Work v/s Personal profiles on Vivo X50 Pro - Vivo X50 Pro Questions & Answers

An issue that's driving me crazy. I installed Maas360 on my Vivo X50 Pro, to access my work related emails and apps. The issue is that I see all work and personal apps listed in the same menu alphabetically, but not under two separate menu tabs "Work" and "Personal" like I used to have on my earlier phones.
Is this a limitation of the Funtouch OS? Or, am I missing some setting that's there in plain sight please? Appreciate any guidance to help me separate my work and personal apps on two separate tabs, thank you.

Dual Viber / whatsapp request

i'm a proud Android owner, but isn't it shame that iphone owners can easily install multiple whatsapp or Viber apps but we can't? even after ROOT. (maybe unless someone is very good at rewriting and manipulating the app or the OS)
you Developers can create anything. PLEASE help us to be able to install an app multiple times. i know it's possible because there is a very hard way to do it. but you guys can make it simple.
how great will it be if we could have multiple facebook and instagram and viber on our phones (especially the dual sim ones)
there is an app that allows you to install multiple (Wechat)
GO TEAM ANDROID
by the way, there are some alternatives for the people who need this.
for example:
OgWhatsapp (which will help you install multiple whatsapp)
2lines for viber (uses your viber app and changes between numbers on the fly) (not really a dual app but colse)
2lines for whatsapp (also works the same as mentioned above)
multiwechat (which really installs more than one wechat on your phone)
i will update this if i find anything new. or you guys can help.
STILL i hope a capable developer finds a way to install an app multiple times
I don't find 2lines for Viber can you post a link please?

Question regarding root access to memory space, low-level actions and best env.

Considering this is my first post - Hello, greetings, hi.
Straight to the question.
I have a certain amount of tasks that I do on my PC and for convenience, I've developed a program that does majority of these tasks for me (basically fetch new mail from my countless e-mails, messages from facebook etc. and put them into one single window displaying inside a widget.
I would certainly love to automate things on my phone aswell, but for that I need several things that I have to ask you about first.
Answer as many as you wish, thanks for any help!
1. Do I need root access to emulate human behaviour in certain apps? Behaviour such as screen click, drag etc.
2. Do I need root access to have unsafe access to memory chunks of other software? Probably similar access as one would require in order to make a cheat/hack for a game.
3. Can emulation apps work in background and still emulate clicks even when in fullscreen app such as facebook etc?
4. What's the best envirnoment for developing an android app, one that supports programming in C#?
Thanks again!

Secure personal and work spaces.

Hi,
I'm looking to get a secured space where I can launch some android apps with my personal data.
That a way I can separate personal data of work data.
I know samsung provide "knox" which is the best solution, but it's not working in others brand device.
Earlier, I had on my Nexus tab, the possibility to use an owner account and to swype to an "guess" account which can also a solution,
but it seems to not be available on recent release of android.
So anyone can give me some solution availabe ?
Cheers?

Which version of Android are you using? I have android n stock and there is the user option if you go to the settings app, there you can find the guest option and other options as well.
Well, I didn't find it on android 6 on my Xperia M4 Aqua.
On my Samsung S6, there're android 7, after many research I dind't find it. This phone is a very good device with knox but after a falling ugrade
the knox count rise to 1, so knox saw that as a security issue and it can't still running on.
So are are you sure it's always remains on android 6 and 7 ?

Custom ROM advice - looking for a kid friendly solution

First off, I hope I'm posting this in the correct area
This may be a fantasy, but I will state my idea, and if you know any way of making it a reality, OR if it already exists, I would really appreciate your advice & help!
The idea is basically a super lightweight custom ROM that would work (be able to be flashed on) on a lot of different devices. (multiple android phones & tablets)
Preferably, I want it to run on the most stable version of Android
No play store, only a predetermined set of apps to be installed along with the ROM
No stock browser or any native apps that have a browser built-in
Basically, there are a few applications for this product, 2 that come to mind.
The most obvious, Kid friendly - I know about the parental controls available, I want something 'bulletproof'.
To ensure productivity and reduce distractions among employees.
I would also want a browser that is whitelist-based that can have the whitelist updated remotely, every time the browser connects to the internet, (either on startup of the app or in the background) it would check the whitelist and update itself with the new definitions. Ideally, I would want a Chrome-based browser with a built-in adblocker.
I know the lines are blurred from custom ROM to custom apps. I hope I'm not dreaming of a unicorn
(The native apps preferred would be The Camera, Messages and phone apps)
I think what you looking for is "Kids Space" from oxygenOs and colorOs 13. Now even I'm looking for the same for older oneplus devices.
You had any luck with it?

Xiaomi Home - problem with PUSH notifications

The Xiaomi Home app suffers from a problem with PUSH notifications not working. It is likely that the problem has been present for many years.
The problem is well known and widely commented on the internet both on forums and in comments on Google Play. For example https://c.mi.com/thread-3056817-1-0.html
At least part of the problem is due to the smartphone shutting down Xiaomi Home to save energy. Nevertheless, a large number of the reports come from people who are aware of how to configure the smartphone to not close the app.
An example of such a post accurately describing the problem is https://community.oneplus.com/thread?id=1455606
Searching the Internet, I discovered that people from all over the world are experiencing this problem. I found the problem described in English, French, Spanish and Italian forums. Interestingly, it also affects Xiaomi smartphone users. Multi-screen discussion and unfortunately no solutions.
My observations - PUSH notifications work on Bluestack (Android 7.x)
Xiaomi does not seem to notice the mentioned problem. I write on the XDA Forums because there are people here who have a good understanding of how Android works.
Questions for you guys:
- How to debug the problem to draw any conclusions? Determine what is failing.
- Is it possible that the problem is due to some kind of US/China sanctions?
- I have heard that PUSH notifications work differently on the Chinese market, they don't use Google's dedicated service there. Could this be related?
As far as I know, PUSH notifications do work differently on the Chinese market. The GCM/FCM as well as other Google's dedicated services do not work.
Possibly. However, it still seems very strange to me that Xiaomi sells devices tailored to, for example, the European market, has European servers and the app distributed by Google Play uses the PUSH system operating in the Chinese market.
Sounds quite unlikely, given the huge popularity of Xiaomi hardware outside China.
However, if this is true then Xiaomi Home probably supports only MiPush http://mipush.global.xiaomi.com/ so we would need something like a wrapper for MiPush to send notifications to GCM/FCM. Unfortunately I'm not an Android developer.
It still puzzles me why I was getting notifications from Xiaomi Home on Bluestacks 4 running Android 7.x. It looks like some mechanism compatible with other markets is implemented - just not working with newer Android?
Additional information: Notifications work on Xiaomi Mi 6 - Android 9
i have same issue.
any solution yet ?
i followed all steps in this video twice and didnt work
None of the old solutions work. Xiaomi Home does not like some regions. For example, European Android devices (from version 10 I think) present themselves with the region 'eea'. Xiaomi Home does not accept this ( three-letter problem?) region - initiating push notifications crashes, as you can see in the logs (see link below).
I think the closest to solving the problem is this answer https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/missing-push-notifications.4133417/
You can of course change the region in Android, but this requires root and is rather pointless. Other apps may not work properly.
I suppose it would take 1 day to fix the app. Why hasn't Xiaomi fixed this for several years? It remains a mystery.
If anyone knows a way to change the region without root, just for one application then please let me know.
Any solution yet? Still no notifications with oneplus 9 pro and android 13. I have done any "fix" I have found and nothing.
