folder. Now go to Updater and do an update from local source or force the update by using the dialer and dialing *#*#2846579#*#*. However, using the latter version will wipe out your data.

But is there even an official Marshmallow update for this model KIW-UL00?
OP, what regional variant is that?
I believe that this is the Chinese variant. It supports TD-LTE and different bands than US model. I would suggest contacting the Chinese Honor site regarding update.

Yeah, I believe you are correct. I found that variant on the Chinese website. It doesn't appear the Marshmallow update is available though.

The Honor 5X update to Marshmallow is a staged roll out, meaning not everybody gets it at once. We send out the updates in daily batches. The selection of customers who get the update is random. Open the HiCare app (Download form playstore if you don't have it yet, open it and select 'OS Upgrade Early Adopters'. Might work.

I owned my Oppo Find X some months ago. Through a webshop in switzerland.
It was titled as Oppo Find X 128GB Global. I payed like 200$ more for that global version.
As I unpacked it, I saw that there was a transparent case inside, just like in the Chinese Versions. According to my information, i thought the global version has no case supplied.
And also the american standard of the charger was inside and a little adapter for europe.
I started the phone and saw the casual Google setup, same like every other Android. Everything was working, Google Assistant, Google Play so I didn't thought about global or not. There were just 2 chinese Apps installed (some Social Network), I deleted them.
Some days later I noticed, that I'm not receiving Notifications from all apps. So I wanted to add some apps more for background activity (as I had read the global version should support 9 apps at once) but after 5 it told me with a message that there could only be set 5 apps.
I started reading more threads about it and saw that there is an CPH1871EX version (europe?) which should be the global version and mine looks like to be the taiwan version. I was also stuck on ColorOS v5.1 and there was no update shown on v5.2 until yesterday where I used a VPN to connect to taiwan, then I received the v5.2.
So my question, have I been fooled? Did I got an chinese Version with installed google apps?
Do I have now to connect to taiwan, everytime I want to check for an OS update?
Is there a way to switch to EX, does it even matter?
What does the A.12 on the end mean, and why didn't I got directly the A29(which is the newest I think)
Oh and a total different question, do we know if every Find X will get ColorOS 6, or just chinese?

Hi. I have CPH1875, when we will have Pie?
I do think you got the global version but it was specific to Taiwan for some reason. I have the Australian version and it came with a case so I don't think that's an issue. I also have the 5 startup app limit. CPH1875EX.

On my version, with last update, the lockable apps in recent app are 7. Autostart app were already 9, idk now if the number is still 9 or more, can't try.

I am currently working on flashing EU firmware for RVL-AL09. I only found CN firmwares for now. I will add as much as possible to this thread.
While EU version started to shipped on EU from 21st of March I am sure soon we will have firmwares available shortly.

There will never be EU firmware for the Honor Note 10.
Honor Note 10 is only for Chinese Market.

I need help with the offline pie update
Am failing to get the pie update on my honor note 10. Am john from Uganda and +256793981353 is my whatsapp number while [email protected] is my email.
Was thinking of the offline update instead of OTA however risky it is.. I have never tried it either. Please advise accordingly

Are the global/row versions officially released by Lenovo? Or are they released by a third-party? This is just a security concern.

If the CN version has full english support then I guess I wouldn't mind using that one, but if there's an official RoW version then I'll get that one instead.
Is the Lenovo app the only official source for ROMs? It can be downloaded by selecting whatever model... I don't think they have different apps...

i have got a oneplus 7t pro HD1910 Which is chinese version. here in my region merchants sell the phone already converted to global without interference from the user. the user just goes to the shop and buys the chineese version already globally unlocked out of the box. Here is the problem. my phone has the indian software out of the box and i received an OTA update 10.3.0. and i dont know why iam having 10.3.0 which is indian. i want to convert my phone to EU Version specially that iam having some bugs in the software that i think the indian frimware that my phone has is the problem. iam confused about the version numbers because the latest EU version is 10.0.5 and my indian frimware has 10.3.0 which is higher? is the downgrade possible? and if yes anyone has the OTA link for me to install?
