NEED BOOTLOADER CODE,I bought the BOOTLOADER unlock code 180RMB in China.

I have the bootloader code and the bootloader unlocked but I don't know how I can flash the European version ROM in my Chinese Honor 8x.
Thank you.

You found me through a friend in China, and I told him all that needed in advance.
Ask if you have BOOTLOADER CODE, you say no, do you want me to pay you for it?
After I have time, I will upload a video to YouTube to show you whether it is true or false.

You didn't listen to me well and demanded 300 RMB from me directly. Would you pay my money back if you can't do it? If I cheat you, you may lose 15 minutes. But if you cheat me, I may lose 300 RMB.
I told you; my honor 8x doesn't have "Enable OEM Unlock" option in developer menu. So, how can you unlock it even if you get a bootloader code? Can you?? I told this to you for many times. You didn't care this and demanded money directly. This is why I don't trust you. If I am wrong, I apologize to you...

I have managed to open the bootloader without activating the OEM option, which also did not work in settings

All HUAWEI phones, Chinese versions, all have no OEM UNLOCK option. This is common sense.
You don't have Bootloader code, and I want to buy it from other people. Do you think this is what I can produce?
Do you feel that I lost my credibility for 300RMB?

If you cheat me, who will I buy the BOOTLOADER to reimburse?

[Q] In which state shall I let my phone be serviced by SE?

So, I contacted Sony Ericsson about some problems with a burnt in screen, and after a short conversation (which took a week per e-mail for them to respond after I contacted the marketing office via Twitter ), they will pick a date to pick up my phone at home

Now my question is: In which state shall I 'give away' my phone?
Things that obviously need to be fixed:
Lock bootloader (unlocked it using SE website, so no DRM...)
Remove root (what's the best way?)
Factory reset/flash firmware again with PC Companion/SEUS?
Have I forgotten anything or do you know a better method?
Have you got your phone serviced before?
Please let me know in the comments.
Hope I get a new LCD panel!
Edit: they estimate the time it takes at about 10(!) days. And I don't have a backup phone... (Can send texts and read them online though)

I am afraid that your warranty is void once you have unlocked bootloader. They will check your IMEI on their system before they disassemble your phone. Remember you have submitted your IMEI to get unlock code.

But you can request a unlock code, and then just store it, without unlocking you phone. See step 16.
And I hope they don't care about that too much, as the problems is a burnt in screen, not a overheated processor or a software problem.

Yeah, I hope so. I've read that HTC doesn't bother too much if your phone is rooted. I don't know how this is with SE. I will update it when I get my phone back. (If the Customer Service will reply to my last e-mail of a week ago )

Asus refuses info on prime

I contacted amazon to get info on my order and they told me that the prime was delayed due to technical issues so im tired of the rumor crap that asus keeps refusing is happening so I called asus and the lady said she didnt have any information so I asked who or which department will give me some info or I can speak to about this issue and she said no one...i said what does that mean she said...no one will speak to you on that matter mamm. I said that there's no one with asus that will speak to me regarding a product I am purchasing from them and she said that is correct...

I recommend the iPad 2, because OF COURSE if you call Apple you'll get directed to someone who will answer questions about backordered and/or not-yet-shipping Apple products. Apple is absolutely, completely, perfectly transparent with their users and are happy to talk to ANYONE about future plans, ongoing issues, etc.
So, yes: iPad 2. Definitely.
Probably because Asus isn't deal with you, they are dealing with vendors, and you won't get any information unless you're a vendor.
I'm a CUSTOMER I'm more important than a vendor without "me" the customer they don't exist!!!
I wasn't asking for a ship date or anything I was trying to tell them another vendor was saying asus delayed due to technical issues I WAS TRYING TO HELP THEM!!!

Without ALL customers they don't exist. Without you? Eh, they'll be fine.
By the sound of your posts, I feel quite confident that you asked all of the right questions in all the right ways to make them want to help you in any way that they could. However, Asus is hellbent on losing every customer it has one at a time by conspiring to withhold any and all information related to or concerning the Transformer Prime.
Wow, people are really getting edgy with this whole situation with Transformer Prime.
Seriously, take a deep breath and just wait for the device to come. Its not like Asus is giving them away for free, you are paying the money and you will get it soon enough. If there is a delay, they will tell their distributors and retailers who will then relay the information to their customers..

Actually, ASUS doesn't sell directly to end users, so their customers ARE the retailers. That's who they're set up to deal with, and that's why you didn't get directed to anyone.

Funny thing is, even then you might not get a response. The retailers all have buyers who deal with ASUS, and they've probably established long ago that only those buyers should interact with ASUS directly. Nothing could create a flustercluck quicker than every store from a retail chain calling manufacturers asking about upcoming stocking levels and such.
I'm betting the Best Buy stores call Best Buy HQ, and then Best Buy HQ calls ASUS. The information is then passed back to the stores.

No reactivation lock for T-mobile s5?

I can't find it anywhere in the settings. Is this a T-Mobile only thing? I'm fairly certain the AT&T and Verizon version have this feature.

Try system/CSC/features.xml EDIT: This might not be what you're looking for, but it's something. Sorry I guess I was wrong in saying that it can be enabled by a csc edit.
Change it to this:

If they know how to root it, they can in 2 minutes. Just boot into the bootloader, flash a custom recovery, flash a custom rom, and presto, you're in. If you're already rooted, well, that just makes it laughably easy. Apple's approach is the only really secure one.
I think assuming that a thief would have any understanding of rooting or flashing custom bootloaders would be a little over the top. Out of every single human being that I know only 2 know how to root a phone.
..
fffft said:
I'm thinking that the part in bold could be your snag.
Seriously though, some carriers are enabling this and some are not. A serious flaw as universal availability of the feature would make it infinitely more effective.
You can enable it yourself by availing yourself to a custom ROM or by editing the properties XML. Once enabled, the menu shows up under Settings > General > Security

This misses an important point. It doesn't matter a lot how many people in the general populace know how to root a phone in front of them. If a security feature like reactivation lock is to be a strong deterrent to theft, it needs to be highly secure where no one or damn near no one is able to defeat it. It's not sufficient that it's hard to do. It only takes one electronic wiz in a city who is willing to unlock phones of shady origin to establish a strong local demand for stolen phones.
A thief doesn't need to have any technical skills. Word will quickly get around about the shady repair shop or fence that can fix them or is willing to buy stolen phones because he knows where they can be unlocked. For this to work as an effective deterrent, stolen phones need to be rendered paperweights that cannot be unlocked without heroic measures.

You know what I don't care, I can't even believe I was baited into this useless argument. The fact remains is that the feature is at least semi functional and a DETERRENT to criminals. Nothing is fool proof. You can have the best car alarm in the world and someone can roll up with a tow truck and take off with it. The point is to make it harder for thieves to get away with it and thats all Im looking for. .

Lg Stylo 6 unlock

So I have a LG Stylo 6 from boost, And I have an unlock code. Issue is that my phone does not prompt for an unlock code and the phone is still pretty new so needless to say google is as useful as a car with no gas in this situation. How or where do I go in order to input the unlock code? BTW I think the U.S should be more the the EU and ban carriers from locking a device because now I probably have to throw out a perfectly good phone just because I moved to an area with no boost service what so ever.

allow me to add that yes I do have an unsupported SIM card in it right now and it should prompt for an unlock code, but it does not.
Since no one is helping with this useful post, I'll throw my 2¢.. you can force the unlock code using the dialer or tweaking the hidden menu.. but the simple method is to crossflash the unlocked version firmware.. all stylo 6 models have the same hardware.. do not use original lgup to crossflash.. use lgup dual mode made by one of our developers.. credits to him.. I'm terrible at remembering online names..
So I just received a LM-Q730TM10i as insurers replacement for my Stylo 5 junk from boost. immediately ice boxed updaters and locked on original software I believe came in new box. I'm all eyes and ears on this thread forgive me it's been a minute since I've lurked/ lived amongst XDA but I'm very interested and am all eyes and ears and I'll help if I can.. I believe this device is a great Improvement both the five and believe it may be worthy of such development.

Closer, yes. Am I there? Totally not yet.
I'm currently gathering options and working out my own patches amongst learning about LAF, ARB, the OPID partition, and more. It will be some time, but when I do end up reverse engineering LGUP to meet our needs, it should be something significant for more than just the Stylo 6 community; ideally, it should make a big difference for the LG community as a whole.
Please see the post in this thread for the Discord link.

You have to enter a code in the stock lg dialer. It will bring you to the unlock menu. Do a web search for it. I believe it begins with 2945#* and then the model number. For example, my stylo 5 is a q720, so 2945#*720.

So I was a bit curious And you made p.m. me if necessary as to how you obtained an unlock code I was told by Boost that the new phone did not carry a code or is not Able to be entered Or was not necessary or something along these lines . And said it had to be done remotely / manufacturer and Provider . Thus I continued to have mine unlocked and yes it was unlocked remotely

So I was a bit curious And you made p.m. me if necessary as to how you obtained an unlock code I was told by Boost that the new phone did not carry a code or is not Able to be entered Or was not necessary or something along these lines . And said it had to be done remotely / manufacturer and Provider . Thus I continued to have mine unlocked and yes it was unlocked remotelyView attachment 5203189

No.
I've learned a lot more than I ever thought I would so far, but as of this moment it's just not done yet unfortunately.
We could use some help, so if anyone knows .NET/C#, PM me on Discord.

If I'm understanding, you stopped paying for the device. Is that correct? How can you expect to continue to use something you are not paying for?

XDA doesn't support stuff like this and don't even bother looking around this forum for it.
Has nothing to do with being rich, it's about right and wrong. Your asking for help to do something illegal..it's called Theft of Services.
