Test Point on Sony M4 Aqua (hard brick). - Sony Xperia M4 Aqua

Update:
My phone was not recognized by the computer since the usb flex was broken, the data lines did not work, but the charging lines did.
Watch this video for a solution:
Hello and thanks for reading! The whole problem started with a bad rom, I flashed it and when I turn on the device, the basic things, Wi-Fi, data, etc ... did not work, but worst of all, the PC does not recognize it, for therefore I cannot flash again with sony's original rom. So, researching there I found that there is a way to fix this kind of problem with a method called a test point, but I only saw other devices and on mine I didn't find any information about this.
I found these images but I don't understand much...

If someone knows how to do this, it would help me a lot. Thanks in advance for reading the post!

Hi RenzoMag.
The testpoint method was used to force the phone in a "factory mode" (I don't know the exact terms), expecially useful for Mediatek based phones.
The point highlited on the images are the "communication lines" to direct access the e-MMC memory chip.
You can found info at page 13 of this thread

Hello, I had not seen an answer on my phone for a long time, I had that problem months ago, I tried everything for weeks and finally gave up and left it saved for lack of time ...
Do you have any idea of any solution for this device that was totally bricketed because of a bad rom?
Forgive me if I do not understand you or do not understand me, I am using google translator ...
Thanks for the reply!

Hi. Did you re-flashed rom with Sony tool or flastool?

The problem is that, the corrupt rom that is installed causes the computer not to detect the phone as a mobile device, try flashtool, sony companion, etc, but the same computer tells me "unknown device", detects that there is something but you don't know why, the rom's usb connection files will be damaged ... That is why my question about whether there is a test point for this device, because for other devices that if you can these types of problems are fixed that way. Do you have someone who knows a little more about this topic?

picture shows eMMC pinout, no test points

Hello p107r0,
I can found few commercial link about it, other link on french page is writed by me, and "official seem" supplier "MMS support" got nothing on the website (only spec)
This tablet is a "commercial announcement support" offert to client or employed...The polaroid reference MIDCF43 is a "local" reference and i think this tab is derived from a well know tablet.
If you know something about this...let me know ?
If you know what is the "sun3i" exactly is, i want to know ?
The more near i found is name "bmorn v7pro" but i cannot post link here...
I want to be sure before doing something wrong
Thanks in advance

sorry, not much help from me, unable to find anything more, strangely enough most pages is in french, there's an enquiry form on on of the pages: here, if all else fails, maybe try asking there?
Thanks p107r0 for your try
If anybodyelse got information about this device, please, let me known

I've seen this tablet on e-bay, size is appealing but there are definite downsides to it, it is 480x272 pixels, has wifi b/g, I believe a resistive screen, 1000 mAh battery which does not sound so hot, Android 2.3 (and that's probably the end of it), 2gb interanl, probably 256mb etc. Just found out that "reported" battery life is 160 minutes, not good as usually real life results are less. This is another example of branding cheap electronics with a recognized name, a horrible process designed to lure the buyer into a false sense of security. I'd steer clear, if you want a 4.3" device, go get an Archos (and I really would not recommend that either)
Hello zharkov,
In my country this product is giving everywhere to customer or employed, like a pen or usb key with the trade mark on it....so thanks for your opinion, but i only want to know the base code name of this device.
For information

sun4i are A10 based
If someone else got information about the name of this tab, let me know
Thanks in advance

You can find interesting information about this device and more generally for the allwinner F20 here : http://www.sysfwlab.com
I try to port uboot for sun3i (actually work only on sun4i(A10) or sun5i)
Please let me known if you know other clone or device where F20 is used

There is a both french and english topic where two people are working on reverse-engeneering the mechanics of this tablet. They have regrouped some technical information in this thread, in addition to the previous link : http://forum.frandroid.com/topic/102352-polaroid-43-pc-tablet-midcf43-low-cost/
I do hope this will allow to offer a more optimized ROM for this economic device, as the default ROM misses the Google Play and does feel slow and a bit buggy.
Hi, how can i root this device? I tried with many apps, but no success, help me plese. Thank you

EDIT: I have been able to get to the download mode main screen (press up to go into download mode or down to cancel and reboot.) but pressing up locks it up again.

Thanks for the reply. That thread is actually the first thing i read before i actually signed up as a member. I read through all 20 something pages and the author of the thread states close to the end of the thread that one has found a firmware for the maven pro with android 6.0. If I could manage to get the drivers installd atleast i could make some kind of leadway on doing other things, like installing a custom recovery but i cant even get my pc . .. laptop running windows 7 to recognize the tablet when I plug it in.... i dont know what else to do at this point but drop kick this tablet into another universe....
Did u find anything yet?I have the same problem

Hi, I, too, have been very frustrated with the same problem, having tried all the root apk's I could find to root my RCA Maven Pro 11.6 tablet pc rct6213w87mm to avail. This device has to be one of the most difficult, if not impossible, tablet pc's to root and I'm wondering cynically whether the manufacturer intentionally made it like that to prevent the user from deleting many frivolous bloatwares installed that cannot be uninstalled without rooting the device. I sent an email to the RCA tech support requesting the usb driver for this model, but have not gotten any response, yet, if they will ever respond, that is.
Another Jon here. No relation.
I support a bunch of these specific tablets, we use them for sheet music display. Can't find firmware, can't root them. I feel your pain. However...I also know that the #1 problem with the RCT6213W87M tablet is that it spontaneously crashes & reboots whenever the Play Store app tries to install the latest version of the Google app. Took me awhile to figure this one out, let me tell you. Google doesn't care, because Android 6.0 is yesterday's news to them. RCA doesn't care, because they want you to buy a new tablet. But all the musicians care, very much, when their sheet music display crashes in the middle of a set. I told them to stop being lazy and just memorize all the music. They didn't think that was funny.
My initial fix was to disable auto-updates in the Play Store app, but that's a maintenance headache. A better workaround is to use the instructions at https://www.maketecheasier.com/prevent-specific-android-apps-auto-updating/ -- scroll about halfway down to "Stopping One App From Updating" and do that for the Google app. You still can't root the tablet or remove the bloatware, but it will at least stop the spontaneous reboots. And the musicians will stop throwing the tablets at you.

Carefull gingerbread i warned myself :fingers-crossed::victory:
When I was at Junior High in 9th grade I broke my Samsung GT-S5300 due to improperly install of incorrect custom rom (lollipop) to my phone that's why the device can't read my sd card even the gallery is empty. I broke it on last 2017. And now 2022 I tried to repair it via odin because our school allow us to borrow a laptop (which is I don't have) then repair my phone there and boom! I got my Samsung GT-S5300 back again to normal. It's now 5 years old. I love that phone because it's so hard to break it. I remember I throw my phone and then it's still alive. Until now it's still alive (but the home key don't work) but I can still use it. My favorite phone is this samsung gt-s5300. I'm planning to buy the same phone like this but I can't find it in the market (because it's phased out or not available). By christmas I will buy Samsung GT-S5360 (even if I have much money I don't like luxurious phones).

My H96 Max X2 (S905X2) cannot be upgraded, how can i unbrick?

After some months of use , one day i turned on my android box and suddenly after loading it will give a black screen and there is nothing else after that, i tried to reinstall firmware through a SD card but it stuck in the installing/loading with a "x" on the android green man.
Now i would like to ask for a help from someone that is familiar with unbricking, i'll provide pictures of my H96 so you can see it from inside and tell me HOW CAN I SHORT CUT or whatever i need to do. (because i saw different hardware and different devices)
May i use 9.0 android version?

Download the correct firmware from here:https://www.h96tvbox.com/content/6-Firmware-upgrade
Probably you have LPDDR3 memory so ONLY this firmware is suitable for your TVbox. If you had 8DDR3 type of memory you could use both firmwares (those for 8DDR3 & LPDDR3).
Also please describe how you exactly are using USB Burning Tool and the short pins method (the whole sequence).

Actually i don't use short pins, because when i connect my h96 to the PC via the USB cable it automatically gives a connection success, so i just use some firmware, i used the firmware from the official site, but still doesnt work , it always get stuck at 9%.

1. Did you try the official Android 9.0 version (stock firmware) for the LPDDR3 memory as I told you above?
It is this version https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/16qCsIFbGDSgopwJ3zEBQ4iLC_wLEbLVV
So did you try this version?
2. If after trying number (1) your TVbox is not brought to life, this means that it is hard bricked and your best option is the "short pin" method.
