Where can I find a genuine back-Camera replacement? - Xiaomi Poco F1 Questions & Answers

my F1 fell from a slope and got dragged by gravity over a good 5m of concrete charring the back cover and destroying the camera lens, I went to a repair store who poked around and told me that the camera lens itself is scratch beyond repair, not just the protective glass. but that they don't have any replacement parts, where can I find such parts on the internet? I saw a few on Aliexpress but I have no idea how to tell which ones are genuine. if anyone have any experience in that regard I could use the help, I plan on buying the parts then give them to a professional to fix them. I'd just go to a Mi store but they just wooshed me away saying they won't help because I bought it overseas instead of from them! (rude)

You can repair at any mi authorised service center , if they whoosh u away you can call mi customer care center and tell them your situation and they will talk to the service center , if they didn't probably their service center gonna end , Cause customer caring is top in their priority but i cant guarantee you if they change any parts in your phone on behalf of angry and all this , You can't get any original posts in online cause the mi manufacture won't deliver! You can get any A grade parts in online.
Hope you will find a good one or tonight i will search and pm the link to you !

Yes please send the link, I don't take a lot of photos, my biggest issue is actually banking apps not being able to scan QR codes, so I don't really mind if it's a different module as long as it works with the phone and the pixel experience ROM.

[Q] Question about cracked screen repair service

Hey guys,
So my white i9100 fell out of my pocket and screen cracked badly...
i found a service site online that replaces the screen for $260.
I already paid them and sent them the phone, and they sent me an email confirming that they've received my device and will start the repair shortly.
That was yesterday.
Today I saw a youtube video warning that they don't use OEM parts for their services..
and i panicked, and searched their website, and all they say about parts is this
"At iFixYouri, we only use top of the line replacement parts. We have taken every step to ensure that our work environment is static free and safe for working on your precious devices"
Does "top of the line" mean nonOEM?
So now i'm really worried that they won't use OEM parts..
I've emailed them but haven't gotten a response yet..
Here's a video them advertising their repair service.
At the very end, for a split second they show the finished product, and I can't tell 100%, but it seems that the SAMSUNG logo on the front top of the device is missing, suggesting a fake chinese part....
Has anyone used their service?
any opinions/advices on what to do if the part they use indeed is fake?
(legal action, refund, etc)
Thanks guys! I really need some advices!
u already paid ,waiting for ur device.so y judge ...jus wait for ur device an if everything is good then ,,,if i were u it dosnt matter if its chinese,or korean.....an now 95%of parts r frm chinese...

1)ur local samsung service center
2)e-Bay
3)u can google for other sellers of the same
You can't. You won't get one from somebody who's salvaged one from an otherwise dead phone, as a borked NAND tends to be the main reason why a phone would be dead in the first place.
And Samsung won't sell you one outright, they just don't do that kind of thing. Obviously they'll replace one in your device for you (at your cost if you've voided your warranty obviously).

Samsung replied
Dear IBRAHIM DIAB,
Thank you for contacting Samsung Electronics.
Please find hereafter, our response.
As per your enquiry, kindly be informed that you have downloaded illegal/unofficial ROM version from unauthorized website; not Samsung official website.
The Main Board damage happened due to non compatibility between your device Main Board specifications and Russian software specifications, not due to Factory Reset: you have installed a European Software version on Middle East device version: “Devices specifications may change from region to another”.
Hence, we extremely apologize for inconveniences. However, Samsung electronics will not cover any warranty for unauthorized/unofficial update done on the phone.

LOL They are so full of it
lol I had to laugh at the samsung response. always trying to pass the buck. I can answer this one easily as I had already contacted samsung AND an official samsung service center as well as speaking directly to the guys at carphone warehouse service center manchester.

Dear Mr Stanley,
Thank you for email. I am sorry for the trouble you are currently having and understand the inconvenience this may have caused.
In reagrds to your email I can confirm that repairing this phone would actually invalidate the warranty that you would have with us. Though you would need to contact one of our service centres if you still wished to repair this yourself and they would have the parts to repair this. I have provided the link below to find the nearest one to you.
If you require any further assistance, please contact Samsung again and we will be more than happy to help.
Kind regards,
Gareth

Upon contacting the samsung service center. I was informed that they do not like to send out replacement parts and refused to do so, but were more than happy to repair the unit for a total amount of £150 ( logically speaking the reason that they do not like sending out replacement parts for the person to fit the item themselves is because they can not charge a ridiculous labour charge which I am guessing is around £50 for 10 minutes work.
With this information I then visited Carphone warehouse as it has it's own walk in service center and spoke with the technician and my theory was confirmed, the unit itself costs around £100 and Carphone warehouse charged £60 to fit the unit so that would be a total of £160.
I'd be aware of purchasing any i9100 mainboards on ebay as a forum poster had stated that a borked phone is normally down to the mainboard being the issue. There are several websites that sell factory standard upper mainboards.
so the eMMC chip can be replace? I also wish to replace mine.
I also have i9100 with burnt emmc
just found a display cracked one for $90
i maybuy it and replace the board or replace the display
i think i have to check the version

emmc replace

Mate....it really is NOT worth it......
These components are soldered to the motherboard by computer controlled high precision robots....
They are programmed to apply the heat for long enough to do the job and short enough that they don't cause heat damage.....oh...they also don't suffer from the shakes.....
I had to repair just a single contact on a tablet belonging to my son....
The power socket had become detached.....
In order to do this, I had to file my soldering irons tip to virtually a needle point....then I had to find a magnifying glass (my eyes are perfect, I've NEVER worn glasses) and I had to find a strong positionable light source to enable me to actually see what I was soldering. I'm guessing that the solder point I had to repair is substantially larger and more accessible than those on the emmc chip.....and also I had to deal with just one solder point......
It's fair to say that this is NOT my only experience with a soldering iron.....I first picked one up when I was in my early teens......25 odd years ago, and have been regularly using one ever since. Even with the aforementioned level of experience, I personally wouldn't attempt the repair you are suggesting.....these boards are NOT meant to be hand repaired......
My wife says I'm a phone geek....She's probably right

[Q] Xiaomi Mi 3 Screen Replacement

Hey
I have a Xiaomi Mi 3 , I bought it from Flipkart around 6 months back, I recently broke its screen. The digitizer I think , LCD is working fine the botton 15% of the touch is not working and neither are touch buttons (Home, Back, Menu) . I went to the service center here in Gujarat they told me that it would cost me Rs 6800 (110$) and I would have to wait for 2 months which is not feasible . So I decided to take matters in my hands. I started searching online and found out that the screen is available on websites like Aliexpress.com Dragon-TT.com ebay.in etc priced anywhere between 28-90$ , that confused the hell out of me . Every link claimed it to be 100% original some even said 1000% original , anyways after searching around for a while I decided to purchase one from ebay.in for 2800rs (42$) , the entire assembly Digitizer+LCD+Frame so I guess it should be easy to replace as the process won't require any heat-gun or glue (which I am really scared of ).
Now I want help regarding following three concerns.
1. So now the concern is warranty , is their any way I could open the device replace the screen and still have my warranty , it is just a sticker after-all over a screw. Please guys if anyone of you can help me out I am really paranoid about this operation I need to perform but there is no way around it.
2. The product that I am ordering is from ebay.in for 2899(with tempered glass, google it I cant paste the link) . Anyone here who can shed any light on this , what do you suggest, is this cool? Original? New? I have talked to the seller it seems genuine (In Delhi sense )
3. Lastly and most importantly " Should I Do this " I mean I have read the theory , I have seen the videos but I ask to those you have embarked on this journey themselves ;Is it feasible ? and I welcome any words of wisdom from the veterans of this field.
So answer regarding
1. Warranty
2. Item
3. Advice/Experience
Reply ASAP

I need a motherboard for my Poco F1 please !

Hi,
I made the mistake to believe that my Poco F1 is water resistant and I got my Motherboard fried. Sent it to a repair shop, can do nothing except a replacement. there was a fried capacity at the bottom and unless someone can provide me with a datasheet to try and fix it, I'll need you people to help me find one.
I've checked aliexpress and google, I can't find it !
Thank you a lot,

The problem been fixed already and thanks to Huawei service center for unlocking my phone in service center Free and in 30 minutes only , i have long painful story with this phone about online unlocking guys and random shops who really officially scammers , i heard prices from 50 to 200$ i swear and even some of them not sure and not well trusted and unofficial unlocking can damage the phone and huge loss of money .
keep in mind i was victim for online scam buying this phone and victim for shops tried to scam on me too .. but the miracle happened when i went to Huawei and i set with them and told my full story even i don't have Box , or proof of buying or serial or imei number .. but i had online proof for purchase online and the amount and shipping details and photo from online seller which official proved i was victim second hand buyer ,
they decided to let me fill the forum of my details and evidences and silently and politely asked me to wait 30 minutes and exactly 29 minutes my phone back working normal fully unlocked and removed Huawei ID too same as brand new .. and i asked how much they told me its free i feel like OMG what ?? i thanks them tons of thanks and even they offered me free screen protector original one i said free again?? i feel this is too much good , and from here i would love to thanks Huawei service center really and suggest everyone to give a try always in first place to Huawei service center you may save huge costs by short visit .. i travelled to them 156 km but i back home i felt like never mind and it worth really . i came here complaining but Huawei service center deleted all my nightmares Thanks Huawei
