Where is the setting to edit the second screen - LG V10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

This is driving me nuts. When I first set up the phone I was presented with a list of options to appear on the second screen (recents, favorite contacts, etc). Where is this setting?

options > display > second screen.
press the title: "show when main screen on" option and you'll have all those options there (don't press the toggle; press the actual title)

Aha! Thank you!

Simple AOSP lockscreen with JKay's app

Hi guys!
I was wondering if it is possible to use the classic AOSP lockscreen with JKay's theme manager. I mean just the unlock option, sliding from left to right, without camera, FM radio, sms and so on. Thanks in advance

Go into the jkay app, tap the options top left, top right etc then press menu and select not in use, unlock and sound toggle as you see fit.

first off, really new...this is my first post here.
I don't see the options. I am in the JKay app what I have is the following titles for option:
1) Lock Screen
2) Lock screen actions (long press for icons)
3) Lock screen wallpaper
4) Lock screen options
5) Miscellaneous
6) Phone options dialog
No options for me. I too want the simple look.
If it's ok, can you include screenshots?

Home screen voice prompt? !

Hi, if the media volume is up, regardless of if the phones on silent or not, zooming out to edit all home screens prompts a voice saying 'open home screen edit' .its really annoying and will get embarrassing in various situations! How do I turn this off?
Cheers

1. Disable "talkback" in the accessibility settings.
2. If this isn't enabled you probably have an app called "light flow" installed. There's a bug in ice cream sandwich which causes this error and you'll need to uninstall light flow until it's fixed.

Just to add, I had this problem with lights only when accessibility was checked for lightflow in settings. I also have it when tasker accessibility is checked. When they are both set to off, the voices stop.
Now to get rid of the ones in my head

HOW TO (3 Methods): Turn off display without using the power button

Good: Double tap any blank area of any home screen
Better: Double tap status bar
Best IMO: Download and install LMT launcher from here to setup PIE controls. If you find the LMT settings intimidating watch this video. It'll walk you through setup. Go to settings>Set gesture input and choose #2. Under the PIE tab select your pie piece and then under advanced command options choose KEY and put the number 26. Now when you access your PIE shortcut labeled "KEY" it'll turn off the display.
Thanks to members trh1341 and _Sofos_ for helping me figure this out.
These are good tips guys. While I knew all of this. It's good someone got the word out a lot of people don't know!

Method #4: Lock/turn off your screen by tapping the Lock Screen App icon from your home screen, app drawer, or recent apps : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kennethcheng.com.lockscreen.free
I used this on all my phones before I got my G2 and it worked flawlessly.
Does the LMT Launcher allow you to hide the stock soft keys?

You can also just wait anywhere from 30 seconds to 15 minutes and it will go off on its own, unless you have it on never turn off but I think it will eventually lol.
I am using nova launcher and double tap to turn on works fine but won't turn off. Double tap on the status bar is too tricky for me to operate on one hand.
Thanks to a xda user, to get it to turn off with double tap you will have to download /screen off/ app from play store and set the double tap quick key in nova to launch the app. Works like charm.

It's also easy to set up a Tasker task, and then call it on double tap from Apex or Nova
Elixir admin works too, but for some reason makes mine less responsive to double tap wakeup about 1/3 of the time
My favorite is Shake Off. A gentle twist or shake tturns the screen off and its adjustable sensitivity and direction options make it easy to keep from having the screen turn off too easily, pretty sure its free too. Very convenient and highly recommended.

[Q] hotspot button

On my spint galaxy note 3 under the notification panel in settings i do not have the hotspot button available is the a way to add it to the available buttons.
You need to use a program like SQLite pro to modify "Settings Storage", then "Settings", then scroll to "notification panel active app list". Once there, at the end of the list, add this exactly: WiFiHotspot;
Add the semicolon to. Restart then you're good. There's a thread in the themes section with more details.

Second Screen Signature disappeared

My second screen signature (while screen is on) disappeared out of nowhere. I can't seem to find how to bring it back. Everything else is still there...apps, contacts and stuff. Anybody else ever experience this?
Did you check the second settings (phone settings / second screen). You need to tap on the entry "Show when screen is on" (not on on/off). Then you can change the options and probably enable the signature again.
Reboot the phone it will return
