??? GCam for Samsung M31 ??? - Samsung Galaxy M31 Themes, Apps, and Mods

I tried many versions of gcam for my M31, but any of them will work. Most i fund are even unable to install...

this device is exynos, which means that it will take a long time to find a recent and functional GCam, only the old ones work better, if you want a recent and stable GCam, buy a snapdragon device.
only one so far works well according to my tests:

Ok, thanks. This one works. Not much settings but it's stable

[mido][OV] GCam without crash in bright light?

Hello everyone. Unfortunately I got the Omnivision sensor in my mido and I'm facing with problems on GCam. There's many, many threads about it, but all of 'em are from January/February. Now it's end of May so I would like to ask, are there any news about it?
I'm on latest MiracleDroid based on Oreo 8.1 and the only GCam is working properly in very bright light is GCam5.1.014-Arnova8G2-v10.2-Test-8-mido-Omnivision-sensors.apk which was posted in 2017.
I also tried flashing "mido-7.12.28-camera-blobs.zip"
Maybe I'm just dumb and cannot find anything newer for daily camera?
If you know any newer port working on Oreo mido OV, I would be so glad. I tried so many cams posted here: http://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/
All I tried have problems on mido OV. Maybe there are some new libs, I haven't found
The ROM I use features kernel fixes: https://github.com/MiracleDROID/and...mmit/d8475c985a4b1a90dabe56a3cb277ebe674e12e0
Please help me, I know how great photos makes latest BSG's "All auto corr 2" port, but it keep crashing in good light ;(
Best regards, Damian
Yup any more development for mido on google camera plz

I have a Samsung sensor, but most GC versions also crash on high-contrast scenes. Lately I've been using the versions from "arthur" and they're rock solid.

Thanks mate, but i really need fully working astro-mode I've tried this on Pixel 2XL, and this is effect - https://www.instagram.com/p/B5yHmkMp7KE/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
Check latest pages of the GCAM thread. There are plenty working, but it takes like 1 min to take the picture with astrophotography mode.
Slow motion is not working with MGC_7.2.014_MiIXSE.RPII.MiVIII_V.apk . It exits immediately.

Yeah, after I posted I've read more about it and that's true. So I guess sanity's version is working fine. Gonna see if I cantest tonight. I know that it is working because I was trying to take a photo at the beach at night and after the timer I checked my phone and it was still processing
Check the attachment to see what happened to that photo that I've moved while it was still processing.

I will share my favorites as well:
I prefer MGC_7.3.020_Parrot043_V7 and everything works flawlessly.
I have been using the Parrot builds for several months and its consistently great. The Poco doesn't have OIS, the Mi8 has a smaller 1.8 aperture, ( vs 2.0) The Mi8 has a dual LED flash, and a wider range of abilities with video recording. So with this mind, the Parrot builds officially support the Mi8, while Poco builds are obviously designed specifically for the Poco and they often omit functions that the mi8 can use.
I also like the On Fire builds ( made for Poco but keeps all options available for other phones.) and I also like GCam_7.0.009_MiIXSE.RPII.MiVIII_V1
I recommend using the Parrot's 7.0.009 final goodbye version with my settings.

Is it possible to just use gcam apk's that are not made specifically for this phone? Does it need special code to use the popup camera?

Got working gcam 7.3 bro
https://drive.google.com/file/d/10sWZz2kVUEk2ZeIyz1yE7-N03P53kGYM/view?usp=drivesdk
GCam 7.3
The GCam 7.3 versions bring Astrophotography mode and better night sight mode to the Motorola One Fusion Plus along with other older features such as HDR+, Timelapse, portrait mode, etc. The available GCam port is compatible with Android 10.
The standard camera app working very well and the pictures are more than just very good.
Video defaults fully-zoomed in the viewfinder. Any solution?

All 4 cameras can work only if a gcam build is made specifically for this device. (But it's very unlikely all 4 lenses, specially the depth, to work well even so)
You can, though, have wide angle support when newer versions of gcam becomes available, as the newer pixels have wide-angle lenses.
I'd suggest you to stick to the latest stable builds as available.

Firstly, you're off topic with your display issues.
Secondly, it's the one fusion+ thread and not the g7.
Thirdly, how does "white dots on orange yellow surface" have to do anything with image persistence?
And lastly, gcam's image processing tends to have some colour artifacts, specially if it isn't built for the device on which you're using it on (more so if HDR+ is on). What you're talking about is probably the result of the same.
Please be on the proper thread and on topic next time

Thank you for helping me?. I totally forgotten that Gcam apk is from Pixel phones, and only newer Pixel XL phones have had 3 or 4 cameras dumb me xD.
I found some configuration file for my phone, and apply to Gcam from developer Nicki.
Maybe its reason because fusion plus is a newer phone and no developer is working for now, maybe in future will be supported. But for now offical update is far away. I hope that Android 11 will fix this software issue because it has great potential in camera hardware.

There's no version of GCam available specifically for the device. As of now, there's a version based on Google Camera 7.2 for the pixel devices, which works fine on the one fusion+ (that's what I'm using atleast, do note video recording on the back camera seems broken in this version). You can get it from the main thread here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/google-camera-mods/gcam-google-pixel-1-2-3-t3875663
Also, there are other ports by other Devs. If you're interested check those out and see if it suits your needs.

I want gcam

Question Will the nord 2 get gcam support?

Im just curious if nord 2 will support gcam and whether developers will port it because of the mediatek chip. I'm planning to buy one and i really wish to have gcam. Any answers will be helpful.
No.
Edit 2022-02-11:
- MGC_8.1.101_A9_GV1zfix (GCam 8.1)
----
The only "well" supported Mediatek phone is the Redmi Note 8 Pro and you need root to fix the viewfinder lag... it's just not a good experience.
If you want to use GCam, buy a phone with Snapdragon.
Guys plz check in apps section. I found one working gcam.
I briefly had the Realme GT Neo/X7 Max 5G, which has the same MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chip as the Nord 2. I found that the mods by Nikita and Wichaya worked well. I hope that helps.
It works well indeed, but it's not better than the original app for now

I'm using Nord 2 for a month and yes it does support GCam and it gives more natural colored photos compared to the stock one plus Nord 2 camera.

Need time to compare the stock and this Gcam. Not using configs as the camera won't work after loading it. More testing to be done...
Hey there!
I just recently bought it and i am trying to configure everything perfectly
Do you guys have any advice besides the switch from stock to gcam app?
and in this Regard:
OnePlus restores support for Google Camera mods in new OxygenOS update
Slowly fixing the hot mess
www.androidpolice.com
-> Does someone know if I NEED a ROM/Root because of the update?
Or what else could I do to prevent it?
I dont really want to risk/do a root honestly.....
Thanks for the help!
There are many versions of Gcam even without viewfinder lag who works perfectly (no wide cam tho but it's bad anyway), with configs etc, the details and quality are better than the stock app. Check the Nord 2 group on Telegram https://t.me/Oneplusnord2Gcam (I'm on a 8.3 or 8.4 version of Gcam it's great, slightly noisy but waaaay less artefacts and better overall quality than stock, especially when you zoom)

Can we talk about the current state of F1 development?

The pocophone F1 was the best phone I ever had and I miss it dearly, so I decided to buy a used one in the next few days.
I would like to know a few things regarding the current state of it's development:
In terms of gcam, does the original pixel 3 gcam is still the best, most compatible version for the f1? I've had a few android phones and none had the compatibility and stability that the f1 offered, and I'm afraid that with the new android 13 roms the pixel 3 gcam isn't compatible....
Is the custom rom development still active for the F1? Saw that Havoc Os hasn't been updated in quite a long time and I really love that one

Thanks for replying,
Do you notice an improvement with the latest gcam versions compared to the 6.xxx versions? I remember the old version as a reliable, stable and legit equal to the pixel.

I have never used the 6.xxx versions, so I couldn't tell you, but in my opinion, the quality, detail, sharpness, especially in good lighting (but low-light shots are also good) are outstanding and really close, if not equal, to Pixel phones and iPhones from the same "era" (and maybe up to some of today lower-end models).
We have the same optics (from Sony, I don't remember the exact model) as many Pixel phones (minus the Optical Image Stabilization) and we also benefit from the Image Signal Processor of a flagship SoC (Snapdragon 845).
