'e: Missing bitmap b4,b5,b6,b7,b8,a10'
and touch buttons don't work.
It boots ! do you want to know something in particular?
I noticed a huge usage of RAM: it stays on 30/50m Mb, while before I've 100/120 Mb with the same apps in background
But after ran zipalign and sqlite script, my free ram is back, sorry

I said at all times.
@cnc-rock
"What kind of logic is that? You need proof to say that something works or not AFAIK.
First of, I have my concerns if JB is faster from ICS for our devices. Having tested it I can say it is not (at least - not as is) and this is NOT ONLY my personal opinion.
You should always compare under the same circumstances: - strip ICS to the bare mimimum, as your JB rom is, and compare them using the same benchmarks or user actions. Having tested various solutions and approaches since the 4.1 code was merged in CM, benchmark scores are much poorer and UI feels pretty much the same if not worse.
Having talked with some people from the CM team I can tell you this is the case for msm7x27 (if not more archs too).
Regarding project butter...
This is a combination of software solutions developed by *google* for the top class phones that *google* has (yet):
1) Touchscreen driver which throttles the cpu on touch (this might be a kernel or user-space thing)
2) Triple buffering for sustaining 60 fps
3) Vsync
On the msm7x27 platform what of these has a chance of working is 1), if its done in user space (haven't grepped the code yet in order to be sure that its done in user space)
For 2), out hardware is not capable of that - forget it
For 3), the kernel you are using has vsync disabled in order to improve performance. This is a common hack used across older qcom devices to get their ui to an acceptable level for ICS. With vsync on, UI is a lot more sluggish both in ICS and in JB.
I don't usually go ranting in other people's threads unless there's something seriously wrong being claimed.
Good luck with your project."
This is what naa said about project butter.

see change log
-Enabled vsync

and he said that rom runs on 60 fps ... so we have the project butter except the touch responsiveness part..... i am just confused.... just asking....

Already in your signatures and this has been recommended by FXP himself search CM 9.1 forum.
I still have to try this kernel and looks promising to me in Rachit's Kernel battery was way better comparing to FXP Original Kernel.

I'm either retarded, or it's not possible to enter the recovery without Rebooting into Recovery from OS. Tried tapping Vol up, Vol down, Power, Focus and Camera buttons while LED is flashing different colors, nothing happens.
How do I?
Also I noticed the touch recovery doesn't have the crazy amount of "No"s in confirmation dialogue, which I find pretty logical.

I had a very same problem. By accident i have discovered that recovery is entered by pressing POWER button repeatedly just at the end of led color blinking sequence (start pressing just about violet color). But be careful to stop pressing immediatelly when phone vibrates. If power is pressed with recovery on, phone reboots immediatelly.

I tried once more and it is definitely not volume up, it is POWER button. Is there really a reason for enterign recovery to differ from all other kernels?

Yes indeed, it's the Power button that enters recovery after LED flashes and vibrations.

I use ondemandq/sio. Battery lift is good. don't lost wifi connection while sleep. I give 5 star for this kernel.
Just found one big PLUS of this kernel - in CWM it is able to mount internal memory (/sdcard) to PC via USB! (helpfull when you somehow damage ROM so it won't boot anymore).

Flashed your kernel via AROMA Installer. My phone boots up but stuck at bootlogo. It's the same problem if I flash a CM kernel on a stock rom. Any ideas?

OC stands for "Overclock" and NON OC stands for "Non Overclock". Ok, let's say, our device have 1GHz processor, with the OC kernel, you can make your device's processor clock at 1.15GHz.
I ve installed oc and it works perfectly!!!

Thanks and like always nice work man.. :good:
If your device is rooted go into /system/media/
If there is a a file called bootanimation.zip you can delete or rename it to bootanimation.zip.bak and that will remove the boot animation.

Usage of some features
Dynamic management of dirty page writeback
What is does?
- Allows to dynamically manage the dirty page writebacks with two different intervals, one when the screen is on and another when the screen is off. By using a higher interval we have better performance and less battery consumption, with a very low risk of data loss.
Thanks to Christopher83 and kingBABAsula.
Usage-
To enable it:
Code:
echo 1 > /proc/sys/vm/dynamic_dirty_writeback
To disable it:
Code:
echo 0 > /proc/sys/vm/dynamic_dirty_writeback
To customize intervals (in centisecs):
Code:
echo xxxx > /proc/sys/vm/dirty_writeback_active_centisecs
echo xxxx > /proc/sys/vm/dirty_writeback_suspend_centisecs

com.android.phone has stopped on v3
v2 works fine
First off, a big thank you for your amazing work, yet again.
Downloaded and flashed v3 and the recoveries work great. But as the ROM boots phone FCs along with other things. I did clear cache and dalvik after flashing.
The dual recoveries are indeed a great feature. I'd also like to request that you add Performance Control kernel features because they are really great.
Secondly, when the phone boots the LEDs light up as red, yellow and green. It would be great if you could change it to all blue, because it looks decent that way in my opinion.
Thanks a million again for your great work.
