I sideloaded the 037 Nov update OK.
Just tried Dec A1 global OTA and got the attached errors. Will I be safe to reboot? Or how do I sort this?

sort of looks like you flashed a coreupt download... or the wrong firmware for your device

You verified the md5 checksum after you downloaded it? The only other thing would be you flashed the wrong one for your device ... but I guess if it works, no point in continuing on right?

Might be the cable. Can't be sure if I used a different cable last time? It'll have to wait for another day now.
You try the google flash tool? If you're unlocked you could extract the factory image and fastboot update with the extracted Oriole zip

You should be using the A4 OTA file since you're in the UK

My understanding is that the A1 build is a Global build for Google Store bought unlocked phones which mine is.
Besides I tried A4 when A1 failed with the same result.
Pretty sure it's a cable issue.

That happened to me the 1st time I sideloaded the mid-nov update, it read the img but failed installing it.
Turned out that simply switching from the front left USB 2.0 to the front right USB 2.0 of my PC solved it and I was able to sideload properly. No idea how or why that would make a difference though but I guess that's technologie for you
Hoped the OTA worked come today and save me the hassle. Still not got it though in the UK. How long can it take to come through?

Rumor has it that if you sideloaded the mid-november update (037) you won't get an OTA at all.
No idea if that applies to you but if it does you should consider using the flash tool to see whichever update it shows you as Default, then sideload that one. That way future updates should be OTA again (as long as you're not rooted).

Yea V0latyle was faster lol - you need to use Chrome for that link though (or maybe Edge too), Firefox etc aren't supported.

Check this sub forum, there are 1 or 2 that are about the December update and I'm pretty sure users in both mentioned it somewhere.
If you flash 037 update you won't get ota for December update.
But it's better to stay on November patch level.
I'm on December and have bad connection.
Can't use phone call longer then 10 sec ...

I'm a new guy here so if this needs to be directed somewhere else please let me know.
I have an AT&T HTC One M7 and it is apparently not receiving updates. I am still on 4.3 and my phone never received the update to 4.4.2 back in February when it released in the US. Now that Sense 6 is officially out I haven't received that yet either but it just came out yesterday. When I go to AT&T Software Update it immediately says there's no updates available and will check again in 48 hours. I've tried the trick of changing the date on my phone which didn't work either. I spoke with AT&T and they claim they have no way to push the update to my phone and that I should get it replaced. I chose not to because I had HTC fix the camera sensor(pink hue issue) and the phone is now rock solid. I've been searching on this forum on how to update my phone using the OTA update because I like the stock firmware with Sense and want to keep it but it's information overload here. Threads with over 100 pages of replies with no real clear walkthroughs. Does anyone know how to somehow force the update to show up on my phone? If not, can someone direct me to where I can download the OTA update?
Any help would be appreciated.
Never mind! Figured out it was my Sim card. Put my wife's card in and it downloaded immediately.

My wife's is doing the same thing, except the SIM card swap didn't work either. I tried to load it through stock recovery, but that didn't work either. AT&T doesn't have any answers, and I've reset the phone three times with no success. It did the same thing with 4.4, but I figured it was a system wide issue due to others not being able to receive it.

I downloaded the mirror in the first link and rebooted in recovery, only for the red exclamation to show up. Will this work with a stock phone?

Their both the right link
one updates 3.17.502.3 to 4.18.502.7
and the other Sense 6 updates 4.18.502.7 to 5.12.502.2
OTA Does not wipe the phone ... did you do any reading at all or are you just winging it ?

Just did the same. Flashed full b29, downloaded update and it failed.
Factory reset, now waiting for download again.

I had the same problem. On my 2nd go around as well. First time I restored B29 from TWRP. After the failed update. I reflashed B29 via the official recovery, and then re-downloaded the Nougate update again. Will update.
Edit: Success.

Don't know yet. A beta user said all they had to do was go into fastboot and unlock... Hopefully the release build is the same.
So... either wait and see, unlock now, or go for it and be the first to try.
Does nougat have the dreaded power management?
Just tested Daydream a bit. The power button is no longer a problem
But I can't find any options to adjust blur or flicker like in LeanageOS. Also, I still get quiet a bit of drifting to the right. Was hoping Official would help with that, as other fixes/solutions had minimal impact for me.

Just upgraded. I was hoping the volume control would be fixed in this version of Android but it is just as dumb as the last one. Volume buttons only adjust ringtone but not notifications. Media volume gets turned down with headphone or Bluetooth connect. To turn up the volume I have to click OK, WTF... I have been blasted with loud music when numerous times in my car when switching sourves because the volume on the phone is lowered automatically.

QA6 IS the same version we had a week or so ago. Same revision number. QA4 was the one before that and the one you may be referring too but we got QA6 beforehand also. If you have QA6 ready to go, it's the same thing.
Is there any reason for a phone not to get the upgrade. Everyone around me as gotten the upgrade but my phone still says software is up to date.

A little more info about your phone would make it easier for people to help you. What firmware are you on, have you froze any apps in the past, are they still frozen, have you rooted, if yes then what method did you use to unroot.

Never rooted. I have disabled a few of the att/stock apps I will go enable them again.

Yea i would reenable them since APK1 is the latest firmware not APG1. At least it is in the S7 flat. You have the edge it looks like.
I enabled all apps and set my date ahead to check again still says I am on the latest.

Find the APK1 firmware for the edge and use Odin to flash it (will erase data on phone), wait 24 hours ad check again. Or download the nougat QA6 file and sideload it (also will erase data on phone) . That's what i suggest. Or after you reenabled the apps you can reboot your phone into recovery and wipe cache.
I downgraded to PK1 and bam! On QA6 via OTA. This also resolved the issue with AMEX not registering on Sammy Pay.

QA6 went on mine fine with PK1 on my phone. I used QA6 on a new SD Card method, so was only thing on SD card when I booted phone into Recovery to install QA6 from the SD card.

Did you use the mega link that was posted by dirtydodge? His works the other mega link didn't work for me I had the same issues you had until I download the one dirtydodge posted. I'm thinking that the other mega link is corrupted.

I bought my S9+ 18 about months ago from one of those cell phone stores.
Well since I bought the device, I never received an update. If I am not wrong, this device is originally from Luxemburg, I live in Austria and my provider is T-Mobile.
I have been looking all over the internet to find the right update, but i think none of the ones I found were the correct update for the device I own.
In the attachment you find the device information, can you maybe help me to find the right update file. I would much appreciate your help!

Is there way to change my device, as if I bought it directly from T-Mobile, so I receive the future updates automatically, without root access?

have you ever had smartswitch work for this type of situation?
these situations almost always benefit the most from Odin, not smartswitch. Odin is very easy to use if the user can read and comprehend fairly simple steps provided they dont overthink it or use the wrong files etc etc.
Odin > smartswitch
even when the phone gets to the state where it says that the software is corrupt and to connect it to Keis, do not connect it to Keis. That screen is also download mode, and if you have that screen, a computer, usb cord and Odin, youre likely going to be able to fix your phone. Ive never once seen anyone use smartswitch to achieve this

I did it, and it worked flawlessly. Finally Android 9.0 :laugh:

I just got mine so I haven't unlocked bootloader yet, the OTA went smoothly.
I tried looking for the OTA.zip but couldn't find it.
It didn't even warn me before the reboot to apply the update...

It will reappear in a day or 2.
Again received update with same issue, downloading and then says updating, don't shutdown the phone & after around 1 minute it stops without restart or updating then again showing that there is an update.
Any help?
Flash MP1 using *#*#1027#*#*, reboot to recovery, wipe data. Boot, update to mp2, reboot to mp2, take the mp3 update.
