What are the SKUs? - Nokia 7.1 Questions & Answers

Just picked up mine from Argos in London, come to set it up with my SIMs and found I've got a single SIM tray
It's clearly listed on the site as being dual SIM so I'm going to have to return it.
I have SKU 11CTLL01A13, does anyone have the SKU for the dual SIM version?

There is only one simtray, which should contain one slot for a SIMand another slot that works either for an SD-card or a second SIM-card:

Here are some images, sorry for the quality, it's really tricky to get images of something this small!!!
I hope you can make out that the slot labelled "1" in a SIM shaped outline is taller than the slot marked "SD".
The second shot shows how the SIMs compare when laid on top of the tray.
I could probably force the tray shut! But I don't fancy that

Long and painful conversation with Nokia in summary, I have a TA1100 single SIM model. There is no Dual SIM model officially available in UK.
I will be returning it for a refund as it's not the product listed.
WORD OF CAUTION FOR OTHER BUYERS: Argos are currently listing (@time of edit) the Dual SIM version but they only stock the single SIM .They will probably update their listing in the near future. ADDITIONAL: Argos were happy to refund
* They track their model variants (at least in customer service land) using the model numbers "TA1nnnn"
Below are the details I've gleaned so far.
** TA1100 - EAN: 6438409024077 - SKU: 11CTLL01A13 - Single SIM - Purchased UK
** TA1095 - EAN: 6438409023438 - SKU: 11CTLL01A07 - Dual SIM suitable for the UK
** TA1096 - Single SIM
** TA1097
** TA1085 - Dual SIM
Nokia customer service do not recognise the terms EAN or SKU.
This EAN is listed on a number of EU web stores, but I cannot find the Nokia model number - EAN: 6438409023438, SKU: 11CTLL01A07
Thanks for your help @TobbeTabb

My Phone Number : Unknown

I got my SGS III as an upgrade on Orange through Car phone warehouse.
I got through them cos their phones are unlocked so I could use my 3 contract simcard in it as I use that as my main number. But I have noticed in the About Device menu that the number is "Unknown". Yet when I put my orange sim (contract) or my friends 3 (PAYG) sim in the number does show up.
This isn't a major problem as the phone works, but I just wondered if anyone knows why this is?

Try putting the SIM in an iPhone and look at the SIM phone number. Perhaps 3 ship there's blank.
I had to get a mate with an iPhone to change my number on the SIM after I ported it on t-mobile

Even my phone (in india) doesn't show the phone number.
How can we put a phone number in there without having an iphone?
Wanna use apps needing this number like tikl.

Seems pretty hit or miss. My S3 says unknown but if I put it in my brothers' Note, it shows up just fine. Besides, I'm sure everyone already knows their own number

The number will show up if it is in the SIM card.
A typical problem scenario is the upgrade where you get given a new SIM card which either has no number in it ("unknown") or a different number that apparently gets changed when you register the new card. Unfortunately, although the phone works using the identity of the new number, the number actually in the card remains wrong and that is what the S3 shows.
It's a classic problem that most android devices can't edit the number in the SIM. There is an app that claims to be able to do it if you are rooted, but dunno if this works with S3. Usual solution is to use another phone like an iPhone that can edit it.
Annoying omission on Google's part if you ask me...
What is this app called?

Thank you very much! Still waiting for my I9305 to be shipped, and it's probably going to be locked too. Going to travel in March 2013, so I'm glad to hear it can be unlocked already.
Had to cut my Three SIM down to micro sim size but thats no big deal when the outcome is such a good phone.
Where did you get the phone from in the UK?
also what speeds are you getting with 4G in the UK?
I got the phone from T-Mobile shop in manchester. The EE 4G service hasn't been rolled out nationwide yet so currently still just on 3G until the end of the month.
Will be great to see what the UK can get

[Q] Cannot make calls with SII I9100

Good morning guys (i am writing from Sydney so for someone good afternoon),
i bought a second hand phone on gumtree due by the end of my other phone and i am having some issues.
I bought a Samsung Galaxy SII I9100 seems to be brand new even still the plastic cover on the screen, by the way i flashed the phone with the NeatRom
The phone is working 100% fine the only thing that i can't do is calling someone
I have signal on the network and i can even go online using my phone, no wifi, but sadly i cannot make outgoing calls.
I tried loading other ROMS but same problem and i found the NeatRom the more reliable and fast for my experience so i decided to go back in to this.
Now guys i need your help, i could buy a new phone and throw this one away but I like challenge and i would like to get the problem fix.
I notice that many users have the same issue and they reckon could be some application loaded into the phone.
Any idea or suggestion?
I was thinking to load back the Rom stock version?
What do you think?
Could be that the phone has been stolen and locked by the provider (VODAFONEAU) ? in this case what i should do?change provider?change IMEI?
I checked the IMEI on the back and is the same that you get if you query the phone with *#06#
I attached few screenshot taken with the phone to better show the issue, if you notice in the last one i tried to call and i get back a message from the system "we currenlty accept only US number". so wierd...
Thanks in advance to all for the attention paid to help me.

1) You absolutely cannot change IMEI. Any further discussion of this will see your thread locked (it's illegal).
2) First thing you need to do is contact your carrier in the first instance & ask if it has indeed been IMEI locked (all carriers can see this in Australia, once it's locked on one network, it's locked on everyone's). If you have no joy there, then you contact Vodafone & ask the same question (I'd be very surprised if you carrier doesn't answer this one way or another though.
If it is IMEI barred, you won't be getting it unbarred. These things don't normally happen.
3) It may only be network locked by Vodafone rather than IMEI locked. Again, Vodafone will be able to confirm if this is the case/not.
Anything else troubleshooting-wise is a waste of time until you do the above; if it's IMEI barred you put one down to experience & chuck it away, if it's network locked Vodafone will possibly give you an unlock code for free.
Edit - Also, delete the screenshot which shows your IMEI. Last thing you need if it is just a simple case of a network lock that you can get fixed is for someone to see your IMEI & decide to use it for nefarious purposes (easily done). If this happens, your IMEI absolutely will end up barred & the phone useless.
Good explanation above, ask the one who.sold ypu this phone, he might have sold you a barred phone and claimed from insurance.
Hope it is not the case, but do check
Best of luck

[Q] Is the T-Mo version carrier-locked?

I know that the bootloader on this phone is locked (although there seems to be a workaround in development). Does anyone know whether the T-Mo version of the G5 is locked to the T-Mo network?
I believe it's normal practice for T-Mobile to unlock the phone once it's been paid for. My back up grand prime even has a app for this.

Be careful, though. It sounds like T-Mobile has quite a few requirements for unlocking, with which a lot of people are displeased. I'm on AT&T and considered buying the T-Mobile version in full and requesting an unlock code, but it sounds like they won't give you a code unless you have an active T-Mobile account/phone plan and have used the phone on the account for several days (claims range from a couple to 40 days). T-Mobile CLAIMS it's because they have to register the imei of the phone on their system before they can unlock it. I think it's a load of crap, because with AT&T, all you have to do is pay in full and send them the imei number. I don't see why T-Mobile should be different, but it seems to be.

Maybe I'd just be better off waiting and paying the same price for an unlocked phone through B&H?

I think that's what I'm probably going to do. Just fingers crossed its bootloader will be as easy to unlock as T-Mobile's! I don't really need an unlocked bootloader, but I definitely need root. And with Marshmallow requiring an unlocked bootloader just for root, this is now non-negotiable for me.

This is the English translated version of the message (using google translate):
"We inform you that this Smartphone is disabled due to delay in the payment of the fees. Claro invites you to pay immediately so you can enjoy the Smartphone"
The problem is the phone was disabled due to non payment. Unfortunately no one can help you here, forum rules prohibit this. As an example the link below was the response from a moderator over a person how to unlock a financed phone (with a balance owed).
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77825724&postcount=6
If this is your phone then you must pay your phone bill to get the phone re-enabled..
If you bought the phone and it was like this then you must contact the place of purchase to get a working replacement or your money back.
If the phone was purchased from a person who still owes money then have them bring the bill current or return the phone to them and get your money back.

This is incorrect. New phone or not, store bought or not and where you purchased/use it at doesn't matter. The device is disabled by the carrier, the message tells you why it is and what needs to be done to resolve it. In order for the device to be re-enabled the past due amount must be resolved.
Based on what you said you will have to have the store you purchased it from replace the device with one that is working. If they can not then get your money back from them if possible.
Even if what you say is true XDA forums doesn't allow this kind of discussion. We don't make the rules, we agreed to follow them when we registered for the forum.
