Question LTE Band/Cell Locking - Moto Edge 30 Pro

Any way to lock LTE Band or Cell tower ?
When the phone switches to closest LTE tower, the mobile data is unusable
Used to lock on my band and cell tower using service mode on my samsung device but didn't find any relevant codes for snapdragon
Also no working band related shortcut found on my Moto edge 30 pro Android 12
Got a few sprint carrier related shortcuts but can't launch them

have you tried *#*#4636#*#*

[Q] How to Access Service Mode

Has anyone been able to access Service Mode on the X Mini (or some other Asus phone)?
I have an unlocked X Mini that I'm trying to make work on a local Wireless provider (GCI), and I've successfully rooted the phone using the primary technique already described on this forum. After putting in my sim card all I get is a small 'x' next to the signal bars. I was able to get the phone to work with an AT&T sim just fine, and I've been able to get another AT&T phone (Galaxy S4) to work after changing frequency band. GCI uses 850 and 1900 for 2G/3G and Band 4 for LTE. AT&T phones also use those bands, so I should be able to configure the frequency bands accordingly. Unfortunately, most of the solutions I've seen on the interwebs are geared toward more common Android phones.

Code:
*#*#4636#*#*
The 4636 option gets me to a potentially useful menu, but what I'm looking for is more like the *#2263# menu that allows for setting frequency preferences. I've successfully used this menu on a Galaxy S4, and now I'm looking for something similar on the X Mini.
No one else has had a problem connecting this phone to a non-AT&T network?
I have mine unlocked also..and it connects fine with T-Mobile on my end...
T-Mobile US here. I just got my AT&T unlock code today and successfully unlocked. There's no non-LTE service where I live, and sure enough, I have no service. I found a thread on using some Qualcomm tools to change the bands used by the modem, so I may try that.

Padfone S - LTE signal icon in status bar absent and LTE option in settings absent.

THE CONCERN:
Padfone S - LTE signal icon in status bar absent and LTE option in settings absent. Just H, H+, and 4G icon.
MY QUESTION:
Has anyone ran into this same senario and fixed it? Or, come up with a real concrete understading of the LTE bands on PFS WW firmware?
POST ABBREVIATIONS:
PFS=Padfone S (International) model.
PFX=Padfone X (AT&T) model.
H=HSPA=3G
H+=HSPA+= 4G
4G= 4G posibly LTE (That I am trying to figure out.)
WHAT I DID:
So, did a full system wipe and flashed the most recent official Asus PFS firmware on an (AT&T) PFX model with TWRP 3.0
THE OUTCOME OF CHANGING FIRMWARE SO FAR:
Overall, phone works incredibly well. Smooth. No bugs except for LTE band issue. However, I don't know if it's an actual issue.
Flashing to PFS gave me Android 5.0, but most importantly the Padfone Station works perfectly as well Google Play store without having to modify anything. (Both reasons I didn't keep CM12 or CM13.)
THE CONCERN AGAIN:
Concern is that in this PFS firmware, LTE signal icon in status bar absent and LTE option in settings absent. Just H, H+, and 4G icon
WHAT MY PHONE DOES:
Only displays H, H+, and 4G in status bar next to signal strength.
In Settings > Cellular Networks section, only gives me Preferred Network Type option of 2G, 3G, 2G 3G 4G.
No LTE option. Yet, phone specs indicates that it has the bands.
LTE bearer option in APN does nothing.
WHAT I DID:
Downloaded an app called LTE DISCOVERY (Google Play Store), and it shows that when signal status shows 4G icon, it actually is using the LTE band 2. (See Photos below)
BAND 1900 Mhz band 2= LTE
However, it doesn't stay on a 4G Band 2 frequency that long. Usually jumps back to H and H+. And data connection disconnects constantly. I have to disable and re-enable data to get it to reconnect.
Note: My area has a strong AT&T LTE signal, and on PFX firmware LTE worked great. I know the hardware is capable of connecting to network. Just not available on PFS firmware, I guess?
WHAT I MIGHT DO NEXT:
I am considering trying to flash modem image from Padfone X, but am hesitant.
Also considering using an app called Nexus 4 LTE Modem Flasher (Google Play Store) which flashes preloaded LTE bands and helps enable the, but I'm hesitant to use it since this is not a Nexus.
Also considering flashing Official Asus Padfone INFINITY WW firmware to see if that is any different. Infinity also has a Padfone Station.
Has anyone ran into this same senario and fixed it? Let me know please.
My Phone:
Phone model: Was ASUS T00D (PFX)...flashed to official ASUS_T00N

That being said, my hardware is capable, but the PFS firmware I flashed is not going to access those frequencies and bands.
Soooo, going to have to flash modems for them somehow.
Anyone successful in this arena of flashing modem to include LTE band 4,5 and 17 on PFS?
...additional photo. APN Bearer options, system info to go with Original Post.
I have a Padfone X flashed to Padfone S running on T-Mobile.
The 4G network indicator in the status bar really IS LTE. Back when Verizon was rolling out 4G LTE, providers like AT&T and T-Mobile didn't want to feel "left behind", so they upgraded their 3G networks to HSPA+ and marketed it as "4G". In the rest of the world, 4G correctly refers to just LTE (and WiMax in areas that still use it). So basically: E = 2G EDGE, H/H+ = 3G HSPA(+), 4G = LTE.
The Padfone S modem contains all of the bands that the Padfone X modem had except for Band 17. On my device, after flashing the Padfone S firmware, I did not flash the Padfone X modems, and I'm still able to connect to LTE Bands 2 and 4, HSPA+ Band 2 (1900MHz), and EDGE Band 2 (1900MHz). To get Band 17 working again (for AT&T), apparently you need to have backed up the EFS partition of the Padfone X via the older TWRP (I'm unsure if Quarx's TWRP 3.0.0 restored this functionality), and restore it once the device is flashed to the S firmware.
Have you tried forcing the phone into LTE-only mode? Download the 4G Switch app from the Play store (icon is a circular red power button), scroll down a bit and change "LTE/GSM auto" to "LTE-only". See how the phone reacts.

First, thank you for your input and advice.
Second, I tried to use two 4G Switch apps (4G Switcher and Radio Switcher) and both open the following same screen. Like if both apps got hijacked by lollipop and only opens a secret TESTING page to Device Info HANDHELD MOBILE DEVICE INFO. This does allow me to select preferred LTE network, but the apps were suppose to have a completely different visual and GUI. Happened to me with MobileUncle Tool and Tool Hero when I went to Engineering Mode > Engineering Mode (Android) > Same Screen.
Why?
...this screen. All four apps send me to this screen. Why is it hijacking the apps and sending me to the Testing page?

That's the correct menu. Scroll down a bit and look for the "LTE/GSM auto" option, press on it, and select "LTE-only". Might need to throw your phone into Airplane mode and back out again for the change to take affect.
It's located a few lines below the screenshot you posted:
In this screenshot, it's where it says "WCDMA Preferred": http://i-cdn.phonearena.com/images/articles/64301-image/Phone-info-1.png
Change that to LTE-only. See what happens.

G5 cannot connect to 4G LTE?

I bought a Sprint G5 (LS992) and am using it in Canada, however I have never been able to connect to 4G LTE even though I am sure it works on my carrier's LTE network (Public Mobile, which uses Telus's network). I could still call, text and use data on 3G HSPA+ but not LTE.
I checked the Network type and strength under Mobile networks and only see 3G -65dBm.
In 4G settings under Mobile networks there are two options, one is the Network operator which I could not press into it and the other one being IP address which shows me "0.0.0.0"
Tried to enable LTE by switching the network mode to LTE/CDMA only but not even able to connect to the network (no calls no text nothing)
I am pretty sure G5 is capable of using LTE but just don't know why I am not the one using it.
Thanks for any help or suggestions!

LTE? on Sony Xperia Z5 Compact (E5823)

As a noob, I may not state this question correctly, so please excuse any errors. My Sony Xperia Z5 Compact E5823 (international version) was recently registered on the MetroPCS (T-Mobile) network. The current software build number is 32.2.A.0.224 and the preferred network type selected is 4G(preferred)/WCDMA/GSM.
The phone is located in a major metropolitan city and T-Mobile has accomplished an area-wide LTE Band 12 build-out. The signal strength icon in the status bar either shows a "4G" connection or no connection type of any kind rather than the "LTE" connection icon. the signal strength icon generally shows only 2 or three bars even though, at this moment, the phone is 1/8 mile from the T-Mobile tower at a time of day with little traffic. The connectivity speed generally seems to be quite erratic.
My question is: Do I have LTE connectivity and, if not, how do I get it? An agent at a local MetroPCS agency location said that the ROM or firmware had to be "flashed". Is this correct and, if so, how does a "noob" go about it?
Thanks to all for any responses!
If you installed the settings metro sent to your phone, it might not be an issue with the phone since 4g is LTE internationally. In the US and NA they made 3g+ into 4g and LTE into its own thing as a marketing gimmick. H+ shows up as 4g in the US phones and firmware and LTE shows up as LTE. In Europe LTE shows up as 4g in a lot of handsets.
Youprobably need to try another network on your phone to see if it behaves the same way and I'm betting that it won't. Likely it is the network causing issues and not the phone in this case.

band selection and signal issues???

Got a sprint varient. After now 2 days of searches and reading trial and error.
My g5 sprint gsm unlocked. No matter how i select radios gsm gsm/cdma lte auto everything.
I'm picking up band 5 lte tower. I verified these readings with a att s6 edge.
randomly hpsa and very rarely a gsm network but g5 does connect to all same bands and netwroks as s6 side by side in lte discovery.
On all my att phones on lte discovery primary is lte band 2. G5 wants to default to band 5.
It did connect to band 2 for a few min with great signal might i add. Secondary connection is live on in lte discovery on s6 edge with gsm and network info listed.
Now again my g5 is on 1st lte band 5 most of the time and the 2nd connection is rarely picking up but has switched a few times between hspa and gsm just like att phones info in discovery. but usally sitting here with gsm and a n/s
As my g2 g3 g4 all were sprint on att no problem I didnt figure the g5 would be any diffrent
This seems like a connection and band priority issue not a compatibility issue.
Am i missing something? i cannot find band priority in any hidden menus. Or did sprint and lg take away some of the versatile sprint radios functionality?
sorry for being long winded
Its just weird. It will make calls, text.mms, internet all on 3g 4g and lte. But signal keeps dropping. While it continueously switches from lte to 3g band 2 and 5 Does not drop calls. Sometimes i have to make a call a time or 2 to get connected to the network. Texts seem to be coming through on time.
thanks in advance guys
from what i need i gotta either set band priority or find setting for lte/gsm/umts which i cant find
i am also getting too low reception
