something (like an app) is keeping your phone awake. that's not related to the rom.

@androidfilesharing might be related to your cellular signal.. It sucks.. (apparently)

I have no new apps installed that I haven't installed on any other ROM and my signal is actually quite stable. I was just reporting what I have found after the first night. I can guarantee it is not an app issue

So, this is not intended to be naysaying your reply, but.. Apps working differently between ROMs is not unheard of. Just look at the games that run on some, but don't run on others if you want an example. There's a number of things between different ROMs that could effect the way your apps behave. App updates can also play a role in changing the behavior of the system. Toolchains, various build flags, the use of different libs, so on and so forth.
So, not to contradict you, but the only way you could guarantee it's not an app causing abnormal drain would be to run BBS or wakelock detector with root privileges to see what exactly is causing the drain.
Again, not saying you're wrong, just that you wouldn't know if it was an app without doing proper tests to verify. Or I guess if you were running the build without installing any personal apps.
Just my two cents.

It was a clean install with nothing installed. I do systems and Network engineering for a living. Testing systems is something I do quite frequently actually. I admit I didn't grab a log like I should have, but just wanted to point our something I found off. I'm still testing it out and slowly adding apps into the equation. I'll post updates as I have them

Tethering works....?

just out of curiosity, what makes this rom different from cynogen?
I've been watching this develop over in the Fascinate General thread for a while... I'm pumped this has finally come to fruition! Great job man.
WOW r2DoesInc, good to see you guys here, Ive been runing OMFGB on my Tbolt for a week now, it freaking flies! Now I can put it on my girl's fascinate WOOTT! Thank you for your hard work.
If I wasn't heading to work in an hour I would flash this in a heart beat. I guess I'll wait until I get home to test this out. Also I'm a metro pcs user and I'm curious if this will have data. *begins full backups of everything in preparation*

It's going to be a few hours before the ROM is dropped. Read up top.
Side note: Assuming we will be going back to DL09 and doing all this crazy MTD flashing again? Hopefully there will be some instructions for those new to OMFG Roms.
Google Alps can be downloaded and flashed from the god mode appear in the rom.
Install instructions are in the second post....

It's great to see this pop up in the Fascinate forums. I hope you guys keep up the dev work by taking some bug reports and sharing the device specific fixes with the rest of the crew should you come across them.
When would you suggest flashing the GAPPS? After flashing OMFGB package or after you flash the CM7 package again (post 3 finger recovery)?
edit: I'm guessing the OMFGB package means the OMFGB rom and GAPPS?

[ROM][GSM/CDMA] PlAyOSP 1.42 GSM & CDMA ONLINE! [CM9 BASED][4.0.4]

PlAyOSP 1.42

What is PlAyOSP?
PlAyOSP is an AOSP ROM for the Xperia Play (hence the name) and is built on top of CyanogenMod 9. PlAyOSP has some features not yet merged into CM, and some features from AOKP such as custom operator text.
So this is CM or AOKP?
Not necessarily, it is based on CM, and is more CM than it is AOKP. The difference is, if a hacky fix is submitted to CM, it is likely not to get merged. On the other hand, I will push it to my sources until a proper fix surfaces. Please do not use the CM bug reporter for this ROM.
Why is CMStats still there?
Because this is built on CM, it is only fair not to remove it. I have left all stuff for CMStats to function correctly. Consider this a KANG.
What features have you added that are not yet merged/not available in CM?
- Enable navigation bar at runtime.
- Change Recent Apps style at runtime, choices are, Sense 4 style, stock style and WEBOS style.
- Customise the navigation bar (not yet merged into CM) - allows you to rearrange buttons on the navigation bar.
- Custom operator text - change the operator text to anything you like - reboot if it does not apply correctly
- Change navbar height and width at runtime.
- Whole framework is themed (not yet merged into CM).
More features will come as CM and AOKP are updated.
Also, please post bugs for this ROM on this thread.
General Features:
- Theme chooser - whole framework theming - you can use any CM9/AOKP themes built for the theme chooser.
- Lockscreen customisation - add/remove and change up to four lockscreen shortcuts.

Keiran
Woow. Can we use Aokp Themes in this rom ?
I'm here!! Pax
Edit: Keiran, you wanna change the title to WIP for now?
oohh can't wait
Why? why people keep doing this? opening threads of roms that we will open to see and see nothing.
Recently there were two threads that even closed before they begin, opened as Placeholders, for what?
I mean no desrespect, but at leat some screen shots.
I´m really waiting for some CM9 themed (with low hope like a Sony) or anything else.
I'm confused isn't that what the aokp rom is already?
Sent from my R800i using xda premium
I'll try it! If it has good battery life and game support that is
KeiranFTW said:
PLAYOSP is a CyanogenMod 9 based ROM, with extra tweaks and customization that you won't see in official CM. Based off the CyanogenMod 9 source tree, this ROM will combine the best of both worlds with CM9 and AOKP, with other modifications added too.
Release is not yet, give me a week while I get things sorted
I'm hoping Pax will join me on this one

Well here's the thing. People get busy. People start threads because it's in the plan to continue the work, but far as any thread Keiran has started, he keeps up on them. But if you don't want to view the thread or just want to complain, then don't bother.

i switched often between aokplay and darkforest ics, both of them are awesome, but aokplay seems to have poor battery life and i dont get any sound over bluetooth.. those killed it for me, mainly the bluetooth..
this rom seems to be like... the both of them having a baby
i hope it wont have those problems, maybe you are able to test it keiran? ^^
ill test the rom for sure
keep up the good work, your roms are awesome!
Stuff I've done so far:
New ROM Settings app for tweaking stuff I've put in.
Added ability to customize operator text ("I hate Verizon" is a recommended choice ).
Added ability to play a sound on boot.
Sense 4.0 style recent apps.
And its all on my github, I'm watching CM + AOKP frameworks/base so I can merge stuff.

He's using cm9 as a base and adding features from aokp and cm9 and other roms into one.
Do you know if your adding the psxperia framework? Or the framework it uses if it has a different name.
Hey Keiran, I got CNA up, you just wanna use that as a base?

Confirmed: Flashing in TWRP 2.5.0.1 & 2.5.0.2 works just fine - just to point that out so that you don't need CWM if you don't want it ~ I personally like TWRP much more
Yes, you will need to flash a 4.2.2 GAPPS package if you want to use the play store or other GAPPS, they are not included. As with all Cyanogenmod ROMS, you will need to flash it separately. I believe Paranoid Android GAPPS work, they should at least - I didn't test it.
Along with what has been mentioned in not working:
I found that while you can connect to other devices via Bluetooth, it is very slow to do so and it is slow to recognize the other devices from the phone end. It also fails when sending or receiving files - at least for me.
-Waking up from sleep is laggy. Just a tad bit.
-Certain details don't seem as clear as they should be, such as the Google Search bar at the top of the screen, the Apollo Music Widget buttons, and the lock screen shortcuts. Just something I noticed, I am picky when it comes to detail and I noticed those things.
I'm not complaining or anything, just pointing it out for everyone to know.
This is a great start though, I am already really happy with this first experimental release from CM. I am getting great battery life and I'm using a lot, or to put it bluntly.. I'm testing it so the screen really doesn't go to sleep. Lol
I didn't expect this battery performance this early but it's great! Thanks CM!!!:good:

Looks like I'm getting a hangup bug. When dialing out, the phone doesn't change status from Dialing to [Timer] after the ringing starts. Then all attempts to hang up leaves the phone in a weird state but keeps the line open. Cleared dvalik and everything but still happening!
It also doesn't let me dial during a call. Like for inputting a passcode to access your voice mail.

2) One of the fastest of all the mods that are based on off firmware (works just gorgeous)
3) It also has a very good time working
4) Flashing the lightest of all the mods based off prishivkah
5) Replace the application on more functionality such as standard QuickPic gallery is a standard application and watches are now "watch from CM10"
6) The firmware has some applications darker tones
7) The standard browser is Opera Mini and standard Launher Nova and is also sewn Broken Google Market
8) The new drivers from CM11 gave a smoother work phone and a new driver for the processor from VANILLA added smoothness in games, offline CPU rendering
9) Sewn mod fonts and change the dialer
10) Sewn modes to improve the graphics
11) And a lot of stuff that I do not remember already

If you're a fan of playing games then you Сm10 and Stock RoM, they are the same only interfaces are different, if you are an amateur to sit and chat on the Internet, but do not play or play simple games that 10.1 cm for you there for a long time keep the battery. all from the same line of SBP correlatively performance, battery life, and beauty themselves choose to your taste and that's all)

Does Stok has the same problem about battery fix?

Stok has not the same problem about battery fix.
OMG, this ROM is perfect, better than other of your creation, but I think there is a problem with Sync, because contacts don't list in Contacts app and Accounts show me an error with that. Also the games and apps nos listing on Play Store, that is all I can report for now, while I use CM 10 SBP, but I really preffer stock.
Do you think you can solve Sync issue, Mr. @Plamb1r?

ROM looks good. Functioning smoothly. However I didnot see privacy settings option. Also I am just curious to know if you have any plans of implementing a wake lock blocker in the ROM itself?
Have installed it yesterday and will report back on the battery performance in couple of days. Good work though! Thanks for a new ROM
Hey great ROM so far except one minor problem. After setting some custom navigation setting(double and long press), the home button doesn't instantly go home, it hangs for a second. It was an instant transition before tinkering with the nav settings.

Settings - Apps, there you have Appops and Privacy Guard. I don't know if wakelock blocker will be included.

Is it navigation bar or hardware buttons that are the issue?

That is because you have assigned multiple functions to home key. It will wait for short interval to be sure you are done with your input. When it has no other function other than just navigating to home; it would quickly navigate. However if double press would introduce a lag in having a single press function. Its not a bug. I have seen this in other ROMs as well. Technical limitation i would say!

It's only if you set a function for double tap, with long press there is no delay with the home button
