Question Arc survival evolved - Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

Hello all,
I saw that the game does not support Android 13, this also happened to Android 12 in its time.
I reached for the developers and asked if they were planning on adding support for android 13. They simply told me they weren't planning on it
Maybe we can patch it to do so, I don't know if it's feasible.
It's really funny that they released a very demanding game and now that we have the devices to run it properly they won't do the job.
I'm posting this here because I am using an S23 Ultra. And saw now thread for Android 13.

[VOTE] Paranoid Android for Sony XC!?

Hellooo,
would be great if everyone here would participate in the vote so that our chances to rise to the line up increase.
Paranoid Android for Sony
"We personally also want to support the Sony Xperia line of devices and we teased a post of the Xperia Z3 Compact and the Xperia X both running AOSPA somewhere in the community recently. However, our infrastructure is not able to cope with the vast number of devices. We’d like all Sony users to answer in a poll for which devices you’d like to see added and we’ll support the devices with the most amount of votes."
Please cast your votes here - https://goo.gl/forms/ir7sJBmbhEh2djce2
Thanks!

I got my vote in a few days ago. It'd be fantastic to see our device supported but it seems unlikely with the lack of activity here.
I think PA was my favorite AOSP based ROM. It was clean, they didn't give too many options, didn't bundle in a bunch of unnecessary apps, and the pie menu was great. I used it on my SGS3 and Nexus 4 and was sad when they ended development, but it's nice to see they're bringing it back. I remember CM tried to implement the pie menu but it was never quite the same.
AOSPA for the Xperia X Compact will be a great addition. Since moving from Nexus devices I've missed the multitude of ROMS to choose from. Ran PA on Nexus 4, Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 5.
Please please please bring Paranoid Android to the XC!!!
Yesssssssss, thanks for all the votes! We made it to the line up guys!
Wohooooooo, so happy! ? ? ? ?
Sent from my Sony Xperia X Compact using XDA Labs
Paranoid Android is now available for the X Compact! I am only having some issues with the fingerprint scanner. I can set up the first but not others and I can't delete the original or use it to open the phone.

Android 9 and regular Security Updates

Hello guys,
i am thinking about buying the Huawei M5 Tablet for my girlfriend but i am afraid of Huwaei due to their bad update policy.
- Does anyone know how long they support their devices? More then 1 year?
- How often does Huawei distribute Security Updates? Monthly?
- Any chances of Android 9?
- Will this device support project treble with gsi? This maybe a solution for Android 9.
My current device is a Google Pixel C Tablet and a Google Pixel 1 XL. So i am enjoying the regular security updates.
Right now i am too afraid of buying a closed source Tablet which might will not get any updates!
What do you think?
It will come with Oreo, so its treble enabled thus will get updates pretty fast.

Petition for Project Treble Support for Note 8? Suggestions/Discussion

Hello Guys,
As the Topic says, what do you think about Project Treble Support for our Note 8! Should a Petition help us to bring it to our device? Your Kind Opinion/Suggestions required!
Thanks & Regards
No Treble for Note8
Since Samsung did not manage to import Treble in the new Oreo version, I think there will never be a treble for the Note8.
Now it will be even harder to implement Treble.
I don't think it would be even possible as an OTA update to do so, somebody explained it in another thread, personally I'm not bothered but at least going forward any Android launched with Oreo will support project treble, to the vast majority of user I don't think it matters
An earlier XDA article mentions that Google are working with some companies (no specific company mentioned). It could mean that maybe samsung will work with Google to ensure project treble to our device but we simply don't know yet. Fingers crossed though.

Android P for Honor 9

https://theleaker.com/huawei-honor-android-p-9-0-update/
It's a bit early to be sure. No one really knows what the final version of android P will bring to the table. Maybe there will be features not compatible with the honor 9 hardware. All in all, until we know what android P will be, there's no way to know if the honor 9 will receive. There will be a million articles speculating on what phone will get what and when, but until there is an official announcement, no one knows.
honestly its well to early to say it would get P or not id be surprised if it did
Of course H9 will get Android P, come on guys, it's very clear with Huawei: Midrange devices get 1 major update, flagships get 2 major updates. Now with project Treble they might raise the update count by 1.

Will we get Android 11 or not. [MIUI based or Custom ROM based]

Yeah yeah. I know that we've seen the news about Poco and other 845 SoC based phone from Mi Series. Since the rollout of Android 11 on Pixel devices few days ago, there are many new features on Android 11 that I would like to add on Poco but since that Xiaomi promised us to get two major os updates (which are Android P and Android Q) it will most likely will stop on Android Q. But I have high hopes for Poco getting Android 11, MIUI based or not.
What are your thoughts about this?
Xiaomi has already cleared that poco f1 isn't getting android 11. It's not on their roadmap. We'll get miui 12 and maybe even 13 looking at the past experience. MIUI version are major upgrades for Xiaomi phones. Android versions like 9.0, 10.0 are practically just numbers to show off and that hardly adds any features on xiaomi phones.
I created petition on change.org for android 11.

You're on xda forums not miui. The one thing you should be worried about is device sources and community developer support not miui.

Yes I'm fully aware of that. But even though if I posted this on MIUI Forums, I still get the same answers from both Forums.
I highly doubt that someone can use blobs from MIUI 12 Android 10 to start from scratch to build a port to Android 11.
I forgot what device that was, I've experienced this coming back from 2018 when they used blobs from Android M to port and build Android N and that was stable enough they officially launched an official build.
Maybe my intuition was wrong or not, maybe someone from the Poco dev or even from the Poco community might wanna build and port Android 11 and might be one of the biggest breakthroughs of all time. Of course if it is stable enough to be a daily driver. I know that it is hard because of lack of blobs coming from Xiaomi's MIUI but maybe, someone will do it.

Yeah, Android 9 and 10 is kinda bummer because of lack of feature other than setting apps permissions which is great for me.
Android 11 has tons of new features like their improved privacy app features, the new smart device control quick settings which I really need because I have smart devices at home, improved notification and more.
I know these things can be treated on 3rd party apps but who wants to add more apps on their phone and maybe eat the battery on the background.

This is highly unlikely. Check piunikaweb they already mentioned there that a moderator from MIUI forums clarified that we'll get miui12, but unlikely to get Android 11. If you really want 11. Then wait for custom ROMS, but it may not be full MIUI Android 11 ports, rather from Pixel ports (one has already been released)

Yeah. Hopefully. Even if it is a port, or a custom ROM, I would still install that on my device.

You misunderstand me. Even if they give android 11, the actual features don't arrive with the update. You will have to wait couple of years more to see native features of android 11 to implement into their MIUI ecosystem.
For example, custom DNS was introduced with Android 7.0 or 8.0 but it really came to xiaomi devices with MIUI 11 in 2020 year only.
On Xiaomi devices going from android 10 or 11 is as unsubstantial like changing security patch from august to september. Most of the people won't notice anything different.
We will 100% get Android 11 as a custom rom. As a matter of fact, it already is a thing. (Search xda) We won't get it officially as all non-pixel devices get only 2 android upgrades.
As far as XDA is there with active dev's updates offically from miui isn't a big deal for me ! Although our dev's are far more better than offical miui cause custom Rom are becoming far more Stabler than stock and in features . :fingers-crossed:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/poco-f1/development/rom-reloadedos-t4162237 11 is out for poco f1. Like i said, who needs xiaomis miui updates when you have xda. Long live the aftermarket software scene.
