Bro have you enabled USB Debugging in Developer Options in Settings app? It'd be better

Enable OEM Unlock in Developer options and also remove all Google accounts before proceeding to flash using ODIN. Otherwise your device will be stuck in boot loop (with Samsung boot screen).

OTA updates probably won't, I guess
If you have already flashed TWRP recovery, then KNOX counter would have been triggered and no updates and warranty from Samsung. :crying:
But you can always flash new Samsung firmwares via Odin
just go to Samsung firmwares website and search for your model number and download the new updates manually

Hi
There is some bug in this recovery,
After I install it, when I tried to make a factory reset from the settings, the phone keep booting to recovery again and agian after the wipe. even if i choose reboot>system in twrp it keep rebooting into recovery, until I flashed the stock recovery again.
Can you fix this problem please? my device is J510FN.
Thank you very much!

Brightness bug is only in slider on the task bar ? Can I change the level of the brightness in settings ?
Cuz i need this function but i want to delete all.of trashes which samsung gave me . Last question if I will flash device to.orgginal software KNOX flag will be returning to correctly status and i shouldn't have problems with warranty?

Once you tripped KNOX to 0x1, it would be recorded at a E-Fuse which permanently marked that you have void the warranty. Samsung customer service centres would refuse to repair your device

I tried this methid and installed recovery image sucessfully. But after flashing Superuser.zip my phone stuck on Samsung logo. My model is J510FN. What may cause the problem. Any help is apprciated.

Hey!
I am getting this tab in 3 weeks, is there any "1 click root" method like vroot? If not can someone help me what to type in CMD? (i've installed cwm recovery on other my devices and custom roms too but they were way easier to root with one click methods)
You would need to use v1.0 for now. Safariking is fixing the v1.5 to make it all correct again. Have fun in the meantime folks and a good new year!

Much Easier...
FYI, change step 5 to then reboot system from twrp and choose to root the rom when prompted.
after booting into the OS using TWRP prompts of "play" and "normal" installed binaries and rooted no problems. no sideload or adb necessary.
TWRP handled this all just fine for me.
I also had to use Odin 3.09. 3.07 failed for me 3 times in a row.
(win 8.1/sm-t230un) wifi
I followed the instructions, but after it updated the firmware (first stage), it rebooted and went straight back into the normal OS, no changes.
Now when I try to access the download mode it won't - just keeps rebooting to normal OS.
Anyone any ideas? The Log bit from Odin says the following:

it sounds like your problem lies with step 4 and 5 after the flashing in odin is complete DONT let it reboot to android... when odin finishes and the tablet turns off and back on press and hold press power+vol up+home until it reboots the first samsung logo at which point let go of the power button and continue to vol up+home until you see TWRP logo now when in twrp just select REBOOT and then SYSTEM after android boots proceed to step 6 and 7 and you should now have root..
Awesome thanks for the help!
You should give credit to the original post as it did from ShinySide. This guide has been around for quite sometime now.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-4/general/root-galaxy-tab-4-7-t230-t2835264
Added: it's still working on the latest firmware.
Can't remember too well: I too let it reboot after odin but no problem going into TWRP (note the difference in combo buttons) and select Reboot and it will has a choice to root. No need to odin again.
Got there eventually, just need to find some decent roms for it now!!
hi, just bought this awesome tab. quick question, where can I download the driver?

Help im freaking out

I rooted my phone using odin3 then tryed to flash the sdk23 arm64 xposed framework using flashify
Now im stuck on the samsung word logo 'boot loop' and i don't know how to fix it:crying:
Also have a custom recovery [TWRP]
now i think i broke it :crying: i cant get into the recovery mode i dont why but i went to advance wipe and check all of it
also now doesnt do to the samsung word logo it stays on the samsung galaxy s6 powered by android screen
also when charging no green is seen just a empty battery with lighting bolt
plus KERNEL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING in red in the top left corner.
Think i basicallly wiped everything ohno
I'm struggling to understand why you were using Flashify to install Xposed, especially since you have TWRP. Regardless, you have to try and get it into Download Mode. If you can, you should be able to reinstall the original firmware.

1000 tutorials here on xda or youtube.
Basic structure:
find / download firmware
boot to Download Mode
open Odin as admin
place .tar or .tar.md5 file of the firmware in AP slot if one 1 large file or if it is split into multiple ones then they will be labeled obviously for BL, AP, CP, CSC just like in Odin.
Hit start and wait for a bit. If the flash is successful but it is stuck in a boot loop, then reboot to the stock recovery and reset it.

Bricked Samsung S6 G925F

Hi All,
I am having a real headache with my Samsung galaxy s6 been bricked, I will explain what happened and what I have done so far
I rooted my phone and installed a custom rom, upon the phone booting up it just boot looped so I tried to flash it back to stock and then the problem started.
I can get in to download mode and when I try and flash a stock rom file it fails at NAND wipe, the phone displays something about SW Rev Binary 4 phone 1, I have managed to flash the modem.bin file and can get in to recovery but that displays another message something like dm verify verification failed.
So now I am at a loss, I have even tried to flash a new pit file but just fails at NAND stage in odin.
Any help would be great.
P.S the phone it locked to o2 so I have tried o2 and the BTU stock roms.

Sw rev just shows up because the phone is rooted.
As for dm verity that is your imei messed up.
When flashing a custom rom you must always back up efs files which is your imei.
Its a ball ache reviving messed up imei without efs backup.
What i would suggest is boot to recovery and wipe cache partition, wipe data/ reset. Then try to flash stock again. I would flash 02 stock firmware 1st.
If no luck flash latest BTU firmware with zerolte_eur_open pit.

Hi All,
I am having a real headache with my Samsung galaxy s6 been bricked, I will explain what happened and what I have done so far
P.S the phone it locked to o2 so I have tried o2 and the BTU stock roms.

cannot flash TWRP on my Samsung Galaxy S3

Hello,
Recently I bought a second hand Samsung Galaxy SIII 9300 with Android 4.3. Because of privacy reasons I’d like to install cm 13.0 on the phone. I already had CM on my former phone, the Nexus 4. This was very easy to install, but I have some difficties with the Samsung Galaxy S3. These are the things I already tried:
I tried to install TWRP 2.8.4 and CWM via Odin 3.1203 in Windows 8. You can see here the log:

I enabled USB debugging
I unchecked Auto-reboot in Odin.
After I installed TWRP I removed the battery.
Can you help me with my problem?
According to Odin, TWRP succeeded. Can you boot into TWRP? You flashed the correct version of TWRP?
Hello
I cannot boot into TWRP. I am sorry to put it in my question, but that is my question. I tried to flash TWRP 3.0.2.2
Open Odin, only check f reset time, flash, when you see the "reset" in the Odin status window, remove USB cable from phone, remove battery, replace battery, use buttons to get into TWRP.
Root then flash. Flash Chainfire autoroot then flash your recovery, then flash your rom.

I worked!!!! I has to root the phone and than flash TWRL. Thankt you very much!!!

You're welcome. Further advice is to make a backup of your phone once it is set up as you like it. That way, if anything goes tits up you have half of the job already done.
With twrp it's only a matter of time before it (twrp) goes mental and you'll have to resetyour device amd start over. I found the last official clockworkmod recovery the most reliable and have had 2 solid years from it. Also, get a copy of your stock rom from somewhere. You'll need that one day too!.

Can you add a password option? Everyone can run twrp holding 3 buttons and get full access to filesystem Everyone can even brick device wiping system. It's a huge security hole, isn't it?
