Question How can I uninstall system apps like browser, audio player, iqoo cloud etc? - iQOO 7 Legend

I have disabled some of the system apps. But these are some which can't be disabled. Is there a way to permanently remove these system apps. Thanks.

You need root access to be able to remove system based apps

Does this process work? Using adb command?

Yes. When attempting to debloat, theres a chance you might cause system related error. Make sure you do a backup as a fail-safe

Thank you so much. This works like a charm. I uninstalled few system apps and the phone is working perfectly. Next, I am gonna try the debloat option. And as I understood from your forum, the system apps can still be seen in the app list as they are not "completely" removed. Right?
Also, I selected the backup apk option while uninstalling. Where can I find these if I want to remove them?

In Android you can't completely delete system app without root. Saved apk may be find in the Download directory in the program folder.
I recommend you to read the guide and learn more about the ADB AppControl features

I removed apps like duo, easyshare, files, iqoo cloud. You can also remove other system apps like imanager, inbuilt apps like Netflix, YouTube.
I tried the debloat option but as I read on the thread few files are needed for normal working of phone so didn't go ahead with it.

AOToolbox changes the format of Apps when you 'backup apps' which does not make sense; we want to be able to use backup apps without any tool to restore. Because of this Android Assistant is my preferred app. Othewise it would be your AOToolbox. They are both very good apps and thank you.

Apps that work and are actually uesufll IMHO:
-terminal emulator
-qqplayer (warning, sideloading any video player will break wear mini launcher if you use that, contacted the developer and hoping he will fix it)
-MiXplorer (not in play store, from xda, crashes on exit but otherwise works great, much easier to use as a file explorer than es file explorer because it has list view
-es file explorer (I use it for the music player, text editor and to install apps in one click-can only be done with root-because it is kinda hard to install apps via terminal)
-astro bluetooth module (read my guide thread in the general forum if you want to find out what I use it for, might also help you
Also you can try apps but they will most probably not work if they use any kind of holo theme because AFAIK wear has holo removed.
Thanks for the great tool.
FYI, PerfMon works great.:good:

After you extract the zip, then you extract the Android-Wear-APK-Tools zip. Inside the same folder that contains the AndroidWearAPKTools.exe, copy and paste the adb files which I uploaded to my dropbox here:

Substratum on R1 HD

Any suggestions on how to get Substratum or other theme engine working on our device? The only version I can get to work consistently is v12.
V17 sorta works if you dirty flash, but not a clean install. No luck with ZenUI rom either.
After some testing by myself and others, Substratum does work in Legacy mode on V12 with no modification.
In order to get it working properly on V17 I recommend the following:
Flash the permissive boot.img provide by @vampirefo
Issue the adb remount command via pc
Create the 'overlay' folder in /system/vendor either via adb shell or root file manager
Copy the 'aopt' and 'aapt' file from /data/data/projekt.substratum/files into /system/bin either via adb shell or root file manager
Clear theme cache in Substratum if themes are not applying. Reboot. Attempt to apply theme again.
This works for me using Orange Kitten Pro, Swift Black, Swift Dark, The Kittens, Navigate and Navbars themes.
Thanks to @vampirefo and @keredini for their assistance.

Yes, there is in fact a way to get Substratum working on your R1 HD.
1. Get the Substratum app from the Google Play Store
2. Launch the application, and give it superuser access
3. Download anything you want!
Important:
There is a bug though with Substratum on the R1 HD. If you do download a theme that changes your whole System UI (not just the navbars), your power menu will not open. The phone will just restart once you turn the screen off. To fix this I have installed NeoPowerMenu using the Xposed Module. If you don't have Xposed, you should look into getting it. If you don't want to get it, you can just look for other alternate menus on the Play Store.
Hope it helps!
Ive gotten it to work on the non-prime but not prime. Applying the theme fails

Hmm, that's interesting. I had the Prime version and had gotten it to work on that. What does it say when you try to apply the theme?
I get an error stating:
Theme compilation has completed
An error has occurred during overlay installation.
Gave up on 6.6 went back to OEM, everything works.
I managed to get substratum working on v17 by creating a directory named overlay in /system/vendor/
Edit only temporary success, unable to change themes.
After flashing a permissive boot.img, I am able to successfully install and change some themes in Substratum.

If you already have busybox setup this suggestion might not get you anywhere. But try to replace the toolbox binary. I made recovery flash able package for it.

Try the v12-toolbox one.
I can't recommend that as I use BusyBox.

Note that for some reason i couldn't use fastboot and flash it, i had to use Flashify to do so. But after that I could use Substratum (with a few other steps to get it running).

I do believe you need to do more than just put busybox binary into xbin. It needs to be linked to be useful. Easiest way to do it is with the busybox app from play store. Then from in the app select install. Then that should all work.

Stock Android Hack

Purchased a Samsung which have preinstalled a stock version of Android 9.
I want to know if someone can decompile the stock firmware and embed a malware or smth that can send anonymously details about the way phone is being used. (i suspect that the people that work at that carrier did that).
Also, do you recommend any antivirus or some software that can detect (and what should we look for) any suspicious activity that run on my phone.
One way is to install a custom rom but first i want to find out if the phone is as i suspect
Please advice.
Well, at least you can disable bloat app now, without root, via PC with debloater.
About apps that are suspected as bloat, you can see in universal debloat scripts that require root. Like this or this.

To remove bloatware from Samsung smartphones, you might use a paid 3rd-party app called Package Disabler Pro from the Google Play Store which can uninstall bloatware in few taps. It’s a pretty straight-forward process without dangling with a PC and that’s why it's the recommended method. However, the app uses Device Administrator privilege to uninstall apps, which is very sensitive permission to grant. If you are comfortable with granting the permission, you can go ahead.
Download Package Disabler Pro from the Google Play Store and install it.
Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kinder.pksafety&hl=en_US
Now, simply select the apps by tapping on the checkbox and they will be disabled. To confirm the changes, just tap on the Disabled section below to see all the disabled apps. Similarly, you can uncheck the boxes to enable them.

You are right. Most of app uses Google Ad service. Maybe you need ad-blocker for non-root phone like Blokada. Some kind of VPN-filter, since can not write hosts file.
About ad-ware app look at this list of Samsung apps.

Bloatware are the apps what OEM/Carrier get paid for to install, bloatware typically is installed in /system or /system-priv: hence the term bloatware. Removing an app ( means completely remove it from storage medium without leaving a trace ) that is located in /system or /system-priv requires ROOT privileges. Point.

Agreed! Non-rooted phone can just disable them. Rooted phone can uninstalled them.
I had just suggest to user to disable apps (and services), until he decide to root phone or install custom recovery and delete system bloatware.

I made a simple thing :

enable startup for all my apps that I need in security app, disable battery optimization.
2)
adb she'll pm disable-user --user 0 com.zui.safecenter
....
Best thing to flash global to cn, but dunno how to do it, not checked any news.

Hi, can you explain how to disable the safe center? I activated debug mode and did it through minimal ADB, but the error below occurs.

Dunno, the guide to disable
How to disable any pre-installed system app bloatware on Android without root
If you hate the bloatware or pre-installed apps on your Android smartphone, here's how to disable them even if Android doesn't normally let you.
www.xda-developers.com
You can find a correct full name of app in for example "solid explorer" app, go apps, system, find security app and check it full name

yes, I found it, in my case it was safecenter.row, but it still didn't solve the problem of notifications, I still don't receive.
what firmware are you running?

Did you make your apps start up automatically first?
Make it start auto when your phone boot.
Disable battery optimization for your apps.
Then disable safecenter.
My fw CN 12.5.632

It's ok, cuz app service is down.
I made a simple thing :
1)
enable startup for all my apps that I need in security app, disable battery optimization.
2)
adb she'll pm disable-user --user 0 com.zui.safecenter
....
Best thing to flash global to cn, but dunno how to do it, not checked any news.

Thnx man, it works! But apps must be startup. If apps off, no notifications again. Apps can't turn on themselves(
Who have same problem, follow this two guides
1. https://www.xda-developers.com/install-adb-windows-macos-linux/
2. https://www.xda-developers.com/disable-system-app-bloatware-android/

In security app you can enable startup.
And also disable battery optimization for app.
Then disable security app via adb.
