any good kernel?

im running cm7 what kernel would u guys recommend i need battery life stability and speed
I'm running cm7 also and I recommend using nightly 26 and use neo7 kernel. You will get amazing battery life while being over clocked, plus it's stable.
I've flashed all the nightly builds and 26 has been the best one.
Then flash the neo7 kernel from the link below. If you use this kernel with the new builds, you will not get good results.
Be sure to flash the kernel cleaning script before flashing a new kernel and it's on the link.

Faux kernel in stock rom.

can i use the faux kernel with the stock rom with the latest OTA? Which advantages i gain? Thanks
If by stock ROM you mean AT&T 4.5.9.1, then yes you can use his kernel. The main noticeable advantages are the ability to overclock and undervolt. Other than that, there are some tweaks to the code that also contribute to improving performance.
I would only flash this if you really want to overclock your phone though. If not, stick with stock -- the phone is fast enough as it is.

[Q] Battery life between 2 Rom

Hello, i would like to know if battery life between a Stock Rom and a Custom Rom like (NeatRom) is various ?
So i don't know if it worth to go to this custom rom .. because i'm in stock rom right now with siyah kernel and some app frozen with titaniumbackup.. and i was just asking myself if i go to this custom rom with same kernel and same frozen app .. If i would see a difference between batterylife ?
Thanks
Nobody can answer that for you. You're only going to find that out if you try the other rom. Make a Nandroid backup of your current setup, then move to the other rom & try it out for a bit. That way if you don't like it, you can easily restore your current rom/kernel which obviously works well for you.

Speedmod K3-25 questions and doubts

Hey Guys
I rooted my phone yesterday finally
I however wanna install a new rom/custom kernel on it. However reading the reviews of roms, they have some bugs that i wudnt want..
After quite a bit of research, i found the speedmod k3-25..
Now my basic goal is to have a better performance and better battery life...and i have heard the speedmod does exactly that.
Now my questions are:
1. Is there any better kernel or a stable rom (by stable i mean no bugs in common usage) that enhances performance better than the speed mod?
2. I can directly flash the speedmod kernel after booting on CWM and choosing the speedmod zip, right? And it can be done on stock firmware and kernel with stock rom?
3. I will make a nandroid backup of my phone.. In case something goes wrong or i am not satisfied with the kernel, can the nandroid back up revert my phone to the previous state as it was with all apps and data intact? or should i use titanium backup..but in case the phone doesnt start, titanium backup will b useless.. :|
4. Lastly, will i need to a factory reset/wipe before i install speedmod or just need to flash it directly
Please answer the quesions
thanks

[REQ] Kernel for sola with good battery life

Hello.
I have sony rom stock for xperia sola but the battery drains very quickly .
Do you recommend any kernel with long life battery and a good performance ?
I don't neither a custom rom nor wiping my data, so a custom kernel stock based is what I'm looking for.
And I have another question:
If I flash a custom kernel, do I have to re-root and re-install cwm recovery ?
Thanks!
