Tab S7 component issue voice at left corner - Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 / S7 Plus Questions & Answer

I bought the tab last month but I found there is a sound component like the sound of the camera module but in the area around the top left corner. I've never dropped it. Is this normal?

[Q] What is making my screen slightly uneven?

I've noticed that on my phone the distance between the screen and the bezel is not even all the way around the phone. It looks like in the top right and top left the screen is deeper than the bottom. At the same time the screen in the bottom left is higher than the rest of the phone. The screen doesn't appear to be loose, so I doubt this will ever be an issue, but I was wondering what exactly causes this. I've checked out a few phones from different stores this seems to vary between phone to phone. I have seen a few that are more or less even all the way around while I have seen others like mine. Between the ones I have seen with the varying distance, the bottom left corner seems to always be higher than the rest.
That's been reported on. Seems quality checks vary a bit. No one has posted any problems resulting from it. Most phone cases cover the difference.

I am not talking about the space between the bezel and the screen horizontally, I am talking vertically. The bottom left corner looks like the glue didn't stick properly causing it to become unstuck. If I press on the screen in that area there is a noticeable sound like when your fingers have something sticky on them and you put them together and take them apart. However, this sound might be created due to the fact that that corner is where the speaker is and the plastic is weaker because of the holes.

Haven't heard much about it making a noise when you press on it, but a number have posted about your issue. Seems it's always the bottom and either the right or left side being higher. No one has yet posted about both being higher, at least not yet.
Samsung screens are attached to the phone by an adhesive tape/pad. So it would be possible that some bad batches went out allowing the screen to lift. All Samsung phones come with a one year warranty. You'll be without a phone but you can send it in to get fixed if it bothers you enough or gets worse.
If you go to their website you can register your phone and they will extend the warranty a little bit. I think at least a month longer.

[Q] in call sound drops off sometimes....

Well. im fairly happy with the S3 apart from a few 'build quality' issues.
I find myself at a fork in the road... especially with this issue!
During a call thats longer than about 5 minutes the volume suddenly drops right off and it sounds like the person on the other end is standing with a pillow between them and the phone.. very muffled and quiet.
this has happened about 7 times since i have recieved the phone and it is starting to bug me somewhat..
Has anyone else experianced this ?
oh BTW my 'build quality' issues are:
Front speaker does not sit flat, the right side is visible protruding past the glass screen and the left side is just under flush.. i would say the right side is sitting a few thou high but its very noticable.
there are a few 'dinks' in the chrome plastic surround ( came out the box like this ).
yes im picky, but i did just buy this phone sim free!

Cracked glass - what are my options?

Hi, I dropped the phone (it fell from my pocket when I was sitting on the bench in the gym changing room) from circa 30 cm height and looked at the phone and everything was ok - from such a small drop, no wonder.
But by the time I got home I saw a crack forming from the side of impact (the phone dropped "on its feet" - hitting the frame) which went all the way to the opposite side of the frame. It stopped there of course and now I have a screen split in two by the crack running all the way from bottom to the top.
It is visible only when looking at an angle with light background on the screen, but I do not want a crack in the glass.
What are the options here? Where to repair it (preferably in the UK)? How much?
Or is it better to sell it to one the fellows here who bricked their phones (I read so many threads about this here lately)?
Any input is appreciated :fingers-crossed:
the screen works perfectly - it it just the look that is bothering me
I'm in the same position and the device is working fine. As long it isn't visible and everything is ok, why spend a lot of money?
But if you still want to change it, here it is a guide and in OP signature a site where you can buy the kit:

I had the same problem like you. But I had to change the glass / display (they're the same) in the day that my screen stopped working. I bought a new one here in Brazil for R$600,00... that's like aproximatelly US$300,00...

Problem with "dead zones" on screen, where touch is not working. Am I the only one?

Problem with "dead zones" on screen, where touch is not working. Am I the only one?
Hi!
I have some problem with my Honor 10. I believe that it existed since I bought it brand new from the store. On the left side of my screen is a narrow "zone" that have few millimeters and where the touch is not working. This "zone" is a narrow "strap" going from bottom to the top of the screen, along the left edge of the screen. Usually I don't notice that but sometimes it is a little irritating when I am touching "a" letter on my keyboard and nothing happens, and I have to touch it a millimeter more on the right, than on the left. There is no such problem on the right side of the screen.
I installed application to test touch screen called "Touch Screen Test".
and here you can see what do I mean by that "dead zone" - I ran my finger across the left edge screen on this app, trying to go as much to the left as possible and there is a line on the left, where the touch is not going completely to the left edge of the screen. Here is a photo (sorry for not using IMG tag, but when I used it, the image did not work):

( the white line fading to gray are where I touched my finger, couldn't go more to the left, as if touchscreen was broke there)
On the right side, there is no such problem, or the "dead zone" is much smaller:

Does my device have some kind of factory problem, or all Honor 10 users have this thing? Is it to prevent people from accidentally touching their screen with finger while holding the phone? Maybe it can be turned off?
Thanks for any help and information!

Unfortunately what you have is a factory problem. I don't see why they would put some sort of protection only on one side.
I did the test as well and this is my result. When I draw a vertical line the screen protector doesn't allow me to go exactly to the edge but with a horizontal line I could. And I have the same result on both sides

I can see that you have FHD+ resolution on your Honor 10. I've set mine to FHD+ too, and did the test again. I can confirm, that on mine, the line is somewhere between the letters "e" and "n" in word "open" (there is "Open menu by the volume up" on the upper side of screen in this app). On your Honor, the line is much more to the left, much closer to the edge, between the first letter "O" and "p".
And on mine, even when I do horizontal line, it stops there, do not go to the edge.
Thanks for helping me. So seems like this is just a problem with my Honor 10, not some kind of weird feature. Lesson learned - I will check things like that while buying a phone in the future.

My phone is still under warranty(support app>me>my device>), probably yours as well. June should be the last month. Try to see if you can have it fixed or replaced it is worth trying even if you are going to move on with another phone ?

Question Tick Rattle Noise Near Camera

Anyone have an odd "tick" or "loose part" noise (rattle) that comes from the corner of the main (back) camera. I just got this Mi 11 Lite 5G Global phone 1mo ago and do not recall hearing any "tick" or "loose part" (rattle) until today. Kinda weird, I hear what sounds like a loose part in the phone when you lightly tap that corner of the phone. The sound is like a loose part tapping on the inside of the case plastic. I see nothing loose on the outside, so it must be coming from the inside. What could be loose? Is this common?
