Question Mi 11i can't charge to 100% - Xiaomi Mi 11i / 11X Pro / Redmi K40 Pro+

Hi guys,
I friend of mine recently got Mi 11i and left it for charging but the phone can't go over 93/94% battery.
Can someone give a hint why that might be? He is thinking if he should return it but from the store told him that this behavior was normal.
Thanks.

Try updating OS, if its the same, return

Mine only charges to 98 or 99% on the fast charger too, but then when I plug it into my car (to use android auto on my way to work) it goes on all the way up to 100.

Mate 10 Pro - Slow charge/Super fast discharge

Hello people, you are my last hope for this device.
It started few months ago when my headphones stopped working and i thought that my oem headphones are bad. I started using my old headphones 3,5mm jack over type-c dongle and from that day my phone went crazy. Fast charge stopped working and it started to discharge from 100% to 10% in 1-2H. When the phone was empty without my google account and apps, overnight it discharge from 100 to 0%.
First of all i went to Huawei Service Center here in Vienna but they said that i don't have warranty anymore because of Bootloader Unlock, and they charged me 36 Euros for inspection. (I unlocked bootloader when it was supported by Huawei)
Then i reseted device to factory settings, nothing happens. updated new os version, changed cables etc etc.. i changed usb charging port also but nothing helps. In Gsam app it shows only Combined App Cpu that using most battery. I'm sure that it isn't software issue.
I also ordered new battery from Amazon.
Do you guys had similar problems or same, please help me, i'm desperate because i cannot use it or sell it in this condition.
p.s. sorry for bad English.

Huawei Mate 20 Pro (Super)Charging Problems

Hey!
I've been using my Mate 20 Pro for quite some time (newest software with security updates from 1st January '19). Few days ago I plugged my phone to the charger only to notice that it was not charged in the morning. So I connected it to original Huawei supercharger and the only thing that phone shows is:
Normal charging for 1s, supercharging for 2s, no charging for 1s, normal charging for 1s and so on... And it is not really charging quickly. The only way I can get power to my phone effectively is using wireless charger. Any ideas why the supercharge is not working?
Tried troubleshooting:
I booted it in the safe mode - same issue
Different cable - same
Different charger (not supercharger) - showing that it's charging but the percentage is not increasing
Wireless charger - works
I think you might charged it with a wet port?

I would thought so, but the phone did not get wet. Even if the humidity got into the port somehow, shouldn't it come back to normal? (And it's not after 2 days)
I had trouble with Mate 9 last year, my partner put a different Cable in and it said there was moisture, I put the cable into my Mate 9, gave her my cable and they both worked fine. Odd.
Then my daughter took my charger and cable attached to S9+ when I got it back my phone wouldn't charge. I had to charge my phone with a different one, the next time I came to charge tried it again it worked but only at slow speed, lost the fast charge somehow.

Similar thing happened to my S8. It stops fast charging and only charged slowly. But went back to fast charging after a few days of not charging via cable.
I suggest don't use wired charging for a few days and let it completely dry. Hope the damage is not permanent.
My mate has a mate 20 pro that did exactly this. It was ubder warranty and he put it in for repair. When he got it back, he was told the charging port on his device had some kind of short (maybe water) and they had to exchange that part in the phone. And now it works.
Here is an update for others with similar problem:
I additionally tried:
- Clearing Cache partition
- Factory reset
No change...
I went yesterday to Huawei Service Center and they replaced USB port, motherboard(!) and camera modules(probably because they had motherboard with cameras already). Everything was covered by warranty.

Hi did you lost your data after that ?
As I've mate 10 pro suddenly charging only as normal charge "not super or even fast" also not recognized by my PC when plugging it
BR
I did not lose any data. Only the port was changed, but it is always better to do a backup (even online if your computer does not recognize it) just in case.

Poco F1 is dead

Hi everyone, I got a poco f1 from a friend. He used it quite normally. The cellphone was off for about a month - it didn't work. After a month I tried to start it however unsuccessfully, poco f1 is dead, I tried to charge it but it can't. What could be a malfunction? Help if you know and thank you very much
First, try using a different charging cable and brick. If it doesn't charge, Check if it can be read using a computer or laptop. If it still doesn't work, then the issue may be the charging port. If that's the case, if you are still covered by warranty, then go to xiaomi store. If not covered, go to a proper technician.
Btw if the device can be read on a computer, then it may just be a boot issue. Just flash again.
Does the white charging led light up when it's on charge?
If not, have you tried leaving it on charge for an extended period?
I've had difficulties with phones in the past after batteries have fullly discharged - eg the Moto G5 had some battery protection "feature" that stopped it starting up if it thought the battery was fully discharged - it was a bit over sensitive so would sometimes assume the phone was fully discharged when it wasn't
Try leaving it on charge for 24 hours or so then holding down the power button for for at least 20 seconds with it still on charge
If you have no luck and the warranty is out, get to a repair shop (or disconnect and reconnect the battery if you're confident to open it up - for a while I was getting sporadic shutdowns with my F1, following which it wouldn't take any charge, the battery light staying off when plugged in. This was all fixed by tightening the screws securing the black motherboard plate, the cover which retains all the connectors - not sure why but it seemed something, I suspect the antenna connection, had come loose. Since doing this about 5 months ago I've had no further shutdowns and my phone is usable again, having been completely unreliable before)
One trick that worked on some old Nokia phones was to charge it plugged to a computer instead of plugged to a charger - but as said elsewhere, if the battery is completely dead, YMMV.
Also, try to press and hold the power button and while doing that, plug the phone to the charger and then release the power button.

I guess your battery is dead
I have same issue, however I think my one is a motherboard charging IC issue. Does anyone know a way I can get it cheap from India, as I’m in the UK. India have it for around 9999 rupees which is about £10(+international shipping). I’ve ordered a charging port replacement from AliExpress to see if that solves the problem. However I don’t think that will work. No idea how my motherboard got damaged in the first place. I replaced a cracked screen myself and the phone was working fine for a few weeks, then it stopped charging all of a sudden. My PC also detects it/can access files doesn’t charge it. A new battery powered powered on the phone but again didn’t charge. Tried different adapters and cables too. Any experts out there know whether this is a motherboard issue or just a charging port issue?
If the phone is OFF for a month, then it is probable that the battery has gone down to a point that the BMS has shut it down. The BMS won't allow you to charge the battery because, in its own assessment, the battery is dead. Best way to test this case is to have another Pocophone with a good battery (or just a new battery altogether), detach the cable from that and test on yours. This may or may not work but this is one of the easiest to test and a new battery is easy to acquire.

Before you do that, just try leaving it in charge for 24hrs as suggested above, though it does look rather as if the OP has nicked off so won't be using any of these sage words!

Battery Issue

Hello People,
I have started facing this weird problem with my Mi A3 yesterday that I only bought in June.
The problem is the phone does not charge. When connected the charger, it shows "Charging Slowly" and the battery percentage stays as it is. It has been plugged in for 8 hours now with no change in the battery percentage.
Ampere shows a charging current of 70mA while the same charger & cable on my wife's OnePlus shows 1800mA current. So it's not the charger! :crying:
I have tried a hard reset, I have tried 4 different charger & USB combinations, NOTHING WORKED.
Any help around this will be greatly appreciated!
I will be set back with 15K if I loose this phone
What about the charger in the box? Doesn't that work?
Sounds like a hardware problem to me. Try going to the customer care
Thank you for a quick response!
None of the chargers are working. I've tried stock, OnePlus Dash, Moto Turbo, Samsung, everything.
I guess, service center is the only thing that can help.
Update - Even when it is plugged in, it keeps discharging.:crying:
Sadly, service center is closed, I'm from Pune and the city is in a lockdown till tomorrow.
Update - After a lot of struggle to not to reset my phone and an extensive research, I have wiped my phone clean and viola!
The charging works, it still charges slowly, but that's not as slow it was earlier.
I remember it seeing on screen 8 days untill full charge!
Now it's 6 hours to full charge, even with a turbo charger, 15W.
I will keep digging and posting the updates here.
Thanks
Charging too slow... battery draining out fast
I am facing same issue with my mi A3 since yesterday. It is taking 8 hours for my phone to get fully charged also battery is draining out too fast. Seems like this issue arrived with July security update. Even I tried hard reset and several other chargers but issue still persists. Hope that Mi sends out bug fix soon.
Resolved!
I had to visit the service center within a month of purchase due to the above mentioned issues.
Apparently some electronic failure caused the connector to fail and stopped the phone getting charged up.
My device is under warranty and thanks to that, got the faulty parts replaced for free and within 2 hours.
Which hardware parts did they get to replace??, Also facing the same issue

Poco Pixel 11 Plus Rom Loop Wont switch on

Greetings,
I have been using my poco f1 for 4 years now and it has stood by me strongly. I only replaced the battery once due to excessive usage from covid (hotspot on almost 12+ hrs of the day).
It had pixel plus 11 rom in it and I was very happy with it too. Over the past 1 week, i noticed it was behaving strangely.
1. The charge time took almost 3hrs even though it showed charing rapidly
2. When I switch off the phone and keep it for the charge, it charges comparatively faster.
3. At certain times, it would freeze and restart.
4. Would heat up during charging, so I would keep it near a window or anywhere there is a breeze so that it doesn't overheat.
As of yesterday, the phone went into a complete loop after charging (It was off while being charged, once it reached 95% I unplugged and switched it on) with poco symbol followed by the 'G' icon appearing.
I thought i'd wait it out, but no luck. The weirdest thing was, when i reconnected my charger (Charge ON), it would switch on. And when i'd unplug it, the phone would switch off and go back into the loop.
The phone was near full charged, but i figured this is probably a rom issue and needs a good flash. So, I plugged the phone in for charging again so that I could switch it on and then took the necessary backups.
In parallel, I downloaded the latest rom (Pixel 12 stable build) thinking that if i flashed it would solve everything.
I connected the phone via USB to the laptop to copy the rom file, but it didn't swith on. It would only do so by charger. (Weird!). I tried it a couple of times, and managed to switch the phone via USB cable connected from laptop. But it didnt last for long as the phone would switch off shortly. Fortunately, it was on for just enough time and i mean, a couple of times till I could copy the file into storage for flashing.
I reconnected it back to the wall charger, switched on and took backups. At this point the phone has reached 100% for about 2hrs or so, but there's nothing i can do in order to get it to be on.
I proceeded to flash pixel rom 12 via twrp after clearing the cache, davlik and all of that. It was successful (no error messages appeared) and when i rebooted it I could see that the rom went through fine as the charging '100%' icon has changed (Its more graphic) but the phone still wont switch on and continues to be on this loop.
Can anyone please advise me on how I can tackle this? I dont want to buy a new phone as I feel there is nothing out there that would match this phone for its value. (I can use pixel rom, good battery, durability)
Any help in this matter would be highly appreciated.
I'd be more than happy to make a contribution to anyone who can provide me with a solution that works. I'd rather be happy with my old phone and you can treat yourself to a nice meal rather than having to buy a brand new phone. (So far, im looking at mi 11x, s20 fe, mi 11 lite, oneplus 9R, but to be honest they just don't appeal to me. You know what they say, once you go poco, you go loco!!!!)
Thankyou
Be safe

Firstly make sure you followed this installation guide.
Then if you are sure that flashing is correct, I think it's your battery issue. You should replace it.

Hi there!
Thanks for replying!
I tried the same out all day yesterday and had no luck.
I have given it to a mobile repair shop nearby (we have a separate market for mobiles here).
Hopefully they can sort it out or else I'll go for a used S20 FE 5G, saw a couple of them ranging from $300 - $400

You could just buy and replace the battery by urself with 5min YouTube video
In repair shop they may ask extra money or try to show u that needs more than battery.
I am sure it's battery tho.

Hi there!
Thanks for replying. So, my phone did get fixed, apparently, the issue was due to the charger port and battery connection. Somewhere there was a short circuit causing that issue.
They mentioned this happens due to overcharging or using the phone when on charge or running heavy applications.
Yes, a battery replacement would add a few more hours of battery life I'm sure as I currently average 6 hours on heavy usage.
I plan to use this phone till it no longer runs as the alternatives out there arent really all that great with respect to value for money and reliability. I hope to get my hands on the mi 12x, it looks really appealing!
