Does this rom have dynamic vibration ?

Some pretty in-depth customization, also battery life is greatly improved and the device barely heats up compared to stock

Actual improvements in battery life? Gotta try this to believe it! Battery life sucks on stock, and I've underclocked the GPU to 540mhz and it's still super hot in the hand
Edit: ROM is so smooth, highly recommend
Edit2: only issue I have is keyboard is much closer to the bottom of the screen now which is slightly less comfortable to use than stock
edit3: server class wifi works on this ROM which is a massive plus for my educational facility
4g and 5g reception have both been boosted for me as well in my workplace where i would not have 5g or 4g, only gprs

No, I don't want. For me enough say "Ok, Google". I prefer another functions on this button. In stock this button is s**t

ROM is so smooth and good battery life. But Android Auto protocol is missing, how can I fix that? Thanks!

If anyone has issue with android auto , uninstall android auto if you have it installed as a user app(android auto wont work unless is a system app) and flash this in recovery NikGapps-Addon-13-AndroidAuto-20230418-signed.zip , this is because the gapps in the rom are "core" ones, these have the bare minimum gapps framework for gms to work.

Thanks! But the addon cannot be flashed with this ROM's recovery. The link to TWRP for 1 III is removed, so, is there any way to flash this?

Does the Sony stock camera app work? And/or GCam?
Plans to keep this ROM updated and probably becoming official?
I really like the customization screenshots, I'm almost hooked

Hi,
Would you please tell whether this rom support hd content on Netflix and Prime? Does this rom have L1 cache?
Also, how is the battery back up?
A few screenshots would be helpful.
Awesome one! I will try it right away.

Woohoo it's finally here.
Before flashing the ROM, you might wanna use latest twrp to flash OOS 11.0.6.1 on both slots and then go about flashing ROM. You might end with L1.
Can you tell the steps for that?
Initial impressions-
1. Rom is fast. I think, other roms with Dora kernal start lagging after sometime. I hope Linux kernal is better. It seems to be better.
2. Default launcher is pixel launcher which has zero customisations. Not even, changing grid size on home screen and app drawer.
3. Netflix and Amazon prime don't support hd content because of L3 cache. I hope, it can be worked around.
4. No camera app is included in rom. OnePlus camera would have been perfect. Camera app would have to be sideloaded.
5. One big plus is that it supports face unlock. Other roms available currently don't support face unlock. Also, fingerprint unlock is very quick.
6. Battery life also seems good. There is option for avoiding battery drain when phone is idle and it works very well.
Nice Work, it's my first costume Rom since the OP6. I will give it a try.
One problem: Magisk root request is amazingly slow, takes 5-10 seconds

#2 If you want to change grid size touch & hold on home screen and choose Wallpaper & Style, scroll down and you have it. Pixel Launcher is better for me, because I like the authentic Pixel look, with new A12 style date and weather widget on home screen.
#4 No camera app is a big bummer and it's very strange that we don't have a fully working GCam 8.4 mod for guacamoleb.
Why screen blinks whenever I lock phone by pressing power button? If it is not bug then how to change please.

I did not include a camera app as we are not allowed to include OOS cam and most people seem to not like camera2. Just firgured this was the best way to go about it. Then people can just install their preferred app. I use Gcam Wichaya and it works well for me
Firstly thanks to maintainer for this rom. I've been using it about 3 days and here is my thoughts.
1- I haven't encountered any major issues, the rom works fine as my daily driver. But sometimes lockscreen shows two different clock at the same time. Idk if its my fault or a bug but its there. (screenshot attached)
2- Overall, the rom is fast and smooth. I can see little stutters here and there but its rare.(except twitter app but probably apss fault)
3- Battery life seems fine to me. I haven't encountered any major battery drain and also overnight battery drain is around %3 which is very good.
4-Wichaya gcam works fairly good. Face and fingerprint unlock works almost perfect. If you are looking for a custom rom, i can recommend this one.
After a reboot, the alertslider must be switched to re-set the profile. If it is on vibration and I reboot, the sound is back to normal and the slider is on the vibration position.

Not sure about controllers but HID devices should work. (working on implementing controller support and better HID support by default)
Nice Work! Hope this project can continue to be maintained.
Thank you for your great work!
A few feedbacks after 1 week of using your ROM
Most features work very smoothly, can use Photo Pro, Cinema Pro, RAM uses less than Stock ROM
Bugs in my device
LED light only works when charging, not when there are missed notifications or missed calls
Bluetooth Audio does not work (a Bluetooth headset device can be connected to the phone but no sound, like the Sony SP800N)
Recommended for daily use? Yes, if you are not using a bluetooth headset

If you've had Magisk flashed before you need to reflash it again, go to the steps below the Clean Flash and do the same again, then reboot and you should still have Magisk
Post-Install: (DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP OTHERWISE YOU WILL BE MISSING ESSENTIAL APPS FOR THE CAMERA & XPERIAPARTS)
Due to some weird ROM bug not all apps are installed by default, head over to the Download folder and go to the Post-Install folder and download all the APKs then install them manually, this step is HIGHLY recommended.
For the Camera button I suggest Installing Key Mapper and then configuring it as in this and this picture. (Screen off button detection is only available for rooted users)

I mean yeah if you do a build without GApps, sure but my builds will always have GApps since I will enable EROFS support somewhere down the line and GApps packages won't be able to be flashed anymore at that point

*/
Notes1. You need to flash Stock Android 13 before flashing this ROM (61.2.X.X.XXX)2. If you came from a SODP based ROM, you need to go back to official Android 13 firmware, and boot until you get to the Xperia Launcher3. 120Hz & HS (Renamed to Pause Charging) can be enabled from the QS Panel4. FYI Using the "Show refresh rate" option in the Developer Settings while playing a 4K60FPS HDR video will cause the phone to become extremely buggy so do NOT do this! (A reboot will solve this but still DON'T do it)
5. Camera addons can't be installed by default, but you can install them if you flash the module provided at the bottom of the postSupport group available on Telegram!

What's broken?• Smooth Display (Just turn it off as soon as you boot into the OS since functionally, it does nothing)

Hi Sakuu, nice ROM. Something I was waiting for.
Sadly it seems like I have no phone number, but I do have LTE.
I did have some issues with not being able to connect if the modem blobs were invalid, but I've yet to see this problem. Any ideas?
Edit: I flashed stock A13 back and I still have no phone number. I don't think this ROM is at fault.
Edit2: Well this is embarrassing. I put in my work SIM and that one worked immediately. I think my SIM card just offed itself, very unfortunate timing.

I had some issues with the SIM card too but just changing the APN fixed it, also with the phone number I think it pulls it from your Google account or something? But you shouldn't have any issues calling or stuff like that. It just doesn't show up in that specific page, that's all. I've also had my SIM die too it was very old and scratched so yeah at that point they need to be replaced.

Well, that's the problem. Calling and getting called was fine, but SMS was broken. Bit of an issue with 2FA and setting up whatsapp. It randomly "fixed" itself some time later but it still says unknown number.
Experience so far is a bit all over the place.
The great things:
The amount of customizability is amazing, so many things I can change to what I want without having to resort to lsposed and magisk modules. Especially button control was an absolute pain in the ass to setup on the stock rom.
Having magisk boot images makes life a lot easier.
Finally a toggle between "sane" and native res.
Extensive power menu is nice
Did I mention it looks great?
Very clean ROM! But I think leaving out a browser is maybe a bit too clean :>
But some things are not great...
Lots of slowdowns in the ui. It is very clear that the phone is not outputting 120fps at times.
Very poor battery life compared to A12 stock (with root and some mods, but nothing power related)
Missing fingerprint rejection. Trust me, if I lock the phone with the button I do not want to unlock the phone with 1 microsecond.
Device is a bit too trigger-happy waking up. I have the device laying next to my on my desk on the wireless charger and it seems to trigger for no reason.
I'll be using it a bit more and share some of my experiences, but so far it looks very serviceable, a lot better than some GSI roms definitely.
Regarding power, not the first time on new boot battery life was poor. I'll be doing some testing and tweaking the settings to see if it improves with some settings (or by itself).

Regarding the browser, Play Store and GMS are installed by default so the user can install whichever browser he/she wants without forcibly installing Chrome as a system app and then having to disable it if they don't want it. Also about the fingerprint vibration and the device waking up, in case of the fingerprint I think there's a option in either AOSP mods or somewhere in the settings to disable it while the screen is off and for the screen waking up randomly, you can just disable waking the display when it's plugged in under the "Display" option.
Performance and battery life is a bit hit or miss right now, yes the kernel needs some work but I'd need pretty active testers to test new kernel images for me, kinda like how Freak07 does it. And after that battery life should be massively improved and the heat reduced too. And ofc that kernel will all the changes will ship with this/future ROMs going forward.

Nice one Saku! I ran CherishOS on other devices, along with Spark it is the most balanced ROM - enough but not too many features, pretty stable, have been in active development for years. Hopefully no branding kerfuffle is going to happen like with Ricedroid. Will you build dirty-flashable updates for Cherish in the future?

It's more about whether you are going to keep building it when it gets updated. I'd prefer not having to do clean installs every couple of months to get latest security updates. Also, 4.7 was announced literally hours after you published 4.6.1

As I said above, depends on what's actually being updated if it's a major upgrade like 13 > 14 clean flash is required or if hardware repo is updated (the stuff that lets you enable creator mode and mess with battery care) then you need to clean flash since XperiaParts will get all messed up...

You created quite good ROM but what the reason to chnge the model? mcpro24fps more flexible to record video, you can even switch modules on fly, change birate, and so on... And most usefull option is disable noise suppression, is the best thing to improve quality.

None or they're too small to be noticed and all camera apps are preinstalled by default like on stock.

yep, everything works fine. Sometimes, prolly bc of my high usage, when i pass the screen lock, it goes back to lock screen, so you basically have to introduce the pin/face id two times. But this happens rarely
