The Lighthouse was officially released for use in Malaysia and not the PRC. Some users using harmony os 2.0 or EMUI 12 outside of Asia have had success using the Lighthouse apps from Malaysian app gallery. Xda developers has no means to modify the app to change compatibility with Huawei devices.

You are developer and you say this ? Sorry for my question.
I thought it would be easy to modify the app working outside china.

Go to Settings, Apps, Lighthouse, tap on the gear, device registration, change it to nexus, then try to log in your account

The developer is Skywalker and you can research if you wish to determine if he/she is a membership with xda developers. The Lighthouse app is under the property of Skywalker, fibonas, Huawei app gallery. Xda developers cannot assume responsibility for the app and change it.

[Q] Is there any company offers to host our android game

We have a game developed for Android. However Google merchant account is not supported in our country. So we are looking for any third party service who can host our game and share the revenue.
Currently we have hosted it as a beta testing. If anyone like to see it first, search google for "Clozaps: Santa Vs Grinch Closed Beta Test" and join the beta testing group. (Sorry I am still not allowed to post links here)
If anyone knows any alternative for in app purchases please share with us.
Thanks

AppTwin for other apps

Hi,
I just got a Mediapad M5.
In Thailand, AppTwin allows only LINE app.
I heard that outside China, Huawei enable Facebook and WhatApp, while in China, Vchat something.
I do not understand what the problem Huawei face in enabling/disabling certain apps.
Why cannot Huawei let the user choose one or two apps in AppTwin by himself/herself?
Is there a way to work around this limitation?
I searched and found one guide but it does not work any more with new firmware (by using adb command).
The way that Huawei choose to enble certain apps in certain regions means that the app can be chosen and changed.
Could someone please give me a guide how to?
Thank you.

I find that Huawei's own AppTwin is very limited, it will not even clone FBM Lite.
I tried to install Parallel Space and it does not work with my M5 (some people seem to work).
I tried App Cloner instead and it works.
So my suggestion is if you have no luck with Huawei AppTwin, try another app instead.

HMS 4.0 OS on Mate 30 Pro

Huawei is working on developing HMS 4.0 OS.
According to these Huwaei Mobile Services, could I have some type of certification in my Mate 30 Pro 5G to be able to install GPay or my bank's app and make payments with the phone via NFC?

If you install GMS you will be able to install all apps you need including bank's app. i tried most of bank's apps and working fine.
However, making payments with the phone via NFC is not possible now through Gpay as your device is not google certified.
Regarding Huawei HMS 4.0 OS, I have no idea ...
I hope i am able to answer your certification being Mate 30 Pro 5G user.
It should be possible ig

Huawei Just need to believe in their products and make them available all over. We don't mind buying good gadgets as long as they have good specs. We can sideload apps. Price is all that matters

Installed it the other day but the number of Apps are limited. Only the more popular ones are there. The search function does not work when I tried it. It is supposed to search for apps in sites such as apkmirror. Maybe it works in other regions.

Yes, they're there too. Don't know if you can simply install them.

Android without GMS is a disaster.

I am looking for a solution to run GMS on my Huawei Y7p, if anyone fine a solution please let me know. the lzplay thing is not working anymore.
Not being able to use YouTube, Gmail, Netflix this really sucks.

for the y7p it still working rn
You dont have a solution sadly, it's with HMS. You bought the phone knowingly I'm sure, so here's what you can do:
1. Use Petal Search to download other apps/games that aren't on AppGallery, for example you can download Discord from Petal Search. Petal Search gives the apps from trusted sources like APKPure and APKMirror.
Link: https://appgallery.cloud.huawei.com/app/C100995735
2. Use the web versions of Google apps, for example Youtube in browser. You can also use Snaptube or Vidmate from AppGallery, they both show Youtube videos and you can watch them from there.
Links:
Snaptube: https://appgallery.cloud.huawei.com/app/C100180977
Vidmate: https://appgallery.cloud.huawei.com/app/C100854761
3. You can also check the thread I made on Huawei Community that helped many people that use phones without GMS, Google Alternatives: https://consumer.huawei.com/en/community/details/topicId_48289/
Enjoy! It's not a disaster, you'll get used to it.
Use GMS installer to install the gms service and then you can install the google apps individually.

Question Does Chinese Version of Vivo X80 work in any EU Country?

Hello there, i live in Turkey and i m planning to buy Vivo X80 from Taobao.com
Seems like its Chinese version and i couldn't find any answer if i buy this version will i have bear tons of problems such as connection mobile network, installing banking apps etc. ?
And according to vivo official website, there is no way to install global rom to chinese version. is this true or there are someway as unofficial way?
is there any experiance have you got before such like this?
I have the Vivo X Note, which was released a few weeks before the Vivo X80. They both have the same Chinese Origin OS operating system. Some developers on this forum are working on a method to unlock the bootloader and flash the global FunTouch operating system on the Vivo X70. Once they have finished their work the method should work for other devices using the Origin OS Ocean operating system. As for using the Chinese Origin OS operating system, I'm in Canada where the working language is English, and I haven't had any problems. I connect to the local 5G network and my banking apps and Google Pay work fine. My carrier would not enable VoLTE functions on the phone, but that is because of their policy to only enable VoLTE on devices purchased from them. Most European carriers allow VoLTE on these phones, but if VoLTE is important to you (you need it if you travel to the United States where they have shut down 3G networks) then you should check with your carrier before purchasing the phone. Almost all Google services work on the phone - ie Gmail, Google Maps, YouTube, etc., but although you can tap the microphone icon in Google Assistant and then issue it voice commands, it won't respond to "OK Google" voice activation because the phone has its own Chinese voice assistant built-in, which can be disabled, but not replaced. Google Backup, and Google Maps Timeline won't work, but those were the only limitations I've run into. I also found that if you replace the default Vivo Messages app with Google Messages you won't receive notifications when the phone is in dark mode. I replaced the default app with Next SMS and it does receive notifications in dark mode.
I got vivo x fold in the US
And I can tell you almost everything works under CN version ROM
except Android Auto which requires root, currently there is no good solution for rooting VIVO. just let it be I think
I'm thinking of buying the x80 pro but Chinese version ..
tell me android auto does it work for you? for me it is very important that works!
Android Auto, Google Maps history/timeline, Google backup won't work, and although you can tap on the microphone icon and use voice commands in Google Assistant, you can't open it by voice (OK Google). Google Messages notifications don't work in system wide dark mode. Make sure your carrier will enable VoLTE on the phone, some won't.

Whenever the system-wide dark mode is activated, Google Messages notifications stop functioning. Check with your service provider to make sure the phone can use VoLTE, as not all of them do.

So glad I found your answer! So regarding the Google map timeline. Since Google map still works on vivo, can I still view the current map timeline if I log in from another platform, like a laptop web browser?

I’m in Canada as well I was offered to trade in my current phone iPhone 13 Pro Max 256gb for this vivo x80 pro … but after checking this forum I’m actually worried I was offered the CN version snapdragon with Origin OS 3 … I’m fairly comfortable with mods and chines phone owned some in the past but I was wondering in today’s day would the x80 pro still be a reliable phone to use here in canada ?

Buying a Chinese version of the Vivo X80 from Taobao may cause problems with mobile network connections and installing banking apps. It's true that there is no official way to install a global ROM on a Chinese version, but there may be unofficial methods. It's important to research and consider the risks before making a purchase.
