Manage default sim automatically - Samsung Galaxy S10 Themes, Apps, and Mods

I have a question. Is there an app or a way that I can manage the default sim for call at certain times of the day? I want to have my work sim default between 9am and 5pm and all other times my personal sim but the data always to come from my personal sim?
Cheers in advance.

Look at tasker app in play store

Just tried that but couldn't see how to change the default sim for calls.

I want to know too

It's possible by automating input touches using AutoInput plugin for Tasker. Im using it to activate my work phone sim when I enter the vicinity of work.

[Q] Data Sim on my Gear S

Hi, i am planning to buy this watch but here are my concerns:
I'm planning to put my data sim on the Gear S and my company is having 2 APNs, one for WORK and one for INTERNET, so one of my question is, Can i set two APNs on gear S and interchange with it quickly?
My other question is, when my gear S has a 3g sim on it(only data sim) and my phone does not have internet, when i pair my phone WITHOUT INTERNET, will it have an internet thru my gear S data sim?
thanks.

Unfortunatley, you can't tether your phone to your Gear S for data: in this scenario, you will have data on your Gear S, but not on your phone, unless someone figured out a work-around for this.
This scenario makes the most usage sense to me, BTW: have all the connectivity on your wrist, and use a tablet or phone if you need a larger screen. I'd ditch my phone and just keep a tablet. The battery of the current Gear S would not last very long used this way, though.
In regards to 2 APN's, you can easily set them up. Mine has two settings: one for data and one for MMS. You have to select to have data always on, or be disconnected from your phone, in order to get into the greyed out Gear S settings for APNs. I am however not sure if the watch saves the two settings, so you can switch back and forth easily. Hope someone else can answer this. My guess is yes, because I can "add" a new APN, not just "edit" the current one under data.

SIM error/No SIM

I have Moto E XT1022 obviously. I have recently started facing an issue on my phone. I have 2 SIMS. First one is Vodafone and second one is Aircel. Vodafone is in SIM slot 1 and Aircel in SIM slot 2. After some time of usage, I lose the data option for Vodafone in the settings. There is only option to enable data for Aircel. Also, in the messaging application, the SIM1 is greyed out. I still have full signals on SIM1 and I can make and receive calls from SIM1 as well. But when I hang up, the dialer screen shows "No SIM or SIM error" at the top.
This problem occurs in ALL ROMs including custom and stock ROMs. Once data option for SIM1 is gone, I can still use 3rd party apps to enable/disable data on SIM1 but still there is no option for it in the settings. This problem can only be fixed by rebooting the phone but the option again vanishes after few minutes of usage even on a clean ROM where I have no app installed. What might be the problem?
Both my SIMS are on roaming and I have enabled data roaming on both SIMS.
See if the problem persists when you interchange the sims.
i.e. Aircel as sim1 and Vodafone as sim2.

Thing is that this problem is there in stock motorola 5.1 ROM too. I didn't use to face this before on CM. I don't know when it started. By the way, are any of your SIMs on roaming? As far as I remember, this problem started after I moved out of New Delhi and now I'm on my holidays and both my SIMs are on roaming. This problem started after that only.

Means the data option vanishes right? Either this is a SIM problem..I mean the SIM card itself has that problem or this is related to roaming thing. Can you take the SIM on roaming out and test the phone for a few hours and check to see if this error occurs?
I also facing the same problem .. When ever i pick up incoming call it do not detect the sim on which call came .it just shows no sim card / sim error..

I'm using moto g2. I'm also getting the same issue..."no sim or sim error"its really irritating .I'm missing my calls . hw can I fix it???? Plssss suggest the needful measures at the earliest.

Dialler - am I missing something?

Is there a way to pick which SIM to make a call from from within the Dialler?
At the moment (without using a 3rd party dialler) I have to change the Dual SIM settings - changing the default calling SIM, which then refreshes all the SIM info. Seems a bit long-winded just to make a phone call from SIM 2 for example, when SIM 1 is the default in the settings.
Maybe I'm missing something?

Under Dual Sim Settings there is the default calling Sim option, if you set this to "Not Set" then you get two green phone symbols within the dialler, allowing you to choose which network to dial with for each call.

Dual SIM Selector

Having issues with this app - anyone else got it working?
It seems to disable the ability to call out on SIM 1 and only way i have found to renenable it is a hard reset (it says 'radio off' when using it).
I find this app essential to use dual SIM phones with android auto.
Hi,
Am having the same problem.
Dual SIM Selector didn't work properly untill I disabled automatic energy management for this app in the battery section of the phone's settings menu (together with either of the two SIM cards selected for calls in the phone's dual SIM menu). It worked well after this.
Then (don't know if this is in any way related) Google Assistant (G Apps?) started asking questions about which SIM to use for data, calls and sms-messages. I tried to ignore it for a little while, but it kept popping
up. So eventually I figured I answer questions, get it over with, event though these settings were already set in the phone's settings menu. And so I choose to set all the settings in accordance to how the were in the phone's settings menu: use SIM 1 for data, calls and sms-messages.
Since then, I can use SIM 2 for incoming calls, but not for outgoing calls. During automatic selection (beit when Dual SIM Selector knows which SIM to use, or when Dual SIM Selector needs to ask me) the app shows SIM 2 is being used, but it turns out SIM 1 is dialing. Have tried different settings in the settings menu, as well as in Dual SIM Selector. Keeps on using SIM 1. Even when I set the menu to choose which SIM card to use at each call: I get the option to choose for SIM 2, but it uses SIM 1 no matter which SIM I pick.
And when I disable SIM 1, and set all phone and/or app settings to use SIM 2, my phone tells me "radio off" and stops dialing. It really feels to me some app (G Apps?) is overriding my phone and/or app settings after a one time configuration.
Do you recognize any interference of Google apps?
Have you been able to fix the issue, or found alternatives/workarounds?
I have same issue.
Somehow I resolved it by manual carrier selection, but it came back when i rebooted my device.
Did anyone elese had same issue?

I reached out to the developer to report the issue as the app is clearly doing something to disable outgoing calls on the non default sim. Not had a response sadly.

I just use true phone dialler now. Android Auto works fine with dual SIM selector so no need for it anymore.

Question Sim for voice and e-Sim for data?

Hi all,
I'm gonna buy an e-Sim, never had one before.
Wondering if, while waiting for my phone number to be moved to the new company E-Sim, if I can set voice calls to Sim and mobile data internet to E-Sim.
Thanks!
Your knowledge about esims is totally wrong they are not what u think about them esim is inbuilt in new smartphones which prevents the use of physical sim card and u can use multiple esims in one device like profiles they just need one time setup
Thanks for your answer.
I don't have knowledge about esims, and that's why I asked esperts.
In any case, I know about profile, multiple profiles (and one profile at a time use on certain devices), my question was a little bit different.
When I had a dual sim phone, I set the first sim for voice and messages and the second sim for mobile data. Second sim had a much better signal and many more Gb plan.
Now I have Pixel6, I have a phisical sim (and my phone numer on it)m and I'm going to buy an e-sim from a different operator. They'll give me unlimited GB, so I thouhgt, while waiting for the old phone number to be transfered on the new e-sim, to use the esim profile for mobile internet data only.
Basically: voice calls: sim 1 (physical sim)
messages: sim 1
Mobile internet data: sim2 (e-sim).
That's what I was asking, is it possible?
Yea everything is possible
U can do it
i am using a esim for voice and a sim for data.
and it pisses me off that i can not talk and surf at the same time.
for me the voice cannot be active and have the data in use at the same time
Is it activated

Strange, my wife is using a P6 with voice on e-SIM and data on physical SIM. So it's possible.
