i bought zero lemon for my n2 from this seller.
The product is genuine and the seller is good.

Sweet. been waiting for this for awhile. Thanks!

No information on official website about g3 tricell. Is that official account on ebay?

Are those pictures supposed to be true representations of the actual case? I noticed there aren't holes for the IR blaster and top Mic.
Sent from my LG-D850 using XDA Free mobile app

Really ugly, buying a smartphone with a wonderful design like the G3 and wrapping it into a concrete block

http://www.androidheadlines.com/201...g-g3-zero-lemon-9000mah-extended-battery.html

I ordered mine earlier today, and its supposed to be here middle of next week

Just ordered, when it arrives im turning every option back on and brightness 100% all day. haha

When you guys get it in let ever one know how it is. One of the few things I want to know is how are the rear buttons? That's the main thing really. Other than that only other small worry is the rear speaker volume after the case is on.

I believe it is. Note that the back speaker holes are actually on the bottom. The battery would be on top of the speaker so the closest way out would be to the bottom. I am not terribly enthusiastic with ZL's new design. I wish they stopped trying to out-ugly the Otterbox and made the smallest possible cover as before.

I didn't even think about the battery covering the speaker. Has that been confirmed? That's kind of a deal breaker for me. Glad I haven't already made the purchase.

I have not seen the actual G3 battery, but I've seen their batteries for other phones. They way they achieve their monster capacity is that the battery does not just occupy the battery slot, but pancakes over the whole back surface of the phone. It does not reach as high as the camera, but everything else on the back gets covered up. In addition, I can't think what other purpose would have the four holes on the bottom edge if not for the speaker. You can see both the holes and how the battery covers up the speaker in the third picture of that ebay link. OFC it would still be muffled that way.
TBH, even though I was a loyal customer previously, I think I'll pass on this battery for now too. My reasons are:
1. I need an everyday use device, not a ruggerized brick that I could use as a weapon in a tight spot.
2. Covered ports - in addition to finding a dock compatible with this monstrosity, I now need to fiddle with port covers
3. Muffled speaker. I spend plenty of hours on teleconferences and a loud speaker is important to me.
4. I finally jumped on on the wireless charging bandwagon and there is no going back. I just love the convenience of just putting the phone down and picking it up whenever without messing with connectors. I bought a couple of chinese TYLT ripoffs for home and office and a one touch car phone holder with wireless charging. With G3s excellent stock battery life, I am covered for day to day. I also applied for their spare battery promotions, so I think I'll be OK for flying/traveling as well. I will test that theory soon.

Didn't realise the speaker covered up until after I purchased. If its bad when I get it, I may just cut a whole out haha. Smh. or end up hestitantly using it.. hope its not the deal breaker. imam miss wireless charging too. But that extra battery life will be extremely handy

I tried to search another alternative and found this
http://www.ebay.com/itm/3800mAh-Bac...Cell_Phone_PDA_Cases&var=&hash=item19f2d72b40
and
this from mugen.
http://www.mugenbattery.com/mugen-power-extended-6200mah-battery-for-lg-g3/
how did you think for this extended battery ?

On their other products with rear speakers, they leave a channel under the battery where the speaker is and have a hole in the bottom of the case to direct it out. It's not ideal, but having a rear mounted speaker isn't really ideal either. If they are doing this on their G3 product, it should be OK.

This is on Amazon's product page:
Q: Looks like over sized case covers the back speaker is this true or is this just the picture. If case does cover the back speaker how does this work.
A: Thank you for your interest. ZeroLemon has manufactured the case and battery to reroute the audio to the bottom of the case. Rest assured this does not render the audio of your device. Please let us know if you have further questions or concerns. Regards, Holly

Mine came today and I love it. Adds much needed thickness and heft to the phone. Speaker doesn't sound attenuated. Buttons on the back can now be used without fear of fingering the camera.

Do the buttons work every time ? Also dose the case interfere with the camera, my g2 zerolemon case was not too good. The camera (especially with flash) would make pictures look bad. On the pictures one corner was blocked pretty bad. The buttons work 7 Times out of 10. Hopefully the fixed All that for the G3, if they did I'd love to have it.

Tilt 2, Why So Thick HTC!

If you take the battery cover off you will see the the tilt 2, touch pro2 is not really thick at all. Htc just simply does not know how to design with THIN in mind. The seem to just about alwats miss the mark in COVER design.
If some manufaturer would make a slimmer solution to cover the back they would make some good cash!
Right now I'm making some sort of "cover" to keep me from returning the tilt. Im right now using it with no cover at all AND I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
I mean take the cover off and hold it, fells GOOD doesnt it? Slide the screen up and use it, feels FANTASTIC. And it looks slim as well.
Man I hate the way they finish heir products!
Battery Cover Question
Anyone Know If The Battery Covers Between All Of The Touch Pro 2's Are Interchangeable? I Have A Tilt 2 And I Lost My Battery Cover... I Dont See Any On Ebay... Anyone Have Any Ideas?
I don't know man, I just took my cover off and it looks as though the difference in thickness is about the thickness of the cover. I held it in my hand with it on and off and it feels about that different. I don't see where having the cover off makes any functional difference.

I have a tp2, also saw the tilt2. the battery cover on the tilt looks very different, and yes, the battery cover for the tilt2 makes it look bulkier. the cover for the tp2 is basically a lightly bevelev flat piece of plastic. the total thikness of the cover is maybe 4 or 5 mm.
The one thing about the T-Mobile USA version I like, The battery cover is slim & don't cover the MicroSD Slot, plus the stylus doesn't go through it.
EDIT: Oh, btw, in the future please post in the correct forum. This has nothing to do with ROM Development. There are plenty of threads about cases/housings/battery covers/etc in the Rhodium accessories section where this belongs.

Speaking of, working on porting T-Mobiles MyFaves App. Have it ported & working, just the TF3D page won't show, no point releasing it till I can figure that out. I have all the _manila files (I think) & it still doesn't show.
wrong forum but yea. I don't really feel the difference. I like the way it is. It's not thick at all to me. It's just right.
LOL at the OP. The battery cover is NOT thick and adds 1mm at most (not 4 or 5 as someone else said). Unless the AT&T one is different from all the others (wasn't mentioned in the reviews), in which case blame AT&T not HTC.
Also, it's going to be really funny when you activate your moisture sensors and short out your battery while using your phone with your cover off, all so your phone is 1mm thinner. I'd go ahead and put that cover back on right now before you can't return it anymore.

No no nooo, It's not just about a mm, its about design.
The plastic is probably about a mm thick BUT the ALL AROUND desing is just more bulky than it needs to be.
For those of you that say you can see or feel any difference, do you have a chunky wife? Just kidding, but really, how could you not feel or see any difference?. Maybe you guys are just use to thick phones from htc. And since they are making them a LITTLE slimmer these days you guys are just happy.
But I have a 3gs and putting one in each hand you can see and feel the bluk.
But, like you guys, I love my tilt 2!
Btw, thanks to the guy who posted the website that sells the battery cover! Going to have to buy one just to mess with it and make it slimmer. I can always make it fit the tilt if its made for some other carrier.
Oh for crying out loud... make your peace with it. I can't believe we're actually having a discussion about this. You must have really tiny hands if you can feel whatever difference you are talking about.

You seem to forget there is one HUGE, GLARING, PINK ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM difference, we have a sliding hardware keyboard. If the Iphone had a sliding keyboard, it would be "bulkier." Some people are ok with the software keyboard, i am not, and never have been. My fingers are no where close to dainty. So having a hardware keyboard is a must, plus I actually can compose full emails and correct my mistakes quickly which i think is the biggest problem with a software keyboard.
I'm actually quite pleased with the form factor of the Tilt 2. I wasn't expecting it to be thinner than the Tilt, somehow I missed that in the reviews and specs. I was expecting something somewhat big and bulky, and was actually quite impressed with how slim and sexy it feels.
I don't have a TP2 to compare. But the Tilt 2 feels good to me. Similar to previous responses, I don't see how they could really have slimmed down all that much, at all. Cover off is really not any thinner than cover on.
Comparing the Tilt2 to a iPhone is ridiculous. If the iPhone had a keyboard, it would obviously be thicker.
You're seriously using the phone with the battery cover off? You're just begging for the thing to become damaged.

If this works, It would still need to be modded for the PTT button that att added.
I agree with the others above, there is not a huge difference in thickness.... a difference around the edges yes, but nothing major.
And put the case back b4 you void the warranty (ie above post, moister sensor)

Why not just pop open the phone and remove the camera?
The bondo idea was the best, you could buy a new phone cover, chop out a section of the old one and use bondo to secure it, sand it down and it should look stock.

yeah I'd do that and just switch covers when you want
So in this area, you cannot carry a camera, but you can carry a sound recorder and 2-way communication device? Sounds odd.
I mounted a thin metal plate to the whole flat section of the back of my G1 so I could stick it to a large neo magnet that is glued to the dash in my truck. I don't care about the compass not working. Plus, I have tested it after about 6 months. If I put a regular back on it the compass still works great. No lasting effects.
I used the side of an old computer case. Cut out the shape I needed. I cut out a hole for the camera and speaker but you could just cover the camera and leave the speaker free. After I got everything smooth, I gave the whole thing a brushing with 150 grit sand paper in a uniform direction. Then I put it on my kitchen stove top on high for about 5 min to blue the metal. It gives it a great finish that resists rusting and isn't sticky or easily scratched like paint.

I am amazed that sticking your phone to a big-ass magnet all day has no lasting effects..
None what so ever. GPS works great. Accelerometer works great. Doesn't affect storage or memory. Again, I took the back cover off after about 6 mo. Compass works fine. Must be because it's solid state.
wonder if this guy ever figured it out?
very easy way would be to peel the piece of glass off the back of the phone cover and replace it with a piece of sheetmetal so they know there isnt a hole in it. you can get scraps from pretty much anywhere and shape them with a dremel...

Thoughts on Aluminum Bumper

I have never purchased anything from Ebay before, so I was hoping to get the opinion of those who are more experienced about case purchases from their. I was searching for a nice high quality bumper case, and I found quite a few on Ebay but one of them stood out the most, just seemed a lot more premium than the others (from the pictures) and way more thought out, has all the mic holes unlike some of the others where the one on the bottom corner is covered, even the rubber padding on the inside is engraved with the manufacturer logo (G.LIDER), and comes with a nice little screw cap screwdriver key chain. Hope to get your thoughts on it.
I included some images and here's the link/links:

Found a review on the Galaxy Note 2 forum where someone reviews 2 aluminum bumpers, he seems to lose a bar with the bumper on. Might greatly effect my data signal since i only get like 1-2 bars from Verizon at any given place in the Tampa Bay area but not my wifi.

I had a similar metal bumper on my Note 2. The signal definitely decreased and my GPS kept having issues with attaining a lock/maintaining the lock
So actually, I just got mine, not sure if it's the same one, but I see no decrease in signal.
I tried speedtest.net app, but didn't see decrease in speed (at least significant enough).
I mean there was a slight decrease in speed, but that was like around 1~2 Mbps, and I'm still getting around 23 Mbps.
I learned a valuable lesson using metal bumper case, it scratch the trim and cause the paint to peel off. Also, many reported signal drop a bar or two.
I had an aluminum bumper on my iPhone 5 and had horrible signal. I personally would not recommend and aluminum bumper even though they look really nice on the phones
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
As far as I know the Note 3 doesn't have the phone antenna located in any corner, it is located from the top to the bottom, so there will be no issue in phone signal
Different thing is GPS antenna...

Can you post some pics of it? Yea i don't think its a huge loss in signal, im usually on wifi so it doesn't matter much since i get full bars in all my classes, home and work, might be a problem on 4g since I only get like 1 bar. Does it in any way scratch the device, especially that chrome painted rim around the phone?

It's quite a significant loss in signal. A bar or two. I only had mine on for about a day and I sold it for my N2. In areas where I'd normally get a slightly lower signal, the phone would drop reception altogether. Unusable.

We don't have too many options in good looking bumper cases otherwise i would just buy a plastic one, its either this or the Spigen Neo Hybrid and that flimsy plastic bumper isn't too assuring, a lot of people have gotten it damaged right out of the box and others who have used it previously on their galaxy S4 had it damaged within a couple months, I need something sturdy that will show off the squarish design of the Note 3
Would of been awesome if Belkin made a view case for any other device excluding the iPhone
I want something like this : http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-View-C...96559&sr=1-2&keywords=griffin+iphone+5+bumper
for the Note 3, been searching for a while and cant really find anything similar except for those aluminum bumpers, the closest I have found is the Luvvitt Clearview but its still rounded instead of square and the bumper part is made of TPU.

That's actually the temperature/humidity/etc. sensor. you can blow hot air into it and watch the temp rise with any sensor app. If you never use that stuff, I wouldn't think it'd be a big deal. But the reception loss could be a big bummer.

Actually, I drilled a hole in my bumper just this morning. The outcome is unfortunately not so pretty as my newly drilled hole was offset at first, but I think I can live with that.

That's actually the temperature/humidity/etc. sensor. you can blow hot air into it and watch the temp rise with any sensor app. If you never use that stuff, I wouldn't think it'd be a big deal. But the reception loss could be a big bummer.

Weird that they would include a cutout for the barometer but not the mic lol, i would think the mic is a bit more important (phone calls, video calls, videos in general)

Sorry maybe I wasn't too clear on my explanation, I meant the corner mic is actually not a corner mic hehe, thats a hole for the sensors.

Oh ok lol, not all that important to me, I don't need my phone to tell me if its hot or cold when I step outside, im sure I can feel it.
Mars196 said:
Can you post some pics of it? Yea i don't think its a huge loss in signal, im usually on wifi so it doesn't matter much since i get full bars in all my classes, home and work, might be a problem on 4g since I only get like 1 bar. Does it in any way scratch the device, especially that chrome painted rim around the phone?

Check out my post in this thread.
Someone asked me almost the same question.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48113076#post48113076
But basically, for me, I saw no signal loss, 4G or 3G or cell signal, or even GPS.
I do use Verizon, which tends to be very good where I live.
Also, it does have black sticker-like things inside so that sides are not scratched.

Wterproof Casing

http://list.qoo10.sg/gmkt.inc/Goods/Goods.aspx?goodscode=412947105 if any of you guys is interested in this kind of casing looks similar to the one for the iphone. Not sure whether they ship international across the globe.
Interesting, and not too pricey either. Wonder if its actually quality though.

according to what i've read is an exact OEM version from the iphone. was wondering too. guess i should buy and try it out soon.
Id be a little worried about a case like this. If anyone gets it please review it casue it is definitely intriguing. How would the capacitive buttons work though?

well I look forward to your review. I don't plan on dunking the guy in water, but it could come handy when I know I'll be in some harsher environments I.E. camping, skiing, etc.
edit: according to some ebay sellers, it's not waterproof. Just very water resistant, but would still serve my needs.
I really liked the concept, right up until I realized it looks like there is no way to remove the stylus, which I understand but not for me if thats the case.

there's a rubber thingy on the capacitive button for you to press in the picture... i've ordered mine. will be back for reviews once i get my hands on it.
additional links for the case http://www.lovemeicase.com/pro.asp?id=38
Found a review for the s4 version, probably some similarities to it.

yeah. it's the same brand as the one i posted
found it for $29 shipped on ebay so I will report back what I think once I get it
even if not water proof it might not be hard to "finish" the deal and make it actually waterproof. I wonder if we can get a IR remote to "control" the phone (IE turn screen on and off and start camera and start stop recording. ie the basics.
4k underwater should be neat!
Looking forward to your review of the case. I am really looking for a waterproof case and Lifeproof doesn't have any plans of making one. Let me know what you think. We can always use the camera underwater when you change the setting to use the Volume up to take a photo or start the recording for a movie.
I'd be interested in participating in a petition for a LifeProof case I'd pledge to purchase one for sure. Especially the Nuud one so that I can still feel my lovely TG protector
Please do post a review of this. One way to test the waterproofing is to fold up tissue paper or kleenex inside the assembled case and submerge it overnight. It's not a guarantee that it's solid, but it'd be some reassurance.
hmmm I was thinking then how do you turn it on and off you could always disable the lock screen all together (I think you can do that ???)
but if the camera does not stay loaded..... then you have to surface to do it since the touch screen won't work underwater
an IR remote simplifies things. because then we only need a water proof ir remote. we can then BUILD our own bullet proof 100% water proof cases no problem. since we won't have to interact and we can "BOLT" the phone into the case.
its one of the reasons I am excited about the IR blaster. my concern is that the IR blaster might be one way IE can transmit but not receive.
I wonder. will bluetooth work underwater if the two devices are "touching" each other?

No way I would ever intentionally submerge my baby in water, but if one wanted to they could possibly set up a tasker profile: Context: camera on, Action: display timeout (whatever length you want) for example +other goodies: brightness etc., and do some button remapping i.e. triple click home/whatever (open camera app), volume up/down (record/take picture). Probably need to get rid of that time limit for 4k as well -- thread floating around here somewhere. Just some ideas. Would love to see some videos if you ever end up doing it.
I would rather say after reading reviews off other sites on google the case is more or less likely water resistant and there is too much opening on the case for it to be 100% waterproofing cases. Will update with pictures soon as i have just ordered mine recently.

this case is NOT water proof. but I think I can MAKE it temporarily water proof. Fill in the mic holes plate that proximity sensor hole (and disable the proximity sensor) Fill in the speaker hole etc.. etc.. (use an ear piece)
go diving? NO but shove 12 inches under water to snap a pic or short video? maybe.
the point of external control is that it is then VERY easy to make a TRULY water proof case. think pelican box with a clear window for the screen and camera lens?
the MOMENT you need to access buttons you either need to use a weak flexible membrane OR you need to "compromise" the case and add water proof mechanical buttons.
eliminate ALL of that and suddenly interesting things are possible and at a price us SCHLEPS down here can afford !!!
have you SEEN how much money truly good quality water proof housings go for. $2500 for a good housing for my camera (good not the best just good!!)
if their were no buttons.... easy and cheap

LG G5 painted plastic coating?

LG G5 painted in plastic coating?
Jerry rig everything video shows alot of proof.
Most of the professional reviewers are scared to speak the truth. Why? Are you scared of LG?
It is a die-cast aluminium body which then has the antennas placed on the outside (because the signals wouldn't get through the metal) there is then a primer to help the paint bond to the aluminium and cover up the antennas. They then use a microdised finish over the top which is effectively a metallic paint.
It's not plastic it's just not been machined and anodised. They were going for a different take on the metal body that could allow them to hide the antennas.

A diffrent take lol. That plastic coating pretty much negates the need of having metal in a phone. Just make it out plastic if ythats all ill feel when holding it !
Most concerning part is the display assembly. So thin that you can see the pressure points when you select something. Maybe i am to demanding idk, but all the different phones over the years i have never experienced such thing.

You get the benefit of heat dissipation and rigidity/strength of the metal body instead of a plastic body.

im pretty sure no one complained about such thing with S5/G4 and earlier devices that used full plastic builds. You are delusional my friend, they are missleading consumers, & then coming out with some bs excuse, "we are doing it differently, we didnt want to do what everyone else is doing" !
I'm not delusional, people just seem to have got it stuck in their heads it is basically a full plastic build. There is plastic in every metal phone, just of varying degrees.
I've no issue with the way they have constructed the phone. If you don't like it then don't buy it.

i gotta see ppls experiences with the G5, its good to know how good the competition is doing this year , apparently there is none so far
I got the S7 Edge as well but was hanging around here to see if I liked the G5 as I still have one more jump until July with Tmobiles jump on demand.
Looks like I'll be waiting to see what the HTC 10 brings to the table.

The truth is LG G5 is ugly phone compared to galaxy S7 edge. I even think HTC 10 will be better then LG G5.
Am sorry to say.

definetly, the chanfer might be too big, but still, they are fixing what was broken in previous gens, & there software is the top OEM skin out there, so yeah it will be a good competitor to the S7/Edge.
It's called paint people get over it, especially from your gs7s
trolls everywhere…
seriously… this device has not been shipped worldwide yet and people already start complaining about built quality. get a life.
i preordered my g5 including a free camera module and i'm proud of that decision so far.
all thats left is that they start shipping to germany.
I keep wanting to think that the GS7E is good lucking. Maybe it's just that I'm coming from the G3 but....it just seems too damn narrow! But to be honest, the biggest problem is that I can't play with the GS7E at any of the stores, they're all on demo mode...maybe I should go into another carrier's store where there's one I can actually demo. Can anyone tell me whether your carrier typically has its demo phones NOT on retail mode? I'm on sprint here (and still undecided between G5/GS7E/GS7).

I per-ordered the G5 and got it Friday. I have had no issues with. This whole metal vs. plastic issue is a joke. Structurally speaking, this is great phone. They had to switch to the thin metal aluminum in the back because of the void between the back and the screen when you take out the battery. And when you do take the battery out, there's very little to no deflection.
I have an metal body iphone 5s for work and i hate it. This is so much better.

I'm not here to insult, just to inform on my experience thus far. However, i wish you wouldn't be commenting so negatively on this phone without using it for some considerable time. A 10 minute in-store demo use of the phone shouldn't count especially when you are looking for all the negatives. When i pick up a phone in the store i look for all the negatives first before the positives.
Like I said, the look and fell of this phone is great after 4 days of use. The main selling point for me was the removable battery and the camera. The battery seems like it's very easy to swap and the camera is superb. I took it to a show on Friday and the pictures where incredible especially in wide view. I'm sure the 7s takes better pictures, but i really like the wide angle.
I personally don't care for all the friends modules they're advertising.
Had i read your comments before i purchased the phone, i probably wouldn't have bought the phone. Let me know if you have any other questions and I'll be happy to answer.
